The Bad Man

A few hours later Harry, holding Sirius’ hand, knocked on Draco’s door. Draco and Lilly had left to get changed and cleaned up and Harry and Sirius had done the same.

A moment later Draco answered the door wearing a fresh white button down shirt and a pair of black trousers. He made Harry’s mouth water just looking at him. “You look great,” he said with a smile.

“You don’t look so bad yourself, Potter,” Draco said with a smirk. Harry was wearing a pair of snug denim jeans and a polo shirt.

“Am I under dressed?” he asked.

“No, come in. Lilly is just putting her shoes on. She would like to go to pizza if that is acceptable to the two of you.”

Sirius grinned. “I love pizza!”

“I guess its settled then,” Draco said smiling at his son. His heart swelled when he saw how much he resembled the man he loved.

“Did you tell him yet?” Draco asked Harry.

“No, did you tell Lilly?”

“She already knew.”

Harry looked quizzically at Draco. “What do you mean she already knew?”

“You might want to sit,” he said with a sigh.

“Sirius, why don’t you help Lilly with her shoes.”

“Ah dad, girls always need help with everything!” he pouted but went to help her anyway.

Harry smile. “He has a bit of you in him.”

Draco laughed. “So it would seem.”

“So tell me about Lilly.”

“She’s a seer. It runs in the Black family. There’s one every generation. It usually only runs in the female line.”

Harry was shocked. “She doesn’t act like Professor Trelawney did does she?”

Draco smiled. “No, she is quite normal. She doesn’t go into trances or anything bizarre like that, she just knows things. She knew when she saw Sirius at the fountain that he was her brother. She knew when she saw you that you were her father. She didn’t really understand the two-father bit, but I promised to tell her about it later. I tell you, Harry, that’s one conversation I don’t want to have with her!”

Harry paled. “Yeah, me either. So who was the seer in the last generation?”

“My mother was. It used to drive Aunt Bella crazy that it wasn’t her. She said if she would have had my mother’s abilities then the Dark Lord would have never lost.”

“You know, Draco, your aunt was one of the few people I was truly happy to see get the kiss!”

“That makes two of us! That woman scared me for as long as I can remember!” he said shuddering at the memory.

“Alright, so we should tell Sirius then. He is not a seer and would never in a million years guess. I don’t think he even realizes that he has a missing parent. He’s always had me and Hermione.”

“So Granger went with you when you left?”

“Well who do you think delivered Sirius?"

“God’s Harry, how do women do it multiple times? Being pregnant and giving birth is just not right! I would take my father’s Crucio curse any day over that again!”

Harry laughed and whispered, “That’s not what you were saying a couple of hours ago.”

“Prat!” Draco said with a smile.

Harry laughed again and then sat down in one of the plush chairs that were in Draco’s suite. “Sirius, Draco and I would like to tell you something,” he said motioning for his son to come and sit on his lap.

“It’s ok, daddy, Lilly already told me,” he said.

“What did Lilly tell you?” he asked in surprise.

“That you are my daddy, and Draco is my other daddy and she is my sister,” he said with a smile. “Is it true?”

Draco shook his head at his daughter and said, “Are you sure she isn’t Grangers?”

“Draco!” Harry exclaimed knowing it was not a compliment.

“Daddy!” Lilly cried vehemently with both of her hands on her little hips. “I am not a know-it-all!”

Draco laughed. “Could have fooled me, my love! Of course, you know that I wouldn’t want you any other way!” he said scooping her up into his arms.

“So how do you feel about this Sirius?”

“I thought everyone had a daddy and a mommy. How come we have two daddies?”

Harry and Draco both looked at each other and blushed. “They don’t want to talk about that!” Lilly said.

“Lilly, how do you feel about me being your other dad?” Harry asked cautiously.

“I have your eyes. Did you know that my daddy says I have the most beautiful eyes in the world?” she said ignoring the question.

Harry smiled. “You have your grandma Lilly’s eyes. She would have been proud of such a beautiful little granddaughter.”

“I know, she told me.”

“What?” Harry and Draco exclaimed.

“She talks to me all the time. She’s the one who told me that you and Sirius were coming.”

“Draco?” Harry whispered.

“Later, Harry. Ok kiddo’s, let’s go get some dinner!” he said trying to smile and keep a pleasant look on his face. Perhaps his daughter wasn’t a seer after all. It was something to discuss with Harry later.

“Daddy, can I hold your hand?” Sirius asked Draco shyly.

Draco felt tears welling up in his eyes. “Of course you can, little man! But, I was wondering if I could give you a hug first?”

Sirius grinned and threw himself into his father’s arms. “I like having two daddy’s.”

Several hours later Draco and Harry brought two exhausted children back to the hotel. They had eaten their fill of pizza and then played video game after video game in the pizza parlor. The children stayed glued to each others side and it was apparent already that Lilly was in charge of them. Sirius was quite content to let his sister take the lead. Draco and Harry were amused to watch the interaction between them. Sirius wore his heart on his sleeve, much like Harry did, and Lilly was controlled and secretive just like her father. Both were happy and loving with each other and their fathers.

“Do you guys want to come in for a few minutes?” Draco asked.

“Yeah, but we can’t stay to long. We have another commitment tomorrow.” Harry said.

The two children raced through the door and headed straight for the bed. Both kicked their shoes off and immediately started jumping. Their squeals of laughter could be heard down the hall.

“Hey!” Draco exclaimed. “You’re going to get hurt!”

“No we won’t daddy!” Lilly said bouncing from one bed to the next.

“Ok, wild child, come here!” Harry said reaching for his giggling daughter and scooping her up and spinning her around the room.

Lilly wrapped her arms around his neck and said, “The bad man is here.”

Harry stopped. “What did you say?”

“Don’t open the door, the bad man is here.”

Draco and Harry turned and looked at each other. “Lilly, nobody is here,” Draco said.

“He’s here daddy!”

Draco turned and walked to the door at the same time someone knocked on it.

“Daddy! No!” Lilly screamed.

Harry held tighter to his terrified daughter while he and Draco looked at each other. Sirius sat on the edge of the bed with tears streaming down his face.

Draco turned and opened the door.

“My, my, isn’t this cozy?” Lucius said as he took in the scene before him.
