Not So Glad To See You

Ch 12. Not So Glad To See You

There she was met with a pair of glittering green eyes hooded with mischief and desire.

…………………………………………………………………………

“Sorry. I just couldn’t stay away.” Tom said and pulled her in for deep kiss. Every thought died away as Tom’s lips clashed to hers. In need for air she pulled away.

“Tom, why are you here?” she gasped

“Told you. I couldn’t stay away.” He grinned. “So, you going to ask me in or what?”

“No.”

“No?’’

“That’s right, I’m about to leave for Jessica’s house, but I’m sure she would not mind me bringing company. She was quite excited to meet you actually.”

“You told her about me?” ‘Merlin that was quick’ he thought to himself.

“Well, I kind of had to. She saw us yesterday…”

“Oh dear…”

“…and she demanded me to tell her who that black haired Adonis was.”

“Adonis eh?”

“Yeah, she thinks you’re hot.” She breathed against his lips. Tom groaned and nibbled her lower lip before pressing her against the now closed front door. He found her leg amongst her flowing skirts and hooked it at his waist. She fumbled the buttons on his trousers and gasped when she felt icy cool metal against her hot folds. The blade twisted and cut her panties clean open. He retreated the knife and slammed it in the wood of the door next to Lilith’s head. She never noticed the blade standing deep and proud just by her face. Her other leg wrapped itself snugly around his waist. They sighed contently when she sank onto him. It was a tight fit, but she enjoyed the stretch and friction he caused within her.

Right there, up against the front door of 10 Crystal Palace, Tom dedicated himself to the pleasurable job of rearranging the intestines of his mate, encouraged by her moans and mews of intense pleasure, not too quietly, not too gently and completely oblivious to scandalized passers by.

A few minutes later they sat stated on the stone stairs catching their breath. Tom had tucked himself back in and lucky Lilith didn’t need to as she still wore her green dress.

“Still heading over to that friend of yours?” he asked between heavy breaths

“Yeah. Got to pick up Lily. She’s been there all day. The house is probably a war zone by now.”

“How come?” Tom quirked a brow

“She has a tendency to hide things and if you turn your back on her for a split second, she’ll be far gone without you even realising it.” Lilith warned. She didn’t want to tell Tom about all the weird things Lily could do, like pop out of thin air, or make thinks levitate or change shapes. She even had an odd affinity with the garden snakes. Sometime it was like she was actually talking to them.

Tom on his hand grinned smugly. His baby was doing magic.

“She seems quite smart.”

“She is, but sometimes the kids in day-care pick on her because she smaller or because Keith is late to fetch her after hours Children can be so mean.” She sighed. She truly wanted to swat Keith every time he was late and left the two-year-old waiting at the gates. Tom frowned; like hell that would ever happen again. In fact, he would put up a ward at the day-care centre when he got the time. That meaning he would ‘curcio’ anyone who tried to hinder him in any way. Maybe a guard as well, wards tended to have loopholes, death eaters fearing for their skin didn’t.

“We could just pick up Lily and then go to my house. We could invite Cassander and his wife over. They could bring Lucius, he’s just a year older that Lily. I think they’d be great friends.” He felt Lilith stiffen.

“I can’t. I promised to spend the night with Jess. I don’t want to disappoint her.”

“Well, she could come too. In fact I think Kathy is having a spring party tonight with the entire family, children and all. It would be perfect to introduce you both to them.”

“I’ll ask Jess if she wants to, but if she doesn’t I’m not going either.”

“Fair enough. It will be a bit of a surprise visit because I usually don’t attend these things. Get kind of left out when everyone has got a kid to look after so they don’t get in trouble.” He paused and seemed to think, “Besides I want to show you two off.” He said finally with a cocky smile. Lilith rolled her eyes and pushed herself to her feet.

“C’mon. If we want to get anywhere before our baby exhausts herself we better move.” She said and jumped to her feet and extended a hand to Tom.

……………………………………………………………………………..

Five minutes later they stood in front of a house looking exactly the same as every other house in a five-mile radius. The only difference was the number plate, 22, and the magical wards around it. Lilith knocked on the door and a second later it opened to reveal a blond, angry and very familiar young lady.

“Jessie?” Tom croaked. ‘Great’ he thought, ‘I am in so much trouble.’

“Hello Mr. Riddle. Not so nice to see you again.” She replied icily.

“Well, what can I say? I strike fear in many.” Tom tried with a charming, but hesitant smile.

“Did I miss something?” Lilith asked in confusion.

“We went to school together, and this wazzock of a head boy was supposed to take one of my friends to the ball, but didn’t!” Tom gaped at Jessica.

“Gods woman. Are you still mad about that? It was ten bloody years ago!”

“Ten years has not done Violet any good since you dumped her!”

“We were never together in the first place!”

“But you were supposed to take her to the prom!”

“I got a bit tied up in the forest! Why am I excusing myself to you of all people?”

“Because I trusted her in your care! What do you ‘tied up’?

“Just that; TIED UP! And entrusting wimsy Violet Lovegood in my care was something I told you not to do. Repeatedly!”

“I’m not her mother!”

“I agree; four would be a three too many.”

“That was uncalled for.”

“It’s true.”

“Be that as it may, but it was still rude.”

“As rude as yelling at me for something that happened ten years ago?”

“Fine, truce?”

“Truce.” Tom said and extended his hand. Jessica just looked at it with doubt in her eyes.

“I did almost fail DADA Tom, but I distinctly remember you telling me never to shake the hand of a Dark Lord, especially one like you. I’m not that dumb. I did make the alpha corps after all.” Tom smirked.

“Well done. Can’t say I’ve been keeping track of you but I’ve heard some of my men complaining about ‘that little blond hellcat’. I’m glad to see my tutoring paid out.” He said as they walked through the front door. Immediately he was attacked by a red haired hellion. He caught her as she tripped in a toy and swung her up in his arms.

“Hey there. You have been having a good time?” Lily nodded eagerly.

“I did. You are the nice man from the park.” She said. “You make mommy smile. Can you be my daddy? I don’t like the other one. He is mean.” She said with her lip stuck out in a pout. Tom’s heart was thundering in his chest. She wanted him to be her daddy. He turned to Lilith with a questioning look. She smiled and nodded.

“Yes. I’ll be your daddy. Can I call you princess?”

“Mhm.” Lily twisted in his grip and waved to Jessica and Lilith.

“Mama, aunt Jessie! I got a new daddy, isn’t he pretty?” she said and hugged him around his neck. Tom chuckled and Lilith blushed crimson. He was indeed pretty.

Jessica rolled her eyes hand lead them to the kitchens.

“Can I get you anything?”

“No, actually we were wondering if you’d join us at a family part at the Malfoys?”

“And sign my own death warrant? I think not.”

“Oh, c’mon. Everyone will be there. Malfoys, Blacks, Zabinis, Lestranges…” Jessica quirked a sceptical brow, “Longbottoms, Potters, Weasleys. As you se, there are many non-crazy and not murderous Gryffindors there as well. It’s a children’s party, so Lily will have plenty of new friends. The seniors are not there because they really know just how to ruin a good celebration.”

“And what are you celebrating?”

“Didn’t know we needed a reason”

“You do when you’re taking us into the snake den.”

“Oh come on!” Tom was getting really frustrated now. “I just want to show my girls off and Lilith wont go without you, and I feel we have some catching up to do, especially regarding politics, I feel Dumbledore has put me in a rather unfair light.”

“Oh really? So you are not fighting to the complete suppression of those not born into your circles?” She shot sarcastically. Tom fought the urge to roll his eyes. Now would not be a good time to seem untruthful. He could really need one on the inside of the Auror troops.

“No, actually I wanted to establish an orphanage and a drop in centre so kids wont come to Hogwarts and have a whole bunch of near fatal accidents because no one told them how to deal with the things they would encounter.” He said calmly. “I’m sure things would have been easier for the both of us if someone had told us anything at all, like don’t piss off Peeves” his tone hinting towards an incident when Jessica had told Peeves to shut up. It didn’t work. Jessica cringed at the memory.

“I agree on that, but I still don’t believe you.”

“You don’t have to. Just come with the party with us. Please.”

“Oh fine!” she huffed. “I just have to change my clothes.” And with that she disappeared up the stairs with Lilith in her heels.

“It’s non-formal.” He called after them. Sighing he glanced at the girl still firmly attached to his neck.

“We going to party?” Lily asked and peered up at her father and met his gaze with matching emerald eyes.

“Yes we are, and you’re going to meet your god-brother, Lucius. He is really nice. I think you’ll be great friends.

“No, he wont like me.”

“Oh why is that princess?”

“No one likes me cause I do weird things. Mama just says I’m special, but they still don’t want to play”

“What weird things do you do then?”

“I can make things float in the air, or disappear and jump up and down. Sometimes I disappear too, then I pop up somewhere else” she giggled.

“Then I do not think you have anything to worry about. Lucius is special too.” Tom chuckled when her eyes lit up with hope.

“He will like me?”

“I think so yes. Do you want to float something for me?”

“Can I?! Yes I want to!” she said and wiggled herself out of her fathers arms. She sprinted on her little feet into the living room, which was a war zone. In her eagerness she tipped over a vase of red roses. The vase shattered into a thousand pieces the water flowed over the carpet and the roses scattered on top of it all. Lily stretched a small hand towards the heap of roses and one thorny blood red flower lifted itself apart from the rest and levitated in front of Tom’s face. He sat down in front of the mess and the rose followed. Tom was impressed. His two year old baby could do a spell that most eleven year olds struggled with the first few tries.

“Wow.” He breathed.

“Did I do well daddy?” Lily asked with a cute frown on her tiny brow.

“Yes dear. You did very well.”

“Can you make things float too?”

“Yes I can, but I want to show you something else as well, something I will teach you.” He waved a hand over the broken vase and whispered ‘reparo’ and the tiny pieces of crystal melted back together as if it had never been broken. Then he whispered ‘terkes’ to dry the water on the floor, and ‘levitas’ to float the flowers back into the vase. He looked up at his little girl and saw her standing mesmerised. With a small smile he whispered the final spell; ‘aqua dissorto’ to refill the vase with water.

“There. Good as new, eh?” he was about to stand up when he heard a sharp intake of breath and turned around.

‘shit’ he thought.
