The Quartet And The Marauders: The New Time Line
Chapter: Twelve Becoming Mrs. Potter-Finnegan
Acacia stood back and took in her appearance in front of the bedroom mirror of her older bothers guest room. She could hardly recognise her self, her mother, and her aunt Petunia, along with Hermione and Ginny had really gone and done a wonderful job.
She was dressed in a floor length flowing white spaghetti strapped gown, that didn’t flare a lot at the sides, like most wedding gowns tended to. She was wearing the neck lace and earrings along with the bracelet her mother had worn when she had married James her father.
She had paired it with the exact tiara her aunt Petunia had also worn on her wedding day. A white vale made of the most delicate materiel flowed out behind her finishing at her knees.
She had slipped into a pair of slim back high heeled shoes, shoes she knew would be killing her well before night fall, and she could finally remove them.
Her mother passed her a bouquet of red, pink and pure white roses tied with golden and scarlet ribbons, Gryffindor colours, hers and Seamus’s old Hogwarts house.
Everyone looked up when they heard a knock on the door. Acacia took and deep breath knowing who it was, before she called out “Come on in.”
Acacia turned to not only see her father standing by the door but her oldest brother and her brother in law. They were each looking at her in awe. Harry was the first to come back to reality and beamed at his sister with pride.
Remus told her “You look absolutely lovely. Seamus is an extremely lucky man, I just hope he realises that.” Acacia walked over to Remus and gave both he and Harry a big hug.
She had always been fond of Remus, always had a soft spot for him. So when he married her bother, she had been thrilled, she couldn’t have hopped or possibly asked for a better brother in law or a better and loving husband for her bother.
Finally she turned to her father, who was eyeing her lovingly, his adoration for his baby girl evident. She happily went into his out stretched arms and cuddled her father, still even now at the age of eighteen loved how it felt to be cuddled by her father.
James pressed a kiss to her head and told her with a small smile “You look beautiful sweet heart. I can’t believe this day has finally arrived, it seems only yesterday that you were all excited over receiving you Hogwarts letter and getting your first ever broom.”
Acacia pulled away so she was at arms length with her father before she spoke, her eyes shining with unshed tears of happiness. “I’m still that same person daddy; I’m just merely getting ready to take the next and important step.”
She smiled brightly with tears in her bright and shiny green eyes “I’ll always be your little girl, I know that you feel like your going to lose me, don’t try to deny it I know you far too well. You’re my father and I love you, not even I becoming some body’s wife will ever change that, you were first man in my life and will always be my number one.”
James now had unshed tears glistening in his beautiful and bright hazel brown eyes. He clutched his little girl, who was now also a woman, to him. And whispered in her ear “I love you to sweet heart, always remember no matter what, you made me proud to be your farther, you and your brothers and sisters have carried the family name with pride, and for that I couldn’t be happier.”
After a few more moments, just relishing the moment and being in each others arms, they pulled away. James gently wiped away the tears that had fallen from Acacia’s bright green eyes.
Finally they were ready. Both took a deep breath. And arm in arm James led his daughter out of the room and down the stairs and walked with her to the apperation point, before apperating to Hogwarts grounds. Luckily James had permission to apparate on Hogwarts grounds. So he and Acacia didn’t have to use the floo network, and her wedding dress didn’t get dirty.
Once they had arrived James and Acacia waited for their cue to go inside the great hall where the wedding ceremony was gong to take place. Acacia had already been informed that Seamus was already inside and was waiting for her.
Father and daughter instantaneously took a deep breath, as the wedding march begun to play, echoing off of the walls of the great hall, as the large and tall double oak doors, were opened.
Arm in arm, James and Acacia walked down make shift isle as a tiny flower girl, one of the smaller Potter-Lupin’s, walked down the isle a few steps a head and was throwing red, pink, white, yellow, crème and peach rose petals onto the floor. She was dressed in a sweet little robes of satin and lace, light Purple.
A head of her, was one of the younger male Black-Wesley’s, as a Page boy. He looked extremely cute dressed in a miniature tuxedo, with a little black bow tie and white shirt. He was carrying a small white pillow covered in a light layer of lace. On the pillow were two fake golden bands.
Obviously no one trusted the little guy to not lose the genuine rings, which of course were in the safe keep of Dean Thomas, the best man. Of course they weren’t about to tell the little guy that, they after all wanted him to feel special, and that he had a part to play like everyone else.
Once James and Accica reached the front, James gently handed his daughters hand to Seamus. He then shot his soon to be son in law a look that spoke volumes. Words weren’t needed. Seamus wasn’t by any means stupid. He knew not to mess with an ex auror an ex auror who was a master of wandless magic, who had come face to face and won against Voldemort on more then one occasion.
And finally, as his bride to be shot her father an exasperated look of affection, Seamus thought of the fact there was also to take into consideration, that he was faster and a sight clever and skilled. And of course he was the father of one Harry James Potter-Lupin, his future bride’s older brother, who had also hissed a word of warning to his friend in regards to his younger sister.
So no, Seamus Finnegan didn't have any intentions of getting on the bad side of one James Landon Potter Or Harry James Potter-Lupin, the latter being even more lethal to him, due to the fact he was the one to finally do Voldemort in once and for all.
As soon as everyone was settled, Albus went through the usual formalities, before asking if anyone knew any reason why they shouldn’t be married, which of course no one did. Then he asked who was giving the bride away, naturally James came forth before sitting and said “Her mother and I do.”
Albus then rambled on for five or so minutes, about the importance of marriage and that it shouldn’t be entered lightly. He then proceeded to move onto the vows.
“Will you Seamus Joseph Finnegan, take Accica Lily Potter, to be your, lawfully wedded wife?” Seamus replied “I will.” Albus then asked the same of Accica “Will you Accica Lily Potter take, Seamus Joseph Finnegan, to be your, lawfully wedded husband?” She replied “I will.”
Albus then continued as he turned back to Seamus and Accica “Seamus please repeat after me” Seamus nodded in understanding. “I Seamus Joseph Finnegan” Seamus repeated “I Seamus Joseph Finnegan. Do take thee Accica Lily Potter; do take thee Accica Lily Potter, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to be my lawfully wedded wife.”
Albus went on “To have and to hold” Seamus repeated “To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for richer for poorer. For better and for worse, for better and for worse, until death we do part, until death we do part.” Albus then turned to Accica and went through the same process with her.
“I Accica Lily Potter” Accica repeated “I Accica Lily Potter. Do take thee Seamus Joseph Finnegan; do take thee Seamus Joseph Finnegan, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to be my lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for richer for poorer, for better and for worse, for better and for worse, until death we do part, until death we do part.”
Albus then turned to Dean and asked him “Can I have the rings please Mr. Thomas?” Dean quickly removed the both rings from his inner left jacket pocket, before placing them in the centre of the book Albus had been reading from.
Albus instructed Seamus to take Accica’s wedding band, and repeat after him as he placed it on her left ring finger. Seamus nodded. He picked up the smaller and thinner solid golden band of the two. Albus then said “Repeat after me. I Seamus Joseph Finnegan give you Accica Lily Potter this ring as a symbol of my love promise and devotion I dewed.”
Seamus repeated as he took Accica’s hand and gently pushed the ring securely onto her left ring finger, to rest along side her engagement ring. “I Seamus Joseph Finnegan give you Accica Lily Potter this ring as a symbol of my love promise and devotion I dewed.”
Albus then told Accica to take Seamus’s ring and repeat after him, and slide the ring on Seamus’s left ring finger. “I Accica Lily Potter give you Seamus Joseph Finnegan this ring as a symbol of my love promise and devotion I dewed.”
Accica repeated and took Seamus’s left hand in her own. “I Accica Lily Potter give you Seamus Joseph Finnegan this ring as a symbol of my love promise and devotion I dewed” she gently pushed the ring down onto his left ring finger, it was a prefect fit, just like her own was.
Albus then took out his wand and conjured a golden cord with tassels on the end, he then magically tied the rope with a flick of his wrist, binding Seamus’s and Accica’s left wrists together. He then used a charm that was not a verbal charm, to bind the couples souls and magic to the other, as well as in mind and body.
The couple gasped when they felt a vast amount of magic flowing through them, as a bright blinding light surrounded the couple. The light ceased as soon as the individual cords had magically dissolved into the wedding rings of the couple.
Then lastly Albus asked Seamus and Accica to take out their wands and place them wand tip to tip, he then told them to repeat after him, at the same time, together as one.
“I bind my soul, body, mind and magic and life to you. I make this promise and vow to bind my wand to your wand, stating my wand shall never be used to harm thee no matter what.”
This part of the ceremony was required, when and if completed properly, it prevented each member of the couple from taking their wand and causing physical harm to their spouse, no matter what.
Seamus and Accica placed their wands tip to tip and repeated “I bind my soul, body, mind and magic and life to you. I make this promise and vow to bind my wand to your wand, stating my wand shall never be used to harm thee no matter what.”
When they had completed the vow as one, golden sparks emitted from both wands and straight into each others, before glowing gold. Once the couple had secured their wands out of sight, Albus removed the illusion and announced “I now pronounce you to be husband and wife you may kiss your bride.”
Seamus exchanged a look of delight and adoration with Accica, before they leaned forwards and Seamus gently cupped Accica’s face with his palms, as he gently captured her mouth with his own, in a loving and passionate kiss, as he gently and lovingly fingered one of her long and soft raven curls, moving his lips against hers. They pulled away after a few more moments.
Everyone began to clap and cheer as Albus announced “It is my utter most pleasure and honour to announce to you all today, Mr. Seamus Joseph Finnegan and Mrs. Accica Lily Potter-Finnegan.”
Dean and Seamus exchanged a manly hug, patting each other on the back quickly, before separating. Accica hugged her maid of honour, who was her best friend Sara-Jane Walsh, her former dorm mate and fellow Gryffindor.
Then arm in arm, Accica and Seamus walked down the isle, finally as husband and wife. Everyone continued to cheer as they walked down the isle, throwing enchanted rice that turned into multi coloured butter flies when released into the air.
Now all was left to do, was to get though the reception, and of course hope Seamus survived James Potter and Harry Potter-Lupin, when they were informed along with the others, what the newly weds had been keeping from them all of this time.
