CHAPTER 12
“Thanks.” Harry took his wand back from Snape and tucked it into his robe as he watched Snape finger his new length of wood. The wand was beautiful, sculptured out of the finest cedar with its grip a part of the actual length rather then the more common added piece. The market was teeming with people but none even spared the unusual pair a second glance. Harry thought it fitting really, that after the Ministry wipe out of Knock turn Alley, the less reputable trade wizards had gone somewhere else to see their wares. The market was set up in a circular pattern, each trader with his own handcart for easy removal and concealment should the Ministry come looking.
The wand had cost them nothing a favor, of a favor or so the trader had said. Harry hadn’t missed the dark mark on the sellers forearm as he’d reached across to give Snape the wand. It was apparent suddenly to Harry that there were more death eaters still on the run than the Ministry ever let on. With a wand now securely in his grip Severus seemed to come out of himself a little, his returning persona shining through the repression of Azkaban. In a small corner of the little market Snape had used his wand to dress himself, and create some supplies for them before finally straightening himself out.
“We need a place to stay for a little while, some place preferably with access to potion supplies.” Snape furrowed his brow as he thought for a moment before Harry smiled up at him.
“Draco.” Harry whispered by way of explanation and watched as Snape’s expression darkened.
“No.” Snape shook his head in refusal.
“We don’t exactly have a lot of choice and besides he’s the only person I know that’ll put us up without spilling his guts to the Ministry.” Admittedly Harry didn’t like the idea of calling on Draco Malfoy either but they had little choice in the circumstances.
“I don’t want him involved, last time….” Snape trailed off and closed his eyes as he took a deep breath in and calmed himself before continuing. “…It isn’t a good idea.” Snape finished his hand shaking slightly around the grip of his wand. Harry stared at Snape and shook his head defiantly.
“We’ve got no where else to go, now shut up and let’s get going before we’re traced.” Grabbing hold of Snape’s bony arm Harry flicked his wand and with crackle they were swirling through the vortex of apparition and being deposited on the roof of one of the shops in Hogsmeade. Snape glanced across at Harry dubiously as he glanced over the edge of the roof and down onto the bustling street below. It was obvious a Hogsmeade weekend and the place were crawling with Hogwart’s students. The place was also crawling with Auror, all of who were keeping a keen eye on their surroundings.
“I thought it prudent not to land us in the street.” Harry grumbled as he shimmied his way across the slate tiles and pushed open the attic window to crawl inside. Snape followed him in, to drop down silently in to the little room, Draco had obviously adapted into his bedroom. Harry glanced around smugly at the blonde’s room, noting acutely the open ‘Wizard’s Wang’ magazine lying open and discarded on the end of the bed and the tub of lubricating potion poking out from one of the bedside draws.
“Still masturbating like it’s going to fall off tomorrow I see.” Harry chuckled darkly instantly regretting it as Snape glared at him angrily. Draco had, had problems in school. Problems he never told anyone and certainly no one ever knew about. Harry had found out by accident, pure coincident really while he’d been cleaning Snape’s cupboards during one of his many detentions. There been a potion bottle labeled Malfoy hidden at the back of the cupboard. Harry’s nosiness had been his failing as he’d opened the potion and rubbed a little on his fingers. Almost instantly his fingers had heated up, and a strange tingling sensation was rippling up and down his hand. Harry wasn’t sure why he’d licked a little of the potion but he’d regretted his decision ever since. His tongue had hardened like rock, stiffening and swelling so that it stuck out of his mouth like a giant slug. The heat pulsing from his tongue had made his eyes water and the rippling sensation tingled his teeth. It had occurred to Harry after his tongue had gone down after an hour or so, what the potion was designed to do. A Malfoy unable to get it up was so absurd it was laughable but it had been true. Harry had never mentioned it to anyone knowing he’d have to repeat the story how he’d found out but it certainly made Malfoy’s sexual prowess around school seem far less effective in Harry’s mind.
Tip toeing to the door Harry gentle eased it open and glanced into short hallway outside. The shop was small, a converted terrace house that was build for one person to live in. When he was sure no one was waiting Harry crept out into the corridor and took the stairs carefully down to the landing, so he could glance around. The kitchen and lounge at the bottom of the stairs was empty but Harry could hear voices through the door leading out to the front of the shop area. Slowly edging his way down the stairs, Harry gestured for Snape to stay out of sight. Harry rounded the small kitchen and living area slowly before coming to a stop in front of the sink to glance out of the back window and into Draco’s small garden.
“And what the fuck do you think you’re doing?” Harry froze as he felt the warm tip of a wand pressed into the curve of his spine from behind.
“I need help.” Harry breathed out slowly as he tilted his head to side in order to see Draco, who’d snuck up on him.
“And just tell me why I should risk all this for a traitor…” Draco spat before both wizards spun around as the stairs behind them creaked.
“Because you’d be doing it for me.” Snape appeared at the bottom of the stairs, his own new wand aimed squarely at Draco who stared at Snape as if he had two heads. Admittedly Snape still looked a lot different from before his stay in Azkaban but he was still the same person. “Hello Draco.” Snape whispered as the blonde stared at Snape in silence. For a moment Harry worried that Draco was going to curse Snape but slowly the blonde lowered his wand and closed his gaping mouth with a click before finally breaking the extended silence.
“Hello father…”

A/N Yay, some new readers/reviewers I'm so pleased you've joined us on the great couch that is my fiction. Anyway thanks for all the reviews and I must say, if you didn't see this major plot item coming then you obvious neglected to read into some of things that Draco said previously. Anyway I'm not done with the twists yet, there's one more to come in the next two chapters but you'll just have to do some grovelling I think, if you want them posted by the end of the day..... *laughs evily*
Apart from that, I reject all rumours that I change my plot to keep the readers off the scent with thier 'guesses', I just genuinly enjoy hearing what you all think is going to happen, thus it makes it all the much sweeter when I know what's coming and you don't.....*yes alas I'm sick but then again I think that's a requirment for anyone who writes this kind of ficiton* Also I'm glad you liked Neville's character, he'll be in the next couple of chapters as well but I can't help getting a queasy feeling about his fate in this story....*Shrugs shoulders* But let's not jump that far ahead. Hope you enjoyed the little smut I through in,I'll leave it up to you to decide who was who... Please, if you're genuinely enjoying this story drop me a review or even an email, I love hearing all the wonderful things you think.
Cheers
