Burying A Friend
Harry buried Hedwig on the Hogwarts grounds. He cried as he covered the last bit of grave with dirt. Hermione stood over him feeling bad for him as well.
\" Hedwig was my eleventh birthday present,\" he told her. \" I never had a friend before.\"
\" Professor Snape believes that Ron did it,\" she told him. Harry got mad at those words. He got up and brushed himself off.
\" I\'m going to make him pay,\" he snapped. \" I\'m going to kill him.\" Hermione grabbed him and made him look at her.
\" Please don\'t,\" she begged. \" I don\'t know what I would do without you. You are the kindest mosoughoughtful person that I\'ve meet and I don\'t want to lose you.\"
\" But what about Ron?\"
\" He will pay for what he has done, and I\'m going to make sure of it.\" Harry let her hold him and she cried her eyes out. That afternoon when Harry and Hermione returned there was a basket for him. He took the card and it read.
To: Harry
From: The staff of Hogwarts.
Dear Harry,
We\'re sorry for what happened to Hedwig. I hope that this makes you happy and I know that it\'s not the same as Hedwig but I think you\'ll like it.
Professor Dumbledore.
Harry slowly opened the basket just in case it had a basilisk inside it, it turned out not to be a snake, but a bird. A baby phoenix. Hermione gasped when she saw the bird.
\" It pretty,\" she told him. It sang a note and at once Harry felt all the anger flood from him. He picked up the bird and held it.
\" I\'ll call you-,\" he picked up the card and it said that the bird was a girl. \" I\'ll call you Hermione.\" Hermione felt a tear run down her face.
\" Thank you.\"
\" No problem,\" he replied. And putting Hermione in her basket he fed her and then they started on the work that even Hermione was neglecting.
Slowly things returned to normal and Hermione the phoenix g Soo Soon she was as big as Fawkes and one day during mail she dropped off her first letter to Harry, it was from Dumbledore. And all the students loved her.
\" How did you get your hands on a phoenix?\" Asked Dean.
\" The staff gave her to me,\" Harry replied.
\" What\'s her name?\" Ginny asked.
\" Hermione.\" At once Ron\'s eyes narrowed. He was determined to bring down Harry Potter, he might of missed killing Snape, but he wasn\'t going to miss killing Harry Potter. Then Hermione would be his forever.
