Transfer Students

A/N: This chapter is dedicated to my good friend Nancy, who, despite never having read any other HP literature, has decided to read my fic(to make sure I don\'t falsely interpret her character, I\'m sure).

Chapter 11- Christmas

*Christmas Morning*

\"Harry, get up, it\'s Christmas!\" chirped Leigh as she shook him from his
slumber.

\"What time is it?\" asked Harry as he searched for his glasses on the night
table.

\"11 O\'clock, time to get up and open presents. I woke up around 6 and opened presents with Fenton. Eric said he\'d been up since 4.\" she chuckled.

\"You could have woken me up sooner, I wouldn\'t have minded.\"

\"I wanted to let you sleep. Anyways, let\'s get downstairs, we\'re all going to
open presents together.\"

After making sure they had everybody\'s presents, Harry and Leigh headed
downstairs to the Dining Hall where they were supposed to meet up with their friends.

*In the Dining Hall*

\"Finally! We thought you weren\'t coming!\" moaned Seamus.

\"Well, aren\'t we impatient! Anyways, we\'re here, let the ceremony commence!\" laughed Leigh.

They passed out presents until everyone had an identical pile of presents in
front of them as they sat indian-style on the floor.

\"Ok dig in!\" said Dean excitely.

Harry\'s first present was from Ron. He hadn\'t expected much, since Ron hadn\'t much money. He tore off the wrapping paper to reveal a beautiful new chessboard with Harry\'s initials engraved on the carrying case. {Cyndi must have helped him buy this, unless he has a new job I don\'t know about} thought Harry as he silently thanked Ron who was sitting across from him. Hermione had gotten him replacement polish and wax for his broomstick servicing kit, along with a photo album filled with pictures of the trio from earlier years. Dean and Seamus had both chipped in to buy him tickets to the next Quidditch World Cup, which would be taking place next summer. {How did they manage to buy tickets already?} Harry wondered. Two presents remained, the first of which was from Eric and Nancy.
Harry opened the box from Eric to reveal a card saying that he has been given a year\'s gift subscription to Playboy, and a tube of lotion. Upon further inspection, Harry found a note at the bottom of the box that read:

Harry,

This is a gift to get you through those nights when
you\'re sent to the doghouse by Leigh. Use it well.

Harry quickly tucked the note back into the box and smiled to himself. {He must have been in the doghouse a lot.}Harry laughed inwardly. The last present in front of him was from Leigh, it was quite small, about the size of a jewelry box. Carefully unwrapping and opening the box, Harry lifted out the contents slowly to reveal a miniture version of the latest edition of racing broomsticks. He looked over at Leigh by his side with a confused expression. She leaned closer and whispered, \"Engorgio!\", thus returning the miniture broom to it\'s original size. Harry was speechless, it was beautiful.

\"Thought you\'d like it.\" smiled Leigh as she saw the look on his face.

\"But I thought yesterday was a sample of my present. I didn\'t think you were actually going to get me something,\" he laughed.

\"Well yesterday was part of it too, it\'s just I couldn\'t exactly give the rest
of that particular present in front of everyone.\" she laughed.

\"I suppose not, although...\"

\"Harry! You perv.\" she smiled.

\"What?! I was just going to say it would be funny to see everyone\'s reaction if you did.\" he laughed,\" Thank you though, it\'s gorgeous.\"

\"No problem. So, where\'s my present?\" she smiled.

\"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Here ya go.\" he replied, handing her a small box, \"This one is sort of a present to both of us,\" he smiled, raising his eyebrows up and down suggestively. She just laughed and opened the box. Inside was a tongue ring encased in a little metal box labled: The Tiggler Vibrating Tongue Ring.

\"Thanks, we\'ll have to try it out later.\" she laughed. \"Looking forward to it,
now open the other box, that one\'s the real present.\" he said eagerly. Leigh
opened the small velvet box to reveal a Marquise aquamarine birthstone, accented by two round diamonds, set in 14k white gold.

\"How\'d you know that was my birthstone?\" she asked, surprised.

\"I asked Eric. You like it?\" he asked hopefully.

\"Of course! It\'s beautiful, thank you!\" she replied giving him a quick kiss.

\"I also had the inside of it engraved.\" he said motioning for her to look at the ring more closely. On the inside of the ring, \" HP loves LP, Forever and Always\" was inscribed.

\"Oh Harry, it\'s gorgeous! I love it!\" she replied as she slide the ring on her
right ring finger, with a single tear falling from her eye.

\"Ok, no need to get all mushy on me,\" he smiled, \"At least not in front of
everybody.\" She laughed.

\"So, did you all like our presents?\" she asked the group with a smirk.

\"Yes, I think I may test it out later, thanks Leigh.\" said Seamus with a wink.
Leigh laughed.

\"Did you like your present, Hermione?\" Leigh asked with an evil grin.

Hermione blushed. \"Yes, thank you Leigh, that was very.......thoughtful of you.\" replied Hermione with a smirk at Jared.

\"Well, you guys have about four hours until the Christmas feast so feel free to do whatever.\" said Leigh with a raised brow and a smirk.

\"I\'m just gonna go have a chat with Nancy real quick about the gag present I gave her, I hoped she liked it.\" whispered Leigh to Harry with an evil gleam in her eye.

\"Oh, what did you get her?\" he asked curiously.

\"A baked potato wrapped in tin foil.\" she laughed.

\"I don\'t get it.\"

\"It\'s a long story, just come with me. You can ask Eric if he liked his
present.\" she smiled.

\"Alrighty then.\"

They quickly stood up, leaving their presents on the floor until they went back up to their room, and headed over to Nancy and Eric.

\"Hey Nance, you like my present?\" Leigh asked trying to hold back a snicker.

\"It was lovely, I\'m sure you put soooooo much effort into it. NOT!! You are such a B-I-CHI-CHI-H!\"

(A/N: the B-I-CHI-CHI-H thing is a little inside joke between me and my friend, it makes me miss the good ol\' days *sighs* ah. Anyways, on with the story, sorry to interrupt)

\"Look who\'s tallking!\" laughed Leigh.

\"So, Harry, did you like my present?\" asked Eric as he steered the two of them away from the two reminiscing girls.

\"Yeah,\" laughed Harry,\" You must have experience in being in the doghouse, huh?\"

\"Oh yeah, plenty of times. Not my finest moments.\" laughed Eric.

\"I can imagine.\"

\"I heard you met Rain yesterday.\"

\"Yeah, it was rather.....uncomfortable.\" blushed Harry.

\"Yeah, I know how she is.\"

\"Someone say my name?\" chirped a familiar voice behind Harry.

\"Oh, Hi Rain, Happy Christmas.\" said Harry quickly as he turned around to face her.

\"Merry Christmas, Harry. Merry Christmas, Eric.\" she replied with a wink.

\"Hey sis, did you like my present?\" asked Leigh as she joined them.

\"Loved it.\" she replied, taking Leigh and Nancy aside to talk.

\"So, how is everything going between you guys?\" she asked eagerly.

\"Great. And with you?\" replied Leigh.

\"Not bad. So what did lover-boy over there get you for Christmas?\" she asked with a smirk.

\"This,\" Leigh replied, showing them the ring.

\"Wow, lover-boy has taste.\" smirked Rain.

\"Yeah, he had it inscribed as well,\" replied Leigh handing the ring over to Rain so she could see the inscription.

\"HP loves LP, Forever and Always? Bit of a romantic, eh?\" laughed Rain passing it to Nancy to view.

\"That\'s so sweet,\" said Nancy sarcastically, \"Uh oh, Leigh and Harry, sitting in a tree, F-U-C-K-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes ANOTHER baby in the baby carriage.\" she laughed.

\"You are so childish,\" remarked Leigh, holding out her hand for Nancy to return her ring,\" Besides, I can\'t even CLIMB a tree, let alone fuck in one.\"

Nancy and Rain burst out laughing.

\"What\'s so funny?\" asked Harry, who had joined them moments after Leigh\'s reply.

\"Nothing,\" the three replied in unison, trying desperately to stifle a giggle.

\"Okay then. Eric suggested we all have a quick bowl while we wait for the feast to be ready. Wanna nip upstairs and put away our gifts real quick?\" asked Harry excitedly.

\"Sure, be back in a few guys.\" replied Leigh with a wink at her sister and
friend before hurrying off with Harry.

\"Have you ever bowled before?\" asked Leigh as they made their way onto the elevator.

\"No, but I\'m looking forward to it. Sounds like fun.\"

\"OHHHH SEAMUS!!!\" bellowed a husky voice passionately as they passed the room
Seamus and Dean were sharing.

\"Think they are enjoying my present?\" asked Leigh smirking.

\"Oh God, I don\'t even wanna know. Stop looking at me like that.\"

\"Like what?\" replied Leigh.

\"Like I knew about this....them, whatever is going on.\"

\"Well, you DO share a dorm room with them.\"

\"Yeah, but not a bed. I am as shocked as you are.\" he laughed.

\"And here I was thinking that they were lonely, I was going to introduce them to some of my other girl friends. Oh well, as long as they\'re having
fun.........And it DOES sound like they are.\" she laughed.

\"Oh shut up, we gotta get this stuff in our room and jet downstairs.\" replied
Harry urgently.

\"Yes Master.\" she laughed, leading him into their suite.
