I do not own Harry Potter nor do I own Anita Blake. And I make no profit from this
Ch 11
Note: I know I haven't updated in a while, but I had writers block (so don't hurt me...)
Harry blinked, he had absolutely no idea what was going on. And Lanna's mother seemed to be rather frustrated.
"Werewolves have political pack structure. A pack is pretty much run like countries used to be run; by the royalty. So you have your Ulfric or Lupa, they are the king and queen. Then you have your Freki and Geri, the Freki is next in line for Ulfric, and Geri is next in line for Freki. Now what are the rules of the current Ulfric?"
"Fenrir is a complete tyrant," Remus answered.
Harry watched as Anita blinked in suprise, "Well then, in that case we either need to infiltrate the pack with someone of more power or take over the pack."
"Take over? How is that possible?" Snape asked.
"Well, once the position of Freki is reached, you can declare Fenrir and challenge the Ulfric. After that, the position of Ulfric is left to the one still breathing."
Harry gasped, "You mean a fight to the death?!" He couldn't help himself he swiveled his head and gave Remus a very concerned look.
"Don't worry, Harry, Remus isn't suited for the job so he wouldn't be the one to do so. And even if we tried to make him, he'd never even make it to Geri," Lanna reassured. Harry studied her, she looked so pretty sitting their giving him the reassuring head bob. He sensed a strength that seemed to seep off of her and in affect gave him strength.
"If Lupin isn't right for the job who is?"
Ms. Blake once again locked eyes with Remus, "Tell me about the Ulfric and then I can tell you."
"What do you want to know?"
"Would he be able to tell if someone was after role of Ulfric and if he'll kill him."
Harry watched as Remus mulled over what Lanna's mother had asked, "I think Fenrir would enjoy a challenge depending on who was challenging."
"If it was a woman?"
Remus's eyebrow rose, "I think it would amuse him to great lengths, along with other pack members."
Lanna's mother nodded, "I'll have to see if this interests our Freki."
"I'm sorry but I thought you were only tied into the Vampires," Snape growled.
"No I am Lupa and Nimir-Ra to the local pack and pard."
"Then you are not human?"
"I'm as human as you, Mrs. Weasley, just harder to kill thanks to my vampire marks."
"Then how did you obtain such...titles?" Snape asked.
"I was dating the Ulfric at one point and I ended up killing the old pard leader. And since there were no dominants in the pard I took the role."
"Anyways...I want to get back to Harry in all this," Lanna announced.
"I thought that question had been answered?"
Harry locked eyes with Lanna, "He's too innocent and naive to kill someone, even knowing they're pure evil. He has that Boy Scout feel. And how's he supposed to start this with some bogey-man even you adults can't handle?"
