“Do you have any idea what the hell your doing. We gave an illegal potion to Wormtail if Dumbledore found out what we did or even the Ministry we will be in huge trouble.” James said with a panic.

“I know what I’m doing Prongs. The effects of the potion is wearing off him now and won’t be in his system when the Headmaster arrives.” Remus replied calmly as he took his wand out and turned to Pettigrew a malicious glint in his eye. “Stupefy” he cried out and the spell hit the little worm in the chest.

“Remus what are we going to do? Do you have a plan on what your going to tell the Headmaster when he gets here?” James asked looking at Peter sadly.

“Yes I’m going to tell him that we found Peter with the mark on his arm and that when we questioned him why he told us the truth. I don’t see any reason to tell him that we gave him a potion to tell us the truth do you.” Remus replied looking at James urging him to go along.

“Your right that’s the best thing. I’ll go look for the Headmaster.” He said walking to the door of the room. It was when he was about to open the door there was a knock. The two boys looked at one another and then James opened the door to find the Headmaster outside the door with a smile on his face.

“I was told by Silly that you boys needed my assistance.” Dumbledore said looking at the unconscious figure of Peter Pettigrew. “Oh dear what happened to Mr. Pettigrew?”

“Well you see he’s been acting weird lately and so we followed him here. When we got here he was acting even more weird and suddenly he showed up his left forearm.“ Remus said as James pulled up Peter’s sleeve. “When we asked him why he had that on his arm he told us that he joined the Dark Lord and that he felt that he was alone and that only the dark lord understood him. He said he hated muggleborns and other nasty stuff. We stunned him and requested that you be brought here at once.” He finished with disgust evident in his tone.

“Well thank you boys I’ll handle it from here. Is there anything else you wish to tell me. It won’t leave this room I promise.” Dumbledore replied.

The boys looked at one another and then back at the headmaster in question. Then realizing that the headmaster new everything that went on in the castle they looked a little guilty.

“Well he didn’t willingly tell us this. I wished I had a potion that could make him tell the truth and a vial popped up and I noticed that It was the truth serum and so I dropped a couple drops into his tea. I’m sorry Headmaster but we had to know why he took the mark. He was telling us that he was forced into taking it. Then he stated under the potion that he willingly killed Elizabeth Kensington and that he took the mark shortly after. It was an initiation that everyone has to go through.” Remus replied ashamed at what he done but thought that he would do it again if he had to.

“Well thank you for being honest with me but if word got out that you used an illegal potion on him to coerce him into telling you. I’m afraid that they would let him go. However don’t you worry about that now. I’ll take care of everything but you boys need to leave now.” Dumbledore replied. “Where is Mister Black?”

The boys were nearly to the door when the question was asked they turned slowly to the Headmaster who seemed to have a twinkle in his eye.

“He is sitting with a friend who isn’t feeling like herself tonight.” James replied as he turned and walked out the door Remus was following when he heard the headmaster reply.

“Did Miss Granger transform tonight? Is that why her and her friends didn’t show up in the Great Hall. Oh How dreadful. That shouldn’t have happened at all. Have Miss Granger come and see me as soon as she was up to it won’t you Mr. Lupin.?”

With a nod of his head he walked out of the doorway and watched as the door disappeared and then walked back to the common room. Dumbledore knew that Hermione was a werewolf. Why didn’t he inform me of such things he thought as he entered and walked up the stairs to his dorm room he shared with his best friends. He peered out the window and looked at the tree that protected Hermione from Hogwarts students. He wondered what they were doing now. He was lost in his train of thought that he didn’t hear James enter the room so was startled by a hand on his shoulder but recovered quickly and gave a slight smile.

“So what do you think happened? To Hermione I mean?” James asked curiously

“I don’t know Prongs but she did transform. I watched it begin with my own eyes. Or at least I did and when I was crawling out from under the Willow I heard her howl. There is no explanation.” Remus replied still contemplating everything he had heard and seen tonight.

“But if she was from the future like she says and she was due to transform on this date in her time. Do you think it has anything to do with it?” James asked again trying to figure this out along with Remus.

“It doesn’t matter it’s the full moon that causes the transformation, not the date James. She shouldn’t have transformed.” Remus replied looking at his best friend with confusion.


Meanwhile in the shack….

“That was wicked Hermione. You actually transformed into her and then back.” Ginny said as she brushed a hair from Hermione’s forehead.

“I did?” A confused Hermione replied looking down at herself. “Strange I wondered if I changed back because it wasn’t a full moon?”

“Well what should we do now? Should we go back to the castle and talk to Dumbledore about this? Pansy asked curiously.

“Actually I think I’m going to stay the night down here guys. But if any of you want to go back to warn off suspicion that’s fine. Pansy I know the Slytherins or especially Snape will wonder where you are if you don’t return so you go ahead.” Hermione replied a little weakly due to be so tired.

“Well you are right about that they will wonder where I am. I overheard Bellatrix Black say something along the lines of showing me the ropes.” Pansy replied with a shudder. “I don’t know if I should take that literally or not. But with her I think I’ll take it literally. She’s the type.” Pansy replied looking a little pale.

“Oh come on it’s not like you haven’t been tied up before. It’s something your use to.” Luna replied.

“Only when Draco does it thank you very much. However we are talking about Bellatrix Black future madwoman extraordinaire you do the math Looney.” Pansy replied with a glare.

“Your right Pans, I forgot we aren’t in our time. Look if anything happens I wanted you to know that you’re a pretty cool friend and that it was lovely knowing you.” Luna replied.

“Thanks Luna, your not so bad yourself.” Pansy replied back and then both girls started to giggle when they heard a throat cleared. Both girls turned around and realized that Sirius Black was still in the room.

“Sorry about that Black. We got a little carried away. Are you angry we were talking about what is she to you? A cousin? Well she is psycho in our future. Azkaban can do those kind of things but I only just realized that I don’t think all of it was Azkaban.” Pansy said as she walked over to him and stood looking at him with a smirk.

“Actually it’s a family thing. I think I’m the only one that wasn’t born with mental illness, well besides Andromeda, Bella’s older sister.” Sirius replied before walking back to the bed that Hermione laid on and handed her a goblet of water and some bread.

She took the contents eagerly and drank down the water and ate the bread with gusto. She handed the goblet back and he sat it on the table next to the bed and turned back to her.

“How are you feeling? Do you need anything for pain? I could sneak up to the Infirmary and steal some potions for you.” He said without any second thought but then looked sheepish.

“I’m a little tired actually and my bones ache. But I think I’m going to sleep here tonight. I don’t want to think this is over and then get to my room only to change again and it stays that way you know.” She said tiredly while Ginny conjured up a blanket and laid it on top of her. “You don’t have to stay you know. I’m sure Remus is going crazy with worry. Why don’t you go on back and let him know I’m ok for now.”

He looked as if he didn’t really want to leave. He didn’t like the idea of the girls being alone in the shack without someone to watch over them. But he chose to not say anything he nodded his head and stood up.

“Ok well who will be staying?”

“I’m staying here with Hermione and if I need anyone I will send my patronus it’s a Rottweiler. Luna are you going to be staying?”

“No actually I think I’m going to do some control at the tower see if anyone notices your gone. Don’t want the Head Girl or Professors looking for you.” Luna replied standing up from her spot on the floor.

“Good idea Luna and Pansy your going back to the dungeons to accept your torture it seems so we can’t exactly summon you back. Just remember don’t tense up. I’ve personally been on the receiving end of her wrath and cry out as much as possible. She likes to hear her victims scream.” Ginny replied with a smirk knowing she’s just annoying Pansy.

“Thanks for the advice Spitfire. No wonder she thought you were her best of the years.” Pansy replied as she started to giggle.

“Ok guys shut up so I can sleep already. If nothing happens I’ll see you all tomorrow ok. I’m just glad it’s Sunday.” Hermione replied curling up in the blanket and closing her eyes.

Everyone nodded and Sirius, Luna, and Pansy walked out of the room and left the shrieking shack through the tunnel under the willow and walked back into the castle. Pansy nodded goodbye before entering the dungeons and Sirius and Luna walked backup to the tower.

“You know she really likes you right. She actually has since she was like fourteen.” Luna replied dreamily.

“What? Who?” Sirius said confused.

“Ginny! I know she can be infuriating at times. But she has had six older brothers and they have all been overprotective and mean to her. It’s understandable. She’s the only girl but it can be a drag sometimes you know. When she realized she had a crush on you. She began to stay out of area’s she knew you would be at so that it wouldn’t be noticed. The twins would have given her hell, Ron would just yell at her and call her names. But then you died and she was sad and quiet for almost a year, only Hermione and I knew why. We were the only one’s that she told about her feelings to. She was in love with you and now she’s scared because if she lets her heart open up and something happens here and now and then we go back and your gone she’ll be devastated. But hopefully by exposing Peter that everything will be alright.” Luna said looking at Sirius before turning and walking the rest of the way up the hall towards the Fat Lady. Leaving Sirius behind to think about what she just said.

A/N Well sorry this chapter took so long to put up and thank you all for the reviews you post. One in particular I wanted to reply about that was sent to me at Fanfiction.

No Severus Snape isn't one of the ones who has killed to join the Dark Lord. He is being accepted because he's skilled in making potions and the Dark Lord needs him to make potions for him. However There is one that will be accepted into the ranks a little earlier then they should be but only because someone else put in a good word for him.

Anywho i'm writing another story as well as this one. I'm like 14 pages in on that one. It's going good. I'm looking for a beta for that one if anyone is intrested and knows what they are doing give me a holler.
