I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Chapter 10: Kurama spills his guts.
Hi everyone! Shiny-chan is here! I’ve been so busy with work that it’s hard to update. Please be patient with me and I’ll
continue to (hopefully) wow you. I’d like to let you all know that I have posted an initial chapter for a Fruits Basket story
I’ve titled Building Trust On Short Notice. Please check it out and review! Now to respond to my reviewer.
Bats: I’m sorry if it seems rushed but I am taking this seriously. I would like to make this seem like a great well thought
out story so if you have any pointers let me know. Thanks for faithfully reviewing for me; it makes me feel like someone
appreciates me. So Thanks! BTW I won’t say anything about Karasu. He may or may not be dead I haven’t decided yet. He did
die in the series though.
Thrnbrooke: Nice to hear from you again! Please keep reading and reviewing. I was beginning to wonder if you didn’t like my
story anymore, but now I feel much better!
Back to the story!

Chapter 10: With a hot cup of caramel macchiato from Starbucks! Yummm.
Kurama stood up from the couch and gestured to one of the seats. The slight smile on his face told Harry that he wasn’t angry
about the eavesdropping. Harry sat in an empty seat close to Shiori but far for Kurama.
“I can tell you’re just bursting with questions, Harry. I’ll try to answer them honestly for you. I trust you. Your aura is
dark but honest.” Harry stared at Kurama skeptically and wondered whether or not he should just leave well enough alone.
“Well my first question is pretty simple. Are you even human?” Kurama’s eyes moved to Harry’s face in a slow appraising glance.
“Before I answer your questions, you must promise me that you will not tell anyone what I’m about to tell you. Will you do
that for me?” Harry looked skeptically between Kurama and Shiori.
“Ok, I agree.” Kurama nodded and sat next to Harry.
“Very well, but I will know if you told someone. You cannot tell even Ron or Hermione. No I am not human. I am a fox demon
named Kurama and I, along with Yusuke and Hiei, were sent from spirit world to protect you and help train you so you can defeat
Voldemort no baka. Dumbledore asked us to come because he no longer felt like he was enough to protect this school.”
“I can’t believe you’re a demon! That’s weird and cool at the same time. How strong are you?”
“To properly explain that, I must tell you about the strength categories for demons. The lowest level of demon is the E-class,
who are slightly stronger than a normal human. D-class are about as powerful as a normal witch or wizard. C-class are about the
same power as Professor Dumbledore. There is a huge power gap between a C-class and a B-class. A single B-class demon can
destroy and entire city using only a fraction of their complete power. An A-class demon is exponentially stronger than a B-
class, able to destroy a country easily. Above that is the S-class. The powers of an S-class demon are legendary. There is a
legend that the fall of Atlantis was caused by an S-class demon. I am an A-superior class demon, and so is Hiei.”
“What about Yusuke?”
“He is S-class, but he rarely needs to use his complete power.” Harry was in awe of the powerful demon that stood before him.
“Wow. So what class would you judge my power level to be?” Kurama’s eyes turned gold briefly as he read Harry’s aura.
“Hmm. I would say you are a C-inferior class with potential for B-class, but you need lots of training before you get there.
Now that you know about us, your training needs to begin right away. Pick one day out of the week and you’ll have training on
that day every week.” Kurama’s eyes turned abruptly to the shadows.
“You can come out now, Hiei. I know you’re there listening.” Hiei stepped out of the shadows silently, scowl firmly placed on
his face.
“What the hell are you thinking, kitsune no baka!? You just gave the secret away! What proof do you have that he won’t blab
the minute you turn your eyes away?” Kurama smiled tightly at Hiei and crossed his arms.
“It’s simple really. To reach our objective, Harry must trust us. The easiest way for him to trust us is to tell him the truth
up front.” Hiei stalked towards the portrait hole and opened it, before turning to face them.
“We could have protected him without revealing everything,” he switched to Japanese, “I have reason to believe our objective
will be easier if we find a way to make Malfoy and Potter friends. That’s all.” He walked out and slammed to portrait behind
him. Harry looked at Kurama sadly.
“If it’s that much trouble, you could just obliviate me.”
“No Harry. It’s important that you know. Have you decided on a day for your training yet?”
“Yeah. What about Saturday?” Kurama nodded.
“Yes. That will work, but it’s getting late and you should get to sleep.”
“What should I call you, Suichi or Kurama?”
“Call me whatever you like.”
“Okay, I’ll call you Kurama. Good night!” Harry jogged up the stairs to the dorm rooms. Shiori turned her head from where
Harry had disappeared and looked at her son.
“Did you plan that like Hiei thought you did?”
“Of course I did. I knew the minute Harry walked into the room. You should come to Harry’s training sessions. You might have
demon energy because you carried me.” Shiori stood up and yawned. She shrugged her shoulders and opened the door to her room
off the commons.
“I’ll think about it, Don’t stay up too late, you need your rest too. Good night.”
“Yes Mom.” She walked into her room and closed the door and Kurama went upstairs to the room he shared with the three other
boys. He walked over to Yusuke’s bed and brushed some stray hairs out of his face. He looked at the snoring Yusuke for another
minute before placing his head in his hands.
“What have I gotten myself into?”
