Chapter Eleven

Draco was up eating with the rest of the Slytherin students who had decided to grace the world with their presence so early in the morning. He was enjoying a nice plate of eggs and toast, while keeping his eye out for his Harry.

To his surprise, Ronald Weasley stomped in alone, looking angrier then he had the first time Draco had insulted him. If he were feeling more impulsive, he might have made an effort to go see what was up with the Weasel, or at least to poke some fun at him before class started. However, for whatever reason, Draco was more then content to stay where he was. The toast was extra good today.

His friends seemed to notice the change in him too. Instead of insulting Ron Weasley the first time he saw him, as was usual, Draco was happily chewing on a piece of toast. His fourth piece, if they weren’t mistaken. That was weird too. Draco usually ate sparingly in the morning.

Pansy was eyeing him as if he had been possessed, while Blaise and two slightly bruised goons named Crabbe and Goyle leaned close to each other and whispered ideas on what could have caused the change in the Slytherin Prince.

Draco finished his toast and was about to reach for another piece when Pansy slapped his hand away from the platter. “What is WITH you today, Draco!? You usually never eat, and now you’re more interested in food then insulting the lower life forms inhabiting the Gryffindor table. There’s something up – and don’t try to deny it.” The rest of his friends nodded. They all agreed with what Pansy had said.

The Slytherin Prince stared at Pansy for a moment before deciding the truthful approach was best in this case.

“Well, if you all MUST know, last night when I disappeared during the Quiddich game, I was making hot, mutually satisfying, boy-on-boy love to a certain Green-Eyed-Gryffindor on the roof of this very building. He was the best sex I have ever had, and I have no plans to dump him. To add to that, I am fairly sure I am pregnant with his baby, though we have a while to wait before I can be sure of that.”

He stood up, leaned across the table, and grabbed another piece of toast. “With that, my fellow Slytherins, I leave you to think. See you in Potions class!” He stepped over the bench and was gone before any of them could lift their jaws off the table.
