part 11
Harry sat on his bed next to Hermione sobbing, “I can--Can‘t be-believe that he said th-that,” He stuttered.
The young witch wrapped her arms more securely around her friend as he cried. She tried to sooth him, to tell him that things would be alright and that no matter what he still had her and Ron to lean on. They weren’t leaving him anytime soon, not in his current condition.
“Mate, why don‘t you lie down and I‘ll go see if Remus can get you a sleeping draught?”
Harry nodded and Ron made his way out of the room. When he found Remus, the werewolf was just walking down the hall heading back to Snape’s room.
“Oi, Remus, can you do me a favor?” The redhead asked before they reached Snape’s door.
“Yeah, Ron what do you need?”
Ron stuffed his hands into his pockets out of habit, he wasn’t use to asking favors from teachers, or ex-teachers as the case was. “Well, Harry‘s having a hard time getting to sleep and I was wondering if you could get him a sleeping draught or something to settle him down a bit?”
The older man nodded, “I‘ll see what I can do. Stay here.”
Remus disappeared into the Potion Masters rooms and after a few minutes returned with a violet potion for Harry. He didn’t say anything to Ron, only handed him the vial and gave him a small smile. Ron nodded his thanks as he watched the werewolf disappear again into Snape’s rooms, closing the door behind him.

After reentering Snape’s rooms after giving the potion to Ron, Remus put up a few silencing charms, knowing full well that this conversation wasn’t going to be pretty.
When he was done, he advanced on his old schoolmate, “WHAT THE HELL DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING?”
Snape stood from the desk, he’d already sent his letter to Albus and was only awaiting his reply. “Honestly I don‘t know,” Severus said rather calmly. He didn’t have a straight answer for that question because so many things were going through his mind when he’d taken Harry that night, so many different reasons for doing it, so much hatred and longing, so much lust. Maybe not all for Harry but he seemed to have been that one to trigger all those feelings in the older man.
Remus seemed to become a little more infuriated, “That‘s Not Good Enough,” he stressed each word, as though they were each a sentence all their very own.
The dark haired man shook his head, his hair wiping across his face then settling back at his shoulders, “I haven‘t got an answer to that question, so you‘re just going to have to take that one for all it‘s worth.”
“He‘s not James, Severus. You can‘t do this to him!”
At the mention of James’ name, Severus bowed his head. Maybe that’s why he did it, the young boy looked to be the splitting image of his father, the man that Snape was so in love with back in his years at Hogwarts. Though he knew back then that nothing could have came to their relationship, if you could call it that. They use to sneak out at night so see each other, to make love, then they’d retreat in the early hours of the morning back to their respective dorms, not to be seen by anyone. Few people knew of their relationship, Remus and Sirius being two of them.
Pushing those thoughts to the back of his head, Snape snapped back, “YOU DON’T THINK I KNOW THAT!!!”
“Bending him over a desk!? How could you take advantage of him like that?”
“It was easy, I didn‘t think about it, I just did it,” he said placing emphasis on the word easy, hoping that the wolf got the point that he though Harry was easy, the thought that he didn’t fight back, that he let him take him willingly.
“That‘s the problem, Snape, you don‘t think. You never do, you sure as hell didn‘t think when you betrayed Lilly and James to Voldemort!” Remus retorted as he brought himself to face the Slytherin.
Remus’ comment was a low blow to Snape but he refused to let the pain show, and with his mask still in place, he replied in anger, “No, you know as well as I do that I didn‘t betray James or Lilly, you‘re little rat friend did. It‘s his fault that they’re dead, not mine. Don‘t try to pin that on me!”
“Oh, Peter gave away their hiding place but you told him about the prophecy!”
In an attempt to change the subject and avoid the emotions that were rearing their ugly head, Snape said, “The betrayal of James and Lilly have nothing to do with why you‘re here right now, so why don‘t you get to the point?”
“The point?” Remus said shaking his head and remembering the pregnant youth that was down the hall, hopefully fast asleep. “The point is that you are the reason that Harry is with child and you will step up and be a father!”
“Not until I am sure that I am the father!”
“Severus, I know that Harry wouldn‘t lie and especially not about this. You are the father and you will take responsibility for your actions!”
“I guess we‘ll know soon enough, won‘t we?” the Slytherin said as he heard a scratching at his window and walked over to let a large barn owl in.
“What‘s that?” Remus asked as Snape took the scroll from the owls outstretched leg.
“A letter from the Headmaster, it seems that he‘s coming here in the morning along with Poppy to find out if Harry really is carrying my child,” He said as he handed the letter to the other occupant of the room.
Remus read over the letter a few times before looking back up at Snape, “Harry‘s not going to be happy about this.”
“Well he‘s just going to have to get over it, isn‘t he? This conversation is over, I‘ll see you in the morning.”
Remus turned, took down the wards and left without another word. He hoped that Sirius wasn’t awake yet.
