The Change

I know I said no more AN that didn't go with the story but this does concern the story.

Alright everyone.. It is time to buckle down.

I am wishing to put this story up on more web sites. The thing is, the main one I wish to get it accepted to, I need a beta in which to do so.

My request for a beta is as follows.

1) You are serious about being a beta and know what you are doing. Example, with misspelled words that I have. Names for one, being characters or common every day words. My Grammar. I know it sucks.

2) I wish for a beta that will be there for the full run of the story. I have had so many issues with my beta deciding for no reason that they no longer wished to be my beta. I understand that real life does get in the way but I ask that I am given a reason.

3) I wish my beta will do the work and return it in a timely matter. While I don't expect the chapter to be returned the next day. I hope for a timely return. Keeping the chapter for a week or longer, seems like a big time frame. If a real life issue comes up, please email me and let me know, I will understand.

And for those who are confused...

Hermione hasn't crossed over. She isn't fighting. That's what started the mess she is in. She is with Severus.

Ginny has already crossed over, doing so last year. She is with Draco and naturally, she will want to be with her boyfriend.

Charlie was always a Death Eater, hence the reason he was at the gathering of followers in the last chapter.

Remus and Tonks are helping them. Bellatrix came to them for help in finding Hermione. Remus thinks of her as his daughter and wants to help. If you remember in an earlier chapter, Harry explained to the Order what happened with Hermione. So Remus and Tonks heard. They are Hermione's friends and want to bring her back safe.

I hope this explains better as to who is where and why.


Chapter 11


Remus was standing in the living room, ever so often looking over his back down the stairs. It had been two days since they returned from the meeting and Tonks had been working hard to locate the missing witch. The werewolf sniffed towards the door then started towards it, knowing who was there before the knock even sounded.


He opened it and looked out to see Molly standing there. "Remus, Ronald has vanished. He's been gone for two days and even Harry has no idea where he is."


Remus arched his eyebrow. "Are you suggesting, I know where he is?"

"No. I was just wondering if you heard something."

The werewolf shook his head. "Not a word. Any word on Ginny yet?"


Molly nodded. "She sent an untraceable owl to us. She doesn't want to have any more contact with the family. Ginny is very upset with what Ron did and she is taking it out on us. Now two of my children are gone but enough of that. Any luck on finding Hermione? Ginny said that she had seen her about."


Remus snorted. "Molly, I know you are lying. Ginny hasn't sent you an owl. If she did, the Order would know. All incoming and outgoing posts are monitored. As for seeing Hermione out, that I don't know because the young witch wishes to be left alone."


Molly 's face started to darken with anger. "Is Tonks around?"


"She's busy at the moment. I'll tell her you stopped by." He shut the door, before she could respond and turned, walking away.

A few hours later, Remus had taken Tonks something to eat and drink. The woman only stopped trying the spell long enough to sleep and use the bathroom before starting again. The door was kept shut at all times, keeping prying eyes away from her task. Remus sat down and checked the wards to make sure they were still intact.


A few minutes later, Voldemort came through the floo and into the house. Remus nodded his head and sat back with a sigh. Voldemort took the other chair and summoned some drinks for them.

"I take it there has been no luck?", he asked, his voice full of concern.


Remus shook his head. "Wherever Ron took her, he warded it pretty solid. She still has a day yet before the actual time frame. I just hope she can break through."

Voldemort nodded. "Indeed. Something has been bothering me, Remus. Care to answer a question for me?"


"If I can.", he replied.


"Why are you helping us?", Voldermort quickly asked.

Remus stood and picked up a picture of Hermione off the shelf above the fireplace. He sat back down in the chair and sighed.

"I think of Hermione as my cub. As if I had sired her myself. Tonks and I were the people she came to after her parents murder. She wouldn't confide in anyone else but us. I guess it helped that she accepted me for who and what I was with no fear of what I could do. Hermione even helped calm me when I didn't have the Wolfsbane potion. She gave me hope that I could be loved and cared for, even if I was a monster.

I am also helping due to the love I can see that Severus has for her. Somehow she was able to break through the walls he had constructed over the years. Hermione's love isn't recent, she has loved Severus for many years. I am just sorry it has taken something like this for it to come out."


Voldemort nodded. "I understand. You know, I don't expect you and Tonks to fight for us. I just want Hermione back as much as you do."


Remus smirked. "You never know. Honestly, myself and Tonks are the same as Hermione, we don't want to fight. The Order knows they are loosing power. That is the only reason they are mad at Ron right now. Without Hermione doing her research, they don't know what to do."


Their conversation was cut short as Tonks threw the door open to the basement. "I found them.", she gasped.

Hermione slowly blinked her eyes, coming back to. She turned her head to the left, seeing Ron sitting in a chair, looking at her.

"I see you finally woke up.", he said with a smirk.


She shrugged, noting she wasn't in a body bind. "My nose feels like it is broken."


Ron waved his wand, healing it. "Yeah, well I couldn't have you running off again. It took me all this time to find you."

"Maybe I didn't want found.", she spat.


He motioned to the brand on her hip. "S S, for Severus Snape?"


Hermione's eyes lowered into slits. "I am not your concern. So what if I am with Severus. Your not my boss or family. I can do as I want."


Ron glared at her. "By the time I am finished with you, the greasy git won't have anything to do with you." The redhead smirked as he started walking towards her, waving his wand and getting rid of his clothes.

Severus and Lucius had quickly broken through the wards, replacing them immediately. It wouldn't do for Ron to find out they were there. Before long, the two were walking up the stairwell of the old house and slipped into the room, hiding in the shadows.

Hermione had started to try to fight, causing Ron to place a partial body bind on her. A quick flash of platinum blonde hair had her freezing in her tracks and forcing her sight to lock on the spot. There she saw two black hooded forms, both with their wands held out. Her smirk was missed by Ron as she lifted her arms.


"Your right, Ronald. I won't fight you. There is no way possible that anyone could find me and what Severus doesn't know, won't hurt him. Come, make love to me."


Severus stiffened in anger, causing Lucius to reach over and shake his head, then point back to Hermione. The look on her face had him nodding back to the blonde.

Ron never questioned Hermione's change and didn't look at her face. He climbed on top of her, releasing the spell.


Her arms went around his back and as he was kissing on her neck, she motioned for the two to come to the bed. Just when Ron got ready to enter her, a voice hissed in his ear, causing him to freeze.

"Boo. Mister Weasley. We found you."

Lucius took off his cloak and threw it over Hermione's body, trying hard not to look at her. He had respect for Severus and didn't wish to make the wizard more mad then he was. When she was wrapped up, he gently laid an arm over her shoulder and steered her to the hallway.

"Severus?"

He turned, looking at her. "Yes, my love?"


Hermione smirked. "Make it last and painful.", she spoke as she shut the door behind her and Lucius.


Ron's face paled. He knew then, he was a goner.

As the redhead 's screams sounded through the door, Hermione looked at Lucius. "Severus will be mad at me won't he?"


Lucius looked over from his seated place and smiled. "Why?"


She held up her hand, counting on her fingers."Well for one, I got captured. Two, how I acted in the room. Three, what I said. Four, I didn't fight back until he came to have sex with me."


Lucius cut her off with his hand over her own. "Hermione, Severus understands. He knew that you saw us in the room and he knew that you had to do something to capture that brat's attention. It was an act and we are both aware of it. Besides, you can't fight back if you don't have a wand and we knew the minute we stepped in you were under a partial body bind."


Hermione leaned her head back on the wall. "How did you find me?"


Lucius smirked. "Your secret keeper."


"My who?", Hermione asked in shock.


Lucius chuckled. "Your secret keeper. My cousin in law to be exact. Tonks." He looked towards the door as Ron screamed high pitched. "Bellatrix went to them the day you vanished, asking for help. Remus appeared with myself and Severus, telling us within minutes who had taken you. Charlie Weasley was the one who thought of the spell to find you and Tonks, being bound to you was able to do so. The spell usually takes three days, Tonks did it in two."


"I must remember to thank all those who have helped."

"They would appreciate the jester. Now you know that you are loved by many people."

The two looked up as Severus came out the door, wiping his hands and giving Hermione back her wand. "So, whose going to do the honors of delivering the body back to his mother?"

Hermione waved her wand, dressing in black. "I will. This is something I am really going to enjoy doing. Trust me, I will be fine. I know the proper spells to cloak my signature. Where should I return to?"


Severus kissed her gently. "Malfoy Manor."


"So be it."


Hermione walked into the room and the two men heard the pop of her taking the dead boys body and vanishing. With a secondary and third pop, the two apperated back to the manor to wait.

Hermione was able to apperate in, due to the spells she knew on the wards. She placed the body how she wanted it and then stepped up on the porch, knocking loudly, then stepped back to wait.

Molly ran to the door and opened it, with hope that it was about Ron. She froze at seeing Hermione standing off the porch, in the yard.

"Hermione? Child, come inside. Are you alright, have you seen Ronald?"
Hermione nodded. "Your stupid Order just couldn't leave well enough alone could you? If you had watched Ronald more closely, this wouldn't have happened. Serves him right for everything he did to me. Attacking his sister, beating me, trying to rape me. No, he got his just rewards."


Molly started to shake in fear at hearing the tone of Hermione's voice. "Hermione, dear, come inside. You are under a spell.."


Hermione's bark of laughter cut her off. "Why is it that every time someone does something that isn't in your plans, they are under a spell? I am perfectly fine and have been for the past few months. Let's just say that Ronald fixed this problem for me. And to think, I had actually thought about coming back to help."


Molly stepped out further on the porch. "Hermione, where is Ronald?"

"One out of seven. I wonder who will be next. Let this be a warning, if your precious Order tries to interfere again, more will die."

Molly looked at her, starting to fill with anger. "What do you mean seven? There are nine Weasley 's total. You know that."

Hermione smiled. "Like I said, Seven. Two of your children are no longer in your reach and haven't been in a while."

"Stop playing games, Hermione. Where is Ronald?", Molly asked trying to stay calm.

Hermione pointed her wand up to the roof of the porch. When Molly looked up, a drop of Ron's blood landed on her face and with a flick, his body crashed down on the porch. The stunned woman looked over to the young girl who now was wearing a very Malfoy like smirk. "I mean it. While I didn't kill Ronald, myself. Your precious Order is lost without me. Thank him for that. Wait, you can't. He's dead."


The last thing Hermione heard before she apperated out was the screams of Molly Weasley over her youngest son's death. When the family rushed out, Hermione's laugh could be heard, echoing through the night air. Arthur shivered at the laugh. While he knew it was Hermione, it sounded just like Bellatrix 's laugh at the Ministry in their fifth year.

Hermione met the gathering with a smile. "It's done, and I need a bath. I'll put the memory in a pensive. May I use a guest bathroom?"


Lucius nodded and turned to Narcissa. "This way, Hermione."

Hermione stopped halfway up the stairs. "Draco, keep Ginny close to you. That family now knows that two of the children have crossed. They just don't know which two. Forgive me for stating what I did but I felt like it was necessary. It accomplished what I wished for it to."


Draco nodded and kissed the top of Ginny's head. "Go help her Gin. We have to gather a meeting tonight."


Ginny nodded and ran up the stairs as Voldemort called the meeting of his followers.
