Intermission
Draco stood on the roof of a luxurious flat, he stared out onto the London horizon and took a deep breathe. He would go hunting tonight. He felt the urge to fight, to kill off those that preyed on the weak, those that would kill the innocent mortals that made the world run. He growled kneeling down as he felt someone pop into existence behind him, who would disturb him? Who would be so stupid?
“Draco?” Hermione’s soft voice soothed him instantly. He turned and recognized Professor Shacklebolt standing slightly behind her and narrowed his eyes.
“What’s going on?” Draco asked, she took a deep breathe, the dying light giving her an ethereal goal. From the depths of Shacklebolt’s robes he produced a weapon he had only seen in books.
“Hellbind,” it called to him, the dripping crimson stone blinding him for a split second. He walked forward and lightly ran his hand down the pummel and then lifted it into his arms. It was a comforting weight and with it he felt suddenly less vulnerable.
“We believe that your father is still alive,” Hermione murmured, looking into his searching eyes.
“How?” Draco asked. Hermione looked up at Shacklebolt.
“You understand the Bloodtie, don’t you?” Shacklebolt asked, Draco glanced at Hermione and she felt a wave of anger flash through her that he didn’t tell her about such a big thing.
“My father mentioned something about it,” Draco replied.
“I was once his Escort,” Shacklebolt explained.
“So that is why you know so much about Vampyrs,” Draco mused.
“Well besides all that, we kind of have a pretty powerful half-Vampyr that wants your blood,” Hermione spoke up.
“So what do we do? Yeah, now I have Hellbind but he’s been doing this for a lot longer than I have,” Draco asked.
“Collect Ragnarok and Apocalypse then let him come to you. That is something I never understood about Lucius, he always went to them even if they were going after him,” he suggested.
“Then we have our work before us,” Draco brushed past them to the roof access.
“Draco, are you sure? Is this right?” Hermione called after him.
“He is part of the Blood Clan, I can’t let him go on,” Draco answered almost monotone.
“He’s also your father,” she pointed out, Draco turned back to her.
“I have no choice, he made his choice when I was young. There is nothing more that I can do,” Draco answered then disappeared down the stairs, Shacklebolt trailing after. Hermione watched them silently, she was frowning, wondering why she cared so much on whether Lucius lived or not. He was an evil murdering bastard.
TBC
Notes: I know, this chappie is just filler until I can figure out what I want to do next…don’t worry, soon I’ll be getting on with the story, fear not! I will come up with something worth reading!
