Back at Hogwarts
Chapter # 11: (returning back to Hogwarts.)
Harry, Draco and Snape returned back at Hogwarts the day before the beginning of term. They unpacked and settled in once again. It was hard to believe that Harry had just spent three whole weeks with every person he cared about. It was the best three weeks of his life. He and Draco were now inseparable, but Snape didn’t seem to mind, he could tell that his son was happy and that was all the mattered to him.
***********
A few weeks into the new term Harry awoke feeling sick. He groaned and rolled back over throwing the covers over his head in the process. Just as he had fallen back to sleep his father opened his door and turned on the light.
“Harry get up, your going to miss breakfast,” he said as he made his way over to his son’s bed.
Harry’s response was another groan followed by a muffled “go ‘way.”
This got Severus’ attention and he immediately went into overprotective father mode, “What‘s wrong?” he asked.
“don‘t feel good,” the Gryffindor moaned.
Severus placed his hand on Harry’s forehead, “You don‘t feel feverish. What‘s wrong?”
“feel like I‘m going to be sick,” Harry just got the words out before rushing to the bathroom and emptying what was left in his stomach into the toilet. When the boy was done, he looked up only to meet his father’s gaze from the doorway. The Slytherin walked over to the sink and wet a cool washcloth for Harry.
“Feel better?” his father asked.
“a little.”
Severus nodded, “Good, now get ready for class, you’re going and then if you‘re still sick then you can go see Poppy later.” and with that the older man turned and walked out of the room. He didn’t doubt that Harry was sick, after all he’d just witnessed him vomiting. No, he believed that his son was coming down with something, he just didn’t know what and he didn’t think that it was too serious that he couldn’t go to class.

a few nights later at dinner Severus watched on as Harry just sat there pushing the food around on his plate. He knew that his son was still sick but didn’t know exactly what was wrong. He awoke several mornings to the sounds of retching coming from the bathroom and Harry didn’t spend much time with his friends much anymore; It seemed that he’d rather sleep than do anything. He did look more tired than usual, Severus noticed. There were even some days when Harry didn’t want to see Draco or himself, he’d lock himself in his room and not come out unless he needed to.
Even though the potions master didn’t know exactly what was wrong with his son, he did have a suspicion. He didn’t want to believe that it could be true, but he knew that someday he’d have to face the facts. He just wished and hoped that that day would come later, like when he was Dumbledore’s age or something.
