Lyssa: Yay, indeed. I hope that you like Salazar in this next chapter.

Criosdan: Yep, he should, shouldn’t he. Never mind, find out in this chapter.

ShilohDarke: Curiosity killed the cat you know Shiloh! Don’t write if you feel you can’t, I push myself sometimes and regret it at nighttime... anyway, I hope that this chapter captivates you even further.

Pam: Thanks, and hopefully here’s another.

LaBibliographe: Yep, Molly that head of seven children lecturing on contraceptives when I doubt she’s used one in her life... pretty funny idea for a fic though. I actually got there before you. Ginny was quite happy to give it to the first person that she came across... she thinks I’m weird. As for the love triangle... well Severus does know women I think; and he understands her to some extent... as to whom she loves, all settled in this chapter. And the founders, yes, they’ve been creeping around begging for and appearance in my stories for a while now. Especially Salazar, that naughty scamp!

Mary: Both are jealous of the other for different reasons. But yeah, the ending came as a bit of a surprise.

Lady Lynn: Well, Snape’s suitor status is going to be answered in this chapter. Yes, it was mean, but I have disciplined Rodolphus highly for doing it lol! (Oh, this is just my sense of humour... oh well!)

BuffyXO: Yes, I hate Cho. And I used to hate Ron but I have slightly warmed up to him when I realised I just didn’t like him with Hermione but otherwise he’s kinda okay. Remus Lupin took his place. I think that you’ll get the answer to that in this chapter.

Jade: Answer is in this chapter.

angel: Again, the answers to those questions in the following chapter.

Heather: Hmm, both? No, I don’t think so. I know what you mean though... Her choice is made though.

jcm: Aww, you know I can never get used to the fact that people like my stories. I wonder why... oh well. As for My Fair Witch, all the stuff for that is on another defunct computer. I can’t write anymore of that until it’s fixed... which I don’t think is likely until after Christmas, really annoying as it’s a brand new computer that I have had for only like a month. Same goes for most of my stories that haven’t been updated for a while.

marie_606: I hope that you will like this update. I enjoyed writing it.

RipeWickedPlum12: Is this fast enough? Glad you’re enjoying the story.

Citten: No, I suppose you’re used to it being the other way around. I hope that you like this chapter though. Severus was a naughty boy but he was only taking advantage of a situation – leave him alone, he’s only human.

BuckyKattGirl: Hermione is only eighteen years old, with two strong-minded, and well versed in the arts of seduction, men after her. So, she’s bound to be confused. She’s not happy with herself either. But Severus was rather persuasive. I will defend her actions a little here as I know exactly what its like to have two different guys go after me at the same time; both were nice, both were gorgeous (well I thought so!) and both I had A LOT in common with. One even liked Opera..., which is something I enjoy, and you don’t get many straight men liking Opera! So, yeah, I’ll defend Hermione here. Why isn’t Lucius angry with her? Because he knows why she caved... don’t worry that whole scene had a purpose. Trust me!

Saturday

Hermione woke up the next morning feeling the warmth of the sun on her face. She smiled as she remembered that it was a Saturday. She could have a lie in. She looked at the bed and frowned. This was different. This bed was bigger and there were decidedly more pillows. She also felt something solid against her back. She turned her head around and would have leapt out of the bed had she not been trapped.

She remembered waking up at around three in the morning knowing that the last place she had been was Lucius office. She was conscious of two men arguing about her or for her; and she remembered having a rather erotic dream concerning a man wearing a lot of black with black hair. She connected all the disjointed parts of her memory together and realised what it was that had happened.

Severus Snape was expertly seducing her. Lucius had walked in and found them almost naked. She blushed when she remembered that she must have looked a wanton bitch in the arms of Severus. She remembered the argument did not always concern her but things of the past. Some of the past came up; it was clear that Lucius blamed Severus for Narcissa and Draco’s deaths. It was also clear that Severus felt that he had done all he could to stop them from being murdered.

She knew that she was caught in the middle. It was clear that these two very powerful men wanted her equally as much. She tried to shift her body around in his arms. He looked more wonderful asleep than awake. His eyelashes were long and pretty. He looked content and happy as the sun shone on his long golden locks. How did I get here?

He mumbled something and his hold of her became ever more secure. He smiled and his grip on her became more possessive. Hermione looked down briefly and was relieved to find out that both were fully clothed. She smiled at that. He didn’t take advantage of her, which endeared him to her more so than before. He moved his head and Hermione’s skin tingled with the slight gentle touch of his eyelashes.

Hermione wanted to stay in his arms forever. She felt safe and loved in his embrace. She looked down at them and sighed at the rounded muscles and she began to trace the alabaster skin with her fingernail. She really wished he wake up. But she knew that he’d probably yell at her or something. She nestled her head into his chest. His chin was resting on top of her head and she smirked a little at the fact that he was touching her. His hands began to wander around her body, and she smiled. He sighed and she heard his nose inhaling her scent. His eyelashes fluttered on her neck; she knew from this that he was waking up.

“Hello,” he sighed.

“Good Morning,” she said.

“You’re beautiful, Hermione,” he said to her in a deep growl.

“Thank you,” Hermione said. “But I thought that -!”

“That if I walked in on you and Severus I would never want to see you again? Quite the contrary.”

“What do you mean?” Hermione asked.

Lucius laid her on her back and he looked down into her face. His smile was dark and mischievous. He was playing with her breast with his thumb and forefinger. He smiled down at her.

“It made me realise that perhaps I can’t expect you to hold off forever,” he said. “You are the most beautiful woman in the world. I can’t expect other men not to look at you. And Severus is actually one of those rare men that understands women. I know that if I am not careful I could lose my only chance of happiness.”

“So, does that mean that you’ll have sex with me?” Hermione asked in a small vulnerable voice.

Lucius leant down and captured her lips with his. She moaned and wrapped her arms around his neck opening her mouth and he slipped his tongue inside her mouth. He shifted his body on top of hers and his hands wandered down her sides and lifted the skirt of her nightdress.

“Yes, Hermione, but I have a new condition to override the first one,” he said.

“I want to override you,” Hermione giggled playfully.

“Be serious,” Lucius said.

“I am serious,” Hermione said.

Lucius sighed and shook his head. “If I do have sex with you then please don’t have sex with any other man. I don’t want to share you. I want to give all of myself to you.”

Hermione sighed. “Lucius.”

“What?”

“Shut up and kiss me!”

Lucius grinned and leant down to kiss her hungrily and passionately. He smiled against her lips. There was a tapping on the bedroom window. Hermione was about raise her legs up his waist, but the tapping became persistent and rather annoying. Lucius felt the beginnings of his erection drop.

“I have to get that,” he growled.

“I expected this in the Muggle world not in the Wizarding World,” she moaned. She pouted. Lucius looked at the frustrated woman and smirked. She was a treasure indeed. He opened the window and a raven flew into the room. The raven looked at Hermione with its eyes glinting at the woman in the bed. The raven arcked at Hermione; and Lucius frowned at his young Witch.

“Why is the raven looking at you?” he asked her.

“Just because your super gorgeous doesn’t mean all the birds have to look at you,” Hermione replied.

“That’s fast wit,” he said.

The raven sighed, Lucius turned his back to close the window and Hermione screamed, Lucius turned around quickly ready to comfort her. She was pale and she was pointing a very shaky finger at something. She was looking very frightened. He followed her finger and standing in his room was a very tall, elegant lady with long flowing raven hair with pale skin and blue eyes. She was wearing heavy velvet robes of emerald green and autumn red. She was the most elegant woman he had ever laid eyes on.

“Hello,” he said.

“Hello Good Sir,” she replied in a steady voice. Hermione’s legs were trembling beneath her. She found herself speechless in front of such beauty. “It is thy maiden wife that I seek.”

“Wife?” Lucius asked. “She is not my wife.”

“Then why doth she share thy marriage bed?”

Hermione looked at Lucius raising her eyebrows. “It is the custom now.”

“It is of no moment, Hermione, I need thee for there is a special task for thee.”

“What is that?” Hermione asked.

“Dost thou know who thou art?”

“Hermione Granger,” she replied.

The Lady laughed it was deep and rich; the sound came from her stomach. She walked up to the bed and looked at Lucius and sighed. “Search thy mind, Hermione. Thou’st know who I am. Why art thou confused, dear Heart? I am sure thou doth understand the reasoning for my presence in thy chamber.”

Hermione thought about it for a second and then her jaw dropped. “I can’t be!”

“Why not?”

“I’m a Muggleborn!”

“No that thou art not,” she said. “Please, there is an urgent Meet. My Comrades are collecting their heirs and thou art to be amongst their number.”

“I’m in the House of Gryffindor,” Hermione said.

“I cannot see any fault with that, he was my friend. He is there too at the Meet with his heir. Also, I have a confession to make.”

“What is that?” Hermione asked.

“I wanted thou to be a Gryffindor for thy own protection,” she said. “Godric tried to convince me but I could not let you in my house lest some disaster befall thee. I see that thou hast indeed flourished in Gryffindor.”

Hermione blushed. Lucius furrowed his brow as the two women were conversing.

“WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON?” he bellowed.

“That is not seemly language for a man of thy nobility,” the Lady reprimanded.

“Sorry, but really, what is going on?”

“I am Rowena Ravenclaw, and ‘tis mine heir I have come to seek,” she said not paying him any attention. “Hermione, thou must get dressed appropriately. I trust thou hast robes?”

Hermione nodded. “I have.”

“Then hence away to thy Chamber and dress,” Rowena said. “Thy companions: Godric, Salazar and Helga, awaits thee.”

Hermione scrambled out of bed and walked to her bedroom. Lucius looked at Hermione and then at the strange woman in his bedroom.

“Salazar is here?” Lucius asked.

“No,” Rowena replied. “My friend is at the Meet. Under what banner dost thou serve?”

“I am a Slytherin,” Lucius replied.

“No wonder thy betrothed cannot wait to share thy bed,” Rowena said rather bluntly looking at his rising morning erection. Lucius blushed and covered himself up. “Nothing that thou should’st be afraid of. Thy manhood i’st indeed something to boast about in Halls.”

“Actually, we’re not betrothed either,” he answered.

“Thou art going to treat my heir like a common wench?” Rowena asked indignantly.

Lucius gulped. “No, I barely know her I want to get to know her properly before I make her my bride.”

Rowena stared coldly at Lucius. Her lips thinned. “Thou seemest to know her well enough to make a Wench out of her. If thou knowest her well enough to seek her companionship at night in thy bed then thou should’st marry her.”

“But I haven’t,” Lucius said. He was becoming decidedly hot under the collar. This is worse than meeting the mother!

“Then why was she in thy bed?” Rowena asked.

“She had nightmares last night,” Lucius answered. “I wanted to protect her.”

Rowena was about to reply back but Hermione entered the room and smiled. Rowena turned to her heir and clapped her hands together.

“A delight to the eyes thou certainly art,” Rowena said. She walked up to Hermione and took her hand. “Now,” she said. “Let us fly.”

“But I can’t change into a bird!”

“Nonsense,” Rowena said. “As easily as Slytherin’s heir can talk to Snakes, so thou canst change thy form.”

Hermione’s heart began to flutter in her chest. She had no occasion to fly before. Rowena led her to the window and Lucius opened the window; Rowena shimmered back into the form of the raven, the folds of her robes integrated into the image transforming into wings and feathers with the gentle May breeze fluttering them aside. Hermione gulped. She stepped up to the ledge and almost fainted at the height. Lucius nodded at her, encouraging her to change her form. Hermione closed her eyes and thought about the raven. Into a raven she did not change; but the form she took was that of a Golden Eagle. Lucius blinked back his surprise; that is why the Golden Eagle adopted her, it was her form.

She hopped to the ledge and soared into the sky. Lucius watched the two birds fly together and closed the window; he sank down on the nearest chair. He could not believe what he had heard and found out today. He was lusting after Ravenclaw’s heir? He found his head was pulsating.

Gloop entered the room and he bowed. “Master, parcels have arrived.”

Gloop set a small box on the floor and resized it. Lucius opened the box and smiled. It was the dress he had ordered for Hermione. He fingered the fabric and sighed. He could not wait to dance with her this evening. Draco had said she was a good dancer; but then Draco would have said anything good about the woman he loved. Lucius folded the dress back into the box and nodded. Gloop set another box down and they were the shoes, and finally the jewellery. He held each item in his hand but held back the ring. Rowena was right. He was ready to make her his wife; besides just making love to her wouldn’t keep a Wizard away from her; something tangible; like an engagement ring would speak to any Wizard that she was spoken for.

He would have to apologise to Narcissa though. He strode out of the room and saw Narcissa was awake.

“Narcissa,” he said. “I want to propose to Hermione.”

“What took you so long?” Narcissa asked.

“I’ve only known her a week,” Lucius said.

“No you haven’t,” Narcissa said. “Draco talked about her incessantly for years. If you spent any time listening you would have gleaned some knowledge of her.”

“I was listening, but I was happily married then,” Lucius said. “Besides, it was Draco that wanted to marry her.”

Narcissa smiled in her portrait. “I wish you all the joy and happiness in the world my darling.”

Lucius sighed and stroked his wife’s face. “I’m sorry for losing you though.”

“I know but you have to live, and you will be alive with her as your wife,” Narcissa replied.

Lucius smiled and walked back into his bedroom. He was truly the luckiest man in the World.

Snape was listening to the conversation with a deep scowl on his face. He wanted Hermione and if Lucius asked her to marry him and she said yes then he would never be able to touch her. He would have to intercept her and ask her the same question, somehow.

~*~*~

Hermione landed in some glade in some wood. She gasped as she recognised the Forest of Dean. She smiled a little. She had transformed into a human and blinked as she looked at the place of the Meet. There was a blonde pigtailed woman with Hannah Abbott, and a heavily armoured man with Harry (who looked utterly bewildered) and there was a monkey-faced man with Voldemort (who looked decidedly grumpy). Hermione was nervous when she realised she was standing next to him. Rowena shimmered into her form.

“A Golden Eagle?” Rowena asked. “I canst not believe that thou art the greatest of the birds in the sky.”

Hermione blushed and curtseyed. The monkey faced man smirked a little when he noticed Hermione. He made his way to Hermione when a cough stopped him.

“What?” he asked.

“Never mind, Salazar,” the armoured man said.

“He spoils all the fun!” Salazar said to her. “I am Salazar Slytherin and what is thy name fair and beauteous maiden?”

“I am Hermione Granger, my Lord,” Hermione said curtseying deeply to him.

“Art thou engaged?”

“She is,” Rowena said. “To a tall man of hair as fair as ripened wheat and eyes as blue as the ocean and just as deep.”

Hermione creased her brow. She was about to retort when Rowena turned around and her eyes became icy in their atmosphere.

“I am Helga,” the blonde woman said to Hermione.

“And, my Lady, I am Godric Gryffindor.”

Hermione curtseyed to each of them. Harry still looked bewildered. “Excuse me, Sir Godric, but what are we doing here?”

“This is a Meet. Someone has torn the fabric of our society. When that happened we came from the past to sort it out.”

“In what way?” Hannah asked.

“Why, my dear, Hogwarts has been ripped to shreds. Without Hogwarts the Wizarding World will fall into a slow and steady decline. This Meet is to salvage what we can and try to repair that damage.”

“And to knock some sense in some of you,” Salazar said glaring at his heir.

“I told you, I was dedicating myself to ridding the World of Mudbloods for you!” Voldemort exclaimed piously.

“Oh, and you seemed to forget the first and foremost thing that was important to me; the sanction of family and the fact that you have not married and carried on my line? Listen to me you nincompoop; you marry, have a son, and then go out and try to conquer the world! You got your priorities all wrong. Gods, I can’t believe my line has come to this!” Slytherin said rolling his eyes skyward. “Why couldn’t I have had him as an heir? At least he understands the fact that he has to marry and have children!” He gestured over to Harry. Harry groaned. “Or her, at least she’s pretty!” he waved his hand to Hannah who blushed and looked down on the ground. “Or her, a woman who looks like she comes from ancient blood, but this? I can’t believe it. What did I do wrong?”

Godric laughed. “It doesn’t matter, for now, Salazar. I am sure there must be a Witch somewhere fertile and willing.”

“I don’t -!”

“What you want and what you get, young man, are two different things, stop acting like a spoilt child and do as you’re told!” Salazar snapped at Voldemort. Harry turned to look at Hermione trying not to laugh. Hermione shook her head. Once Salazar wasn’t looking she was sure that would be when Voldemort would strike. It would still be wise for them to act like he is a fearsome Dark Lord for the time being. “Tell me,” he said turning to Hermione. “This man that you are betrothed to, art thou deeply in love with him? T’would be a fine thing indeed for my heir and my good friends heir to be united.”

“Sorry,” Hermione said allowing a small smile to creep along her lips. “But I do care for my Lord greatly.”

“Damn!” Salazar said.

“Not in front of the ladies, Salazar,” Godric said.

“Okay,” Hermione sighed. “So, what do you propose we do to set our world to rights?”

“Firstly, I am going to get this scamp who calls himself Lord Voldemort to marry someone or he gets cut off. Secondly the same young scamp will tell everyone the truth about himself, and thirdly he will also stop this silly thing he has against Muggleborns and realise that I was a very foolish and very spurned Wizard at the time. I didn’t mean what I said in anger; hardly anyone does!”

“I can’t have children!” Lord Voldemort said shamefully.

Harry’s shoulders were shaking with silent laughter. Salazar sighed.

“Then you’re no good to me,” Salazar said. “I need someone who can bear seed.”

Voldemort opened his mouth. “You can’t cut me off!”

“Should have thought about that before you made them ruddy Horcruxes.”

“Ladies are present, Salazar!”

“I know there are ladies present, Godric, why do you think I’m keeping it mild.”

Godric shook his head and he smiled. His green eyes sparkled with mirth at his dear old friend.

“I didn’t know they were going to make me impotent,” he moaned.

“Well,” Salazar sighed. “It seems I have to find myself a new heir. Do the three of you know anyone?”

Hannah shook her head. Harry could think of a few but was a little afraid to speak out. Hermione wanted to say his name but did not want her bias to speak out. She smiled though as she thought of him.

“You, my Lady Hermione, you know someone,” Salazar said.

“Tis my betrothed,” Hermione said. “Lucius Malfoy is his name.”

Salazar smirked. He clicked his fingers and a very startled half naked Lucius appeared in the glade.

“Hello. I am Salazar Slytherin,”

“Lucius Malfoy,” he replied trying to cover himself up. Hannah leant over and grabbed Hermione’s hand and pulled her closer to her side.

“You’re engaged to that?”

Hermione looked over at Lucius and sighed. “Yes,” she whispered. It wasn’t lying, she thought. If Salazar and Rowena had their way I’d be married to him by teatime.

“Lucius, due to the fact that my last blood heir is a complete and utter nitwit and impotent to boot, I have decided to seek out a new heir using principles and guidelines instead of blood. I need someone to help carry out the name. Art thou well versed in Slytherin lore?”

“My Lord, my family hath served thy banner for generation upon generation,” Lucius replied on bended knee. If he was surprised at any of this he didn’t show it on his features.

“Then arise, Lord Lucius Malfoy-Slytherin as thou art to be called from this moment on. Thy bloodline is chosen to carry on my name. My Lady Hermione, do step forward.”

Hermione walked up to Salazar and accepted his hand. “This is to be thy bride. The heirs then shall not be confused, and thou shalt have at least two children. One to speak to Snakes and one to be a bird in the sky, but both shalt honour thee.”

Then Voldemort screamed hysterically and a bright incandescent light escaped him; he was sobbing on the floor as the bloodline transferred from him to Lucius who was encased in its brilliance looking more god like than ever before. Then the light was gone and Lucius was blinking. He shook his head and looked into Hermione’s concerned eyes.

“Are you all right?” Hermione asked. She steadied him with one hand on his back and the other on his stomach.

“I am fine,” Lucius said. “Although, I feel a little strange.”

“You can’t do that!” Voldemort exclaimed. “It isn’t fair!”

“I can do what I bloody well like,” Salazar said. “And if you say ‘Ladies present’, one more time, Gryffindor, I’ll clobber you!”

Godric shrugged his shoulders. They were about to talk some more when Hannah said something.

“I feel a little left out,” she said. “What is there for me to do?”

Salazar sighed and walked up to the young unsure woman. “You do your best, and,” he tilted her chin up, “keep up the good work. Hufflepuff is known to be there for advice. It was she who suggested the hat to sort people into houses. Godric supplied the hat. I enchanted it to speak, and Rowena gave it brains to think up of poetry. If there is something to be straightened out, that is your job.”

Hannah nodded. “I thank you, My Lord,” Hannah said curtseying awkwardly.

“It seemeth that these young people are more sensible than us,” Godric said. “Let us leave them to their debates!”

Voldemort grinned wickedly at the group. Salazar shook his head and sent a spell his way. “That should disorientate him.”

“You and your travelling spells, Salazar,” Helga said. “Goodbye, dear.” She said squeezing Hannah’s shoulders. “I hope that you do me proud!”

“I shall try,” Hannah said.

“Goodbye, my son,” Godric said tilting Harry’s chin up. “I am so pleased that thou hast mine eyes. Remember to check on how we’re related like I told thee.”

“I will, Sir Godric, if not my friend Hermione will make sure I will,” he said smiling at Hermione.

“Meeting you, my sweet, shall indeed be my most treasured memory,” Rowena said to Hermione. “Sorry for the confusion I hath caused to thee.”

“It is of no moment,” Hermione said. Rowena hugged Hermione fiercely and she kissed the top of her head. She then patted Lucius on the arm and walked away.

“You will do as you’re told I trust,” Salazar said to Lucius, “and you can bear child?”

“I hath a son that was ripped from me,” Lucius said.

“Then have more so as not to make a mockery of his memory,” Salazar said. Lucius nodded. Salazar turned to Hermione. “You know, my Lady, if thou dost get lonesome in the night you can always wish for me three times.”

Hermione giggled. “If I were but a maid in thy time and dimension then maybe thou wouldst indeed have been a consort to me.”

Salazar sighed. “Damn!” he said again.

The four people shimmered into various forms. Salazar into a snake; Godric into a lion; Rowena into her raven; and Helga into her badger, they scampered, slithered and flew off into various other parts of the wood.

“Well,” Lucius breathed, “I’m Slytherin’s heir now!”

“Oh, Lucius!” Hermione exclaimed wrapping her arms around his waist. “It’s an honour to be chosen.”

“Hmm, did you have something to do with that?” Lucius asked. Hermione blushed. “Never mind.”

“Wow,” Hannah breathed. “Can you believe this Harry and Hermione? We’re related to the greatest Wizards and Witches of all time!”

“He stopped me kissing Ginny!” Harry grumbled. “And then he had the nerve to flirt with her!”

Hermione rolled her eyes. Hannah turned slightly nervously to Lucius Malfoy-Slytherin.

“Are you Draco’s father?” she asked.

“I was,” Lucius said. “Until my sister-in-law saw fit to expunge him from my life.”

Hannah’s hazel eyes widened in shock, and she walked up to him. “Is Hermione making you happy?”

“Hannah?” Hermione asked.

“Sorry,” Hannah answered, “but he’s hot.”

“What are we going to do?” Harry asked. “We have to talk about Hogwarts.”

“That is something to discuss elsewhere, Potter, and my Mansion has a vast library. It would be wise to take this conversation indoors. At least,” he said looking down to see his robes flying apart and revealing his manhood. “It would for me.”

Hermione giggled and held him to her. He held out his hand to Hannah and she accepted. He then looked at Potter.

“I’ll go back to the Burrow and can I bring Ginny?”

“Of course,” Lucius murmured, “you know where I live?”

Harry nodded. Lucius smiled and he held Hermione in one arm and Hannah in the other and apparated to his Mansion. Harry was left on his own. He needed to clear his head. Now why couldn’t that rumour have been spread about me? He thought as he turned on his heel to apparate back to the Burrow. Why can’t I have a normal life?

A/N – Indeed, why can’t Harry have a normal life? What is Voldemort going to do now his heritage has been stripped from him? How is Harry connected to Godric? And, will Lucius and Hermione get some already!!!

Some of you are probably wondering why I chose Hannah as Hufflepuff’s heir? Well, the House ghost is a monk, and Hannah’s surname is Abbott, where Monks lived and worshipped. So, I had to really. Also, one of the very few girls who liked me at School was called Hannah.
