Summary: Severus has been captured by Aurors for the murder
of Dumbledore and the rape of Hermione. He requests something unusual and the
lives of everyone will never be the same.

Chapter 10: The Hunt For Ron

            Minerva
called a meeting of the Order of the Phoenix
concerning ‘the Ron problem’ as she liked to call it.

   “We need to hunt
him down,” Remus said. “He violated the law and caused a man to almost go to
Azkaban.”

   “I understand, but
as long as he’s out there he can’t go to Azkaban.”

Several people muttered darkly at this.

   “Minerva, I think
that we need to focus on getting Hufflepuff’s cup,” Severus said. “Once we get
that then we can work on the rest.”

   “I agree with
Severus,” Moody said. “We need to get that cup and Ron.”

Minerva held her hand up for silence and then spoke.

   “What do you think
we should do to get him right where we want him?” Minerva asked the others.

There was silence and then Tonks spoke up.

   “How about a
contest,” Tonks suggested. “A prize of a lot of galleons. Ron still wants money
and this will bring him out of the woodwork.”

Everyone, but Severus, nodded, liking the idea.

   “How about
something far simpler,” Severus suggested. “How about word that Hermione found
out that Ron was the cause of her problems. We tell him that Hermione is going
to the Ministry and he’ll come around and try and stop him. That will get him
right where we want him.”

Minerva thought this over.

   “Sounds like a good
idea to me,” Remus said. “But, how do we duplicate Hermione’s writing, that’s
what I want to know.”

Severus grinned.

   “Leave it to me,”
he said. “I’m not a Slytherin for nothing.”

            When the
meeting ended Severus went to his office and got the letter ready. He had seen
Hermione’s writing enough to know how she wrote. He pulled out a sheet of
parchment and then enchanted the quill to write in her writing.

Ron,

I’m going to the Ministry to report what you did. McGonagall
and Snape had broken through the Memory Charm and now I remember everything. I
hope you enjoy Azkaban.

            He then
folded the letter and giving it to the owl, it flew away. Now all he had to do
was wait until Ron showed up at the Ministry and then he would be all there’s.
He smiled and then returned to the school. It was time to get Hufflepuff’s cup.
