Chapter 11
Correspondence
Hermione went back to cleaning with a vengeance. She had a renewed feeling after her encounter with Lucius Malfoy. She finished with the whole room after just a couple of hours, working her fingers to the bone. The act of cleaning without magic kept her mind free of any untoward thoughts that might have strayed into her head.
After finishing the cleaning of the dungeon, she called the house elves to come get the cleaning supplies and headed back to her room to shower the grime off her and think of what she wanted to write in her letter to Harry.
She quickly showered and dressed in a crisp uniform, which her wardrobe seemed to have never-ending supplies of. She seated herself at her little table with her quill and parchment in front of her. She had to decide carefully what to write to Harry and everybody, knowing that the wrong thing would set the young men who were her best friends off like fireworks, probably causing them to burst into Malfoy Manor with wands blazing. That would be so unwise of them but she knew that if they even had a feeling that she was being abused in any way they would undoubtedly strike back.
Plus, if she really thought about it, she wasn't being abused at all. At least not in any way that she wasn't enjoying completely. Actually she was looking forward to her next meeting with Draco to see if he would feel the need to punish her again. That was something that wouldn't be in the letter.

Dear Harry, Ron & Everyone,
How is everyone doing? Hopefully this letter finds you all well. I may as well start at the beginning by telling you that, to my great surprise, the Malfoys are not being too awful to me. I read through my contract and came upon the facts that I am able to send and receive two owls per week and make one floo call per week.
They have me cleaning the dungeons without magic. The only worrying part of the situation was that they took my wand away, but as of yet they haven't abused that situation. I thought I would be threatened here but that isn’t the case. While I’m not welcomed with open arms, I rarely have to interact with them.
Has anybody gotten through to the Ministry about this ridiculous law so I can leave this place and continue with my life? Is anybody doing anything or is this atrocity just being accepted?
I will write again as soon as I find out what day I will be able to floo you so hopefully you can all be there. I only get ten minutes but I want to say hello to everyone. Please let everyone know that I am doing fine and hope to be back with them soon.
Yours truly,
Hermione Granger

She read over her letter making sure her overzealous best friends could misconstrue nothing. It seemed to be fine, she hoped. She looked at her watch, noting that it was nearly time for dinner. She supposed that Harkey would be serving her again. She really did like that house elf. If she was being honest with herself, she didn’t mind being at Malfoy Manor much at all, besides the dreariness of her room, which she was getting used to.
She got up and went over to where the elves had put the meager books she had brought with her. She managed to sneak in a couple of her tomes with her. She picked up a book she had brought to continue her studies in Spells and began to read. She knew that she had a job waiting for her at Hogwarts when she got out of her current predicament. Albus had already offered it to her right after she finished University, with her major in Spells and a minor in Potions.
Hermione had been reading for at least an hour when she heard a tiny knock on her bedroom door. She put her book back in the shelf, not knowing if she was allowed to have it, and not wanting it to get confiscated.
“Come in” she said.
Harkey walked in carrying a tray of delectable looking food and bowed lowly.
“Good evenings Miss.” Harkey said.
“Hello Harkey” she replied.
The elf sat Hermione’s dinner tray down on the table in front of her.
“Thank you” she said kindly.
“You is welcome Miss. If there is anythings else you needs Miss just lets me know.”
“Harkey, are the Masters home?”
“Yes Miss, they is having dinner in the hall.”
“Ok, thank you again.”
With that the elf bowed again and popped back to the kitchens. Hermione tucked in to eat, realizing that she was quite hungry.

Down in the hall, Lucius and Draco ate while politely speaking of their respective days at the Ministry. Neither one had their mind on the conversation though.
Lucius was thinking about his morning with Hermione. How receptive she was to him, how it felt to watch her in the throes of ecstasy. She was a delight to fuck.
Draco was thinking of when he could get Granger on his own next. His blinding lust had been sated, but he still wanted the witch badly. He wanted to feel his cock buried in her. Maybe he would call her tonight after his father retired for the evening.
As they were finishing their meal, Lucius grabbed at his left forearm as a searing pain shot through it. He was being summoned by the Dark Lord. Damn, he had been hoping to get Hermione alone in his rooms tonight. It didn’t seem that that was going to happen now.
“Father, are you alright?” Draco asked Lucius.
“I must go Draco. The Dark Lord is summoning me.”
With that he abruptly rose from the table to go change into his Deatheater robes and apparated to Voldemort’s side, wondering what the night had in store for him.
Draco was, of course, worried about his father’s safe return, as he did every time he was called to Voldemort. But on the bright side, he was sure to get Granger alone tonight.
