PS.
Sorry bout the delay in the sex... it should be coming up in the next chapter or two. And the glowy ball (for further clarification) only showed them their fears, nothing to do with the future at all.
And now to the story:

Chapter 11: the Dream

Inside Lucius’s dreams: relived memories and thoughts...

As he travelled through the Mabon fires, Lucius reflected upon his emotions. He was deeply sad to have to leave his family and friends to come to England. He was leaving behind a luxurious existence, filled with riches and conveniences unavailable to him at Hogwarts, a veritable boarding school. He would be miserable. Unless... maybe if he found some one to keep him occupied.... Yes! That would work! He would find a casual fuck and keep him mind distracted form his boredom and loneliness.

***

He was in an old classroom, no longer in use, with his current distraction, one Harry Potter. Against his will, the boy had started to grow on him, to the point that whenever he thought of him, Harry’s face brought a smile to his own, the sight of him made butterflies wing through him, and most disconcerting of all, he hoped that Harry felt the same way. It never occurred to him that Harry was becoming something more than a distraction.

But for all this, Draco was not forgotten. The delicate blond was almost always in his thoughts, whenever Harry wasn’t. The same feelings floated through him at just the thought of his friend. Draco’s smile made him feel light and airy, like he was a tad bit tippsy. His eyes were like bottomless pools of liquid mercury, something to drown in. Again, love never entered his thoughts. Until Draco caught another boy in his arms that is.

When Draco ran away, raging and in pain, Lucius felt torn between the two boys. They absolutely hated each other, yet he wanted them both. How was he supposed to deal with that? Draco was hurting, so he left Harry to chase after him, never imagining that this would hurt Harry.

***

After Lucius figured out why the two boys wouldn’t talk to him, he started spending most of his time alone. When this happened, Lucius began his routine of self evaluation. He searched through himself and stumbled onto the idea that he might have to give up one boy over the other. As soon as this dawned on him, he immediately shoved it aside as impossible. He would never betray a loved on like that. ‘Wait a minute. Loved one? Do I love them? Both or only one?’ This accidental discovery led Lucius down a mental path of snares and pitfalls until he was able to come to terms with his emotions.

He had begun his relationships with the intent to get laid. He had then formed tentative friendships with his two conquests. In so short a time, he had learned part of who they were inside and who they were in public. The subtle quirks and conundrums of their personalities entrapping him in his appreciation and enjoyment of them. He was slowly roped in, drawn like a fish on a hook, unable to resist the oh so similar and oh so different flavours of the boys. It was almost too late before he realised his feelings for them.

***

As he sat there on the bed, Lucius hoped that the two boys would believe him. He knew it was improbable for him to fall in love with two people at once, never mind in only five weeks. But it had happened to him, and he was hoping against hope that his loves would put aside their hatred for each other so that they could come together in love. He didn’t think he could live if he had to choose between them. He would rather walk away from them both if he couldn’t have them together. Lucius was an all or nothing kind of person. He would have no emotion, or full blown unconditional love and trust. He would have both of the people he loved or niether.

When Harry and draco began walking towards him, his heart took flight and soared to the heavens, until it plummeted down to his throat to clog it along with his tears of joy. They were willing to set aside their differences, at least for one night.

I hope you know the drill by now, no continuation without appreciation (kinda catchy isn\'t it?)
