Epilogue
From the diary of a most Unusual Squid.
Yes, I know I haven't been writing in my journal much of late. When life is this good, there doesn't seem time to record it all.
Eulathera and I are still blissfully happy. Our last spawning included a daughter with the Magical Spark which has delighted us both. When all the other, unmagical, children are released into the oceans (if we kept them all our Lake would soon be overcrowded) she will remain with us for a while. Hagrid has promised to speak to Olympe Maxime to see if room could be found at Beauxbatons for her to have her own Lake when it is time for her to leave. I'm sure she will learn much in that atmosphere, just as her parents have learned here at Hogwarts.
For now, little Sione is enjoying herself, learning quickly (of course) and swimming most days with young Desdemona and Aidana Snape. For 2 year old humans they are rather good swimmers, although naturally Eula and I watch out for them. Hermione has recently announced that she will be presenting Severus with another pledge of her devotion in the spring. Let us hope that this time things will be a little easier than it was with the twins - at the end there she got so huge I though she would burst! Nature is much kinder for Squids when it comes to babies.
I see Hermione and Severus on their way down to our lake. That must mean that the twins are abed, the house elf watching them to make sure all is well. I'm sure I'll get back to writing this later, but for now Pleasure awaits...
