Chapter 11: Obsession Revealed, Comfy Feelings, and a Dance
Malfoy Manor, Downstairs Office
Lucius Malfoy had an obsession. It was the girl that had escaped him weeks ago. He was still angry that she got away and was even angrier that he had not f her her since. He had tried locator charms, tracking spells and summoning incantations—all of which did not work. He had a lust that was building for her, consuming most of his thoughts. Oh, he still followed his usual habits: following the master’s orders, going on raids, visiting his mistress, checking up on his son—the usual habits. But, still….there was one thing that was really bugging him. He wanted the girl, searching high and low for her with no results. He had to have her and the thought of her was really pushing him to the edge, way past his usual cool.
Just last night, they’d gone out on a raid, doing the usual terrorizing of unsuspecting muggles. And just like the other times, he would see a girl that looked similar to her, but not quite right. The hair the right color but would be the wrong texture, the skin not as smooth, the body not as luscious as hers was, the scent and taste of her would be all wrong—it was always something that wasn’t quite right. Either way, he kept on looking. The woman would satisfy his lust for the moment then, he’d kill her. Night after night, it was the same; the same irritating conclusion was always left to him. He curled his hands in frustration. Soon, I will find her. He thought menacingly. And then we will continue what we started.
Sitting down behind his desk, Lucius exhaled in irritation. He was beyond frustrated, but he couldn’t worry about that now. He needed to contact Severus. He had not seen him for a few weeks and the Dark Lord was going to have another revel soon. The entire inner circle of the Death Eaters was required to be in attendance. Moving over to the small fireplace, he grabbed some floo powder from the snake dish on the mantle, and tossed it into the flames.
“Severus Snape’s rooms.” He called out clearly.
Inside Severus’s rooms, the flames in the fireplace turned green then back to the original orange-gold color. Lucius’s head floated in the crackling flames.
“Severus.” He called. “I need to speak to you.”
Nothing.
“Severus. I know that you’re there. Wake up, my boy.”
He called louder this time. “Severus, I need to speak to you.”
This time a door closed and Lucius could see his friend approaching the fireplace. He looked like he just got out of bed, wearing a black robe over his pale skin. He watched as he sat down in the chair before the fireplace.
“It’s about damn time, Severus. I was just about to come over there.” Severus smirked.
“And it is always a pleasure to see you as well.” He said silkily. “Now, what is it that you want? I was trying to sleep in for once. It is after all a Sunday.”
Lucius laughed. “I wanted to speak to you about the Dark revel coming up next weekend. The master expects the entire inner circle to be there. You will be there of course? Good. It is at the usual place on Thursday night. I’m sure that you can get out of classes the next day?”
“That will not be a problem. Dumbledore has decided to give the students Friday off due to a silly costume ball that evening. I trust that I will be able to return in time? I do not want to look suspicious to the old man.” Lucius nodded.
“Yes, now there is something else that I want to talk to you about. I am having a little problem.” He frowned then, sighed in irritation.
“What kind of problem? Nothing too serious I hope.” Severus said smoothly.
“It is not serious, but it is not something that I can take my mind off of easily. You see, some weeks ago, I was ordered by the master to retrieve something for him. I was fine until he showed me what it was. It was a woman—probably the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. She had this smooth skin and these pouty lips that were just—anyway, I had to have her. When we went to get her, I was shocked beyond belief. I saw her naked, bathing in her bathroom. Her skin was glistening and I just wanted to lick her all over.” He sighed wistfully. “I only got to have her once. But, it was good. She was a virgin—that made it even better.”
Severus’s hands clenched inside his the folds of his robe. He was very glad that he didn’t have his wand because he would have hexed Lucius until he was nothing but a pile of ash. He listened as the man talked on and on about Zeporiap, listing all of the disgusting things that he wanted to do to her, everything that he wanted her to do to him. He talked about how he searched everywhere for her, looking high and low for the object of his desire; his obsession. The man was talking about his soul mate in a most disgusting and degrading fashion—it was making Severus very angry.
He was so very glad that he didn’t have his wand.
“Anyway, I have not been able to find her.” He smiled. “But, I know that I am going to find her soon. She may be in hiding somewhere, but I will find her…and then… we can continue what we started.” He smiled evilly now, licking his lips in anticipation.
Not if I can help it, old boy. Severus thought. He had an evil smile of his own on his face. He yawned to cover it up.
“Well, Lucius since I possibly won’t be getting back to sleep, I will start on another batch of the potion that the master requires. I will bring that with me to the revel.”
“Good, good. The master said that he was running low and was going to request more in a few days.” He looked over his shoulder, showing Severus an odd view of the back of his head. “I must go now because my wife is requesting entrance to my office. I will see you on Thursday.” He nodded, his head disappearing with a pop.
Severus sat back in his chair, curling and uncurling his fists. He would get Malfoy even if it was the last thing he did. Standing, he took a few calming breaths, inhaling and exhaling deeply. He relaxed back into a calm state as he pushed the rage farther and farther away. It completely subsided when he stepped into his bedroom. He stood there, watching as Zeporiap slept, curled up on her side, wrapped up in his bed sheets. She looked so—he did not know the words for what he saw when he looked at her. He could only say that he liked how she looked, lying there snuggled in his bed and getting her scent all over the place. Mmm…
We’re definitely going to have to wait to continue what we were so rudely interrupted from. His dark side pouted. If your friend hadn’t of shown up we could’ve been getting fucked right about now. Now, the voice complained. Severus could not help but smile at that. It was true. If Lucius had not of shown up, things would have definitely been much more pleasurable.
Severus headed for his bathroom, intending on taking a shower—a very cold shower.
Over the next few days, Severus and Zeporiap learned more about each other. She told him about her experiences of going through school speaking two languages and how that effected her education. He told her about what it was like to grow up in a magical household, living day in and day out with magic all around. He also told her about his family history, speaking on the general ideals of the pureblood families and how society in the wizarding world was set up. Zeporiap told him that there were similar levels in the muggle world between the rich, middle, and poor classes—there were even further sickening ideals about the color of one’s skin, and not their blood, and how that effected the outcome of one’s life.
Severus also revealed about his duplicity as a spy and all of what it entailed. Zeporiap cried because she was worried about the danger he was facing. Severus assured her that he was fine. Both revealed their like of 80’s rock music, discussing their feelings about their favorite groups and songs. Zeporiap giggled when they began arguing over which Metallica album was better: Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning. She laughed when Severus frowned because she wouldn’t show him her hidden talent—he relented when she agreed to show him later. All in all, they had a good time getting to know each other, becoming more and more comfortable with each other.
Soon, it was time for Severus to go to the Dark revel. Zeporiap had been nervous about it all day, worried over him, but trying not to show it. Severus could see it and tried not to let her know that he could. Putting the last of the potion in a small vial, Severus placed the top on the glass container. He checked the color of the liquid noting the dark purple color—it was exactly how it should be. Nothing would be noticed at all and would not be detected by charms or otherwise. It would give the recipient the feeling of being stronger, when in fact it was weakening them. If enough of it was taken, the person would be left with a minimal amount of health—although they would never know it, going on as before. It was perfect.
When he stepped back into his private rooms, Zeporiap was waiting for him. She sat nervously wringing her hands as he prepared himself for the outing. He donned his cloak and held his mask in his hand.
“Please be safe.” Zeporiap said quietly as she approached him. She wrapped her arms around his waist, laying her head on his chest. She listened to his heart beat, trying to assure herself that he was fine and would be fine.
He sighed, running his gloved hands over her hair. “I will be fine. I will return tomorrow afternoon.”
Zeporiap was sad, but agreed. “You had better return. If you don’t, you won’t get to see what my hidden talent is.”
“Well, in that case I will try to come back early. I’ve got to see what this talent is—my curiosity is getting the better of me.” He stepped back, moving away from her a little ways.
“I will be back. Now, stand still I want to remember you just the way you are.” He looked at her for a moment, studying her face, her hair and her body. He made a mental image of how she looked, storing it away in his mind far beyond where the Dark Lord could reach.
Then he disappeared from her sight, fading before her eyes.
Zeporiap sat down and cried.
On Friday afternoon, the girls sat in Hermione’s room. They were giggling and laughing as they talked about general girl stuff. Sometimes later, the excited trio pulled out their costumes. They arranged them out on the bed then stood back to admire the glittering outfits.
“Do you think that he will like it?” Ginny asked. She had picked out a fairy costume. It was fairly short, the skirt stopping about the mid-thigh area. It was white, but had flashes of pastel blues, purples, greens, and pinks. The bodice of the outfit was a halter fitting, going up and around the shoulders with diamond studded straps. The outfit was completed with a small crown of sparkling flowers that would be braided through her red hair—a small pair of wings would adorn her back. Light sandals of a similar material of the skirt would cover her feet.
“Well, I certainly like it, Ginny.” Hermoine said, smiling. “I think that Harry will be surprised—you never wear anything so form fitting. I dare say that he’ll be gobsmacked when you come down the stairs.” Hermoine laughed. “I just hope that Ron likes mine.”
Hermoine’s outfit was completely different from the one that Ginny had picked out. She had purchased a form-fitting black dress. It had ¾ length sleeves and a scoop-neck collar—perfect for showing off a little bit of cleavage. The back of the dress went down in a deep- V stopping just above the small of her back. The skirt had a high split up the front, starting at the ankle and stopping high up on the inside of her thigh. High-heel stiletto boots complimented the outfit. But, Hermoine was taking it a step further. Earlier she had charmed her teeth to make her canines sharp and pointed. Then she used another charm to make her usually golden brown skin a ghastly pale shade, a striking contrast against her dark brown hair.
Zeporiap laughed. “If I know Ron, he will definitely like your costume, ‘Moine. In fact, I think that he’ll be fighting with the others to keep you away from them.” She patted her on the shoulder. “It will be something to see.”
Ginny and Hermoine turned to look at Zeporiap. “What about you? I know you’ve got your costume for something or someone in mind.” Hermoine giggled then, smiled slyly. She nudged Ginny, waggling her eyebrows. Ginny laughed as well.
“Yeah Zeporiap, I know you’ve definitely got something in mind with that. Are you sure that you want to go downstairs with that on? I think a fight is going to break out when you get in there.” Ginny said slyly. Zeporiap ducked her head and blushed.
“Oh come on, nothing like that is going appeappen. I’m sure that some of the other girls will have on something better than mine.” She sighed. “Besides, it’s not like this costume is for anybody in particular. It’s for the ball!” She looked at the clock gracing Hermoine’s wall. “¡Ai Dios Mio! It’s time to get ready!” She rushed off to the bathroom for a quick shower. “I’ll be right out!” She slammed the door.
Hermoine and Ginny fell on the bed laughing. Zeporiap definitely had it bad for somebody because she wouldn’t have made such an effort with her costume. They knew that nobody would have anything even close to what she was going to be wearing.
“There is definitely going to be a fight breaking out when she gets there.” Ginny said. “Zeporiap really doesn’t know how attractive she is. It’s almost like she’s totally unaware—oblivious.” Hermoine nodded in agreement.
“I know what you mean. She was walking around in the library the other day putting books back like she usually does; there was a gang of boys looking at her every time that she walked by. You should have seen the heads that turned when she knelt down to pick up a book that had fallen. I swear I could feel the air off of all those heads whipping around to catch the action.” She shook her head amazed. “Still, I wonder who she got that costume for…” she fadff aff as the door to the bathroom opened.
Zeporiap came out wrapped in a towel, her hair dripping wet. She rushed over to the bed. “I just need my costume and then I’ll be right out again.” She grabbed the costume and hurried back into the bathroom.
Ginny laughed. “That was close—she almost heard you!” Having already taken a shower earlier, Ginny began to get dressed. She pulled on her skirt, smoothing the material down over her legs. Then she quickly flipped the top on, leaving the wings off for later. Hermoine laughed, fanning her face at almost being caught talking about their gorgeous friend.
“Yeah, that was very close. I thought for sure that she would have heard us! Lucky for us she didn’t.” The door to the bathroom opened again and Zeporiap stepped out. The two girls almost fell out in shock. Zeporiap was gorgeous and she didn’t even know it!
“What do you think?” She said turning around in a circle. “Is it alright? If it’s too much, I’m going to put something over it.”
\"Wow!” Ginny gasped. “That looks amazing!”
“I’m in awe of you! Wow is right!” Hermoine said, nearly speechless. “I think you should just go as you are—you look great!”
“You think so? Wow, I hope that it looks alright. I hope that he—I hope that everybody likes it.”
“What was that Zeporiap?” Ginny leaned forward. “Did you say you were hoping that ‘he likes it’?” She smiled as Zeporiap blushed again. “Alright who is it? Come on you can tell us!”
“Yeah, you can tell us! Nobody else needs to know!” Hermoine smiled big time, a huge grin settling over her face. “Come on… you can tell us. We promise that we won’t say anything.”
Zeporiap sighed. “Oh, alright. But you better promise not to tell or say anything. Okay it’s—”
A knock sounded at the door. “Hermoine? Are you girls ready? The guys are already downstairs waiting.” It was Lavender yelling through the door.
Ginny rushed forward to answer the door, while Hermoine dashed into the bathroom for a quick shower. “We’ll be right out. Hermoine is just getting ready right now. Tell the guys to wait ten more minutes and then we’ll be down.”
“Alright, I’ll go tell them. Seamus wanted to leave early, to get a good spot at one of the tables. I’ll see you girls there!” Her footsteps quickly sounded going down the stairs.
Just then Hermoine came out of the bathroom. She had done her eyes up with a smoky look following Zeporiap’s directions. Cherry red gloss colored her lips. “Well, I’m ready. Ginny? You ready? Are you ready Zeporiap?”
“I’m almost ready. I’ve just got to finish with my make up. I’ll meet you girls there. I’ll only be about two minutes late.” She said.
“Are you sure?” Hermoine said. “I hope you’re not trying to make a fabulous entrance.”
Zeporiap laughed, almost messing up as she was drawing her eyeliner on. “I’m sure. I’ll be right there. You guys just go ahead.” She made a shooing motion with her hand then, turned back to the mirror. She smiled through the mirror at Hermoine.
“Well, okay. We’ll see you there. Just don’t take too long or we’ll start to worry.” Hermoine said as Ginny pushed her towards the door. “I guess some of us are more impatient than others.” Ginny laughed, but kept on shoving Hermoine towards the door.
“Hey hold on, these shoes are tough to walk in!” Hermoine’s voice echoed. Ginny’s laugh echoed into the room.
“You should have worn boots with a thicker heel!”
Zeporiap sighed as she finished applying her cosmetics. She needed a moment to calm her nerves before going downstairs. I know that he’s coming back tonight. I can feel it. Still she was worried that he would be hurt or not come back in time. She rested her elbows on the table and put her earrings on. They dangled, catching the light prey. y. She leaned down and tied her barefoot sandals on, clasping them around each ankle. Then she stood up and put on the matching belt, liking the delightful tinkling sound that it made. She stood straight and took a deep breathe.
This is it. she thought. I hope that he likes it. I hope that he’s there to see it.
She exited the room and made her way downstairs to the Great Hall.
Downstairs, Severus materialized into his sitting room. He was tired, but glad that he returned quickly. He took off his Death Eater robes, placing them in the closet. He pulled off his gloves and laid them on a side table. He thought about just ordering something to eat from the kitchens then getting into bed, but then he remembered that he had to chaperon the bloody dance.
“Fuck. This better be worth it.” He said irritated. As he was walking to the door he saw something out of the corner of his eye. Nemesis sat on the side table, a small note tucked into her mouth. He took the note and opened it. He smiled and petted the owl’s black feathers.
Severus,
If you want to see just what my hidden talent is, you’ve got to come to the dance. But, I won’t show you just yet—you’ll have to wait until I’m ready.
Zeporiap
And by the way, it will be very worth it if you show up.
Sev lef left his rooms immediately, heading upstairs to see what was going to make his presence at the ball so worth it.
When Zeporiap walked into the Hall all activity stopped. I guess my costume is alright. she thought. Still they don’t have to stare like that!
Everybody was looking at her costume. Zeporiap’s costume was reminiscent of a harem girl. It was a soft shimmering gold, sparkling everywhere. The bodice was a half-cut shirt, covering her breasts, the straps going up and over her shoulders only to cross in the back. The skirt rested low on her hips, showing off her navel piercing. A tinkling sound could be heard as she walked, drawing attention to the belt around the top of the skirt and the little bells around her ankles. Her feet were bare, showing off the special sandals that matched the design of the earrings she wore. A matching jeweled headband held back the mass of black curls, a small diamond dangling down onto her forehead.
Harry noticed her first. His mouth dropped open in awe. Looking at Ron, the same expression was on his face. Ginny and Hermoine exchanged glances, then got up from the table to retrieve their friend. They pushed their way through the crowd and popped out in front of her.
“Zeporiap, the table is this way!” Ginny grabbed her arm on the left. Hermoine stepped up to the right side. They quickly made it back to their table and out of sight from the ogling eyes in the room.
“Wow, you look—just wow.” Ron gushed. Harry didn’t know what to say, he was at a loss for words.
Ginny and Hermoine laughed at their boyfriends. “I told you she was going to cause a stir when she came in.” Ginny nodded her head, smiling at Zeporiap.
“I guess you guys like my costume, ¿si?” Everyone at the table laughed.
When Severus was just getting there, the music was barely starting. He entered through the faculty door and saw the students dancing around the dance floor. He looked around the décor of the room. All four of the house tables were gone, replaced with smaller tables placed around the square dance floor. Candles floated in the air, lighting the room softly. The charmed ceiling reflected a clear night sky, full of sparkling stars.
He watched the mass of dancing people for five minutes, irritated again at having to play chaperon to a crowd that didn’t really need it. But, he stayed—he wanted to see if she made it worth his while.
After an hour or so, he was approached by Dumbledore. They spoke for a few minutes quickly talking about some of the things that had occurred on his mission. He agreed later to send him a detailed letter of his account. Then the older man dropped his bomb.
“You know, I’ve noticed that you have been getting rather comfy with Miss Luz.” His eyes twinkled in amusement. “Is there something going on?” He nudged the younger man with his elbow. Severus rolled his eyes in disgust but decided to humor the nosy man.
“Yes, sir. And that’s all that I’m going to say.” Albus smiled a full smile now, albeit a sly one.
“Well, then I think what you are looking for is right there.” He said pointing to the center of the crowd.
Severus turned and could not believe his eyes. Zeporiap was there and she was making it worth his while. She was dancing by herself, moving her hips in a most inviting fashion. He could hear a tinkling sound and his eyes instantly fastened on her hips, watching the little charms jingle and sway. She was doing a belly dance… Merlin\'s fucking robes! If this is what her hidden talent was, he wanted it to stay hidden. He stepped to the front of the circle around her.
Zeporiap watched as Severus came closer and closer to where she danced. She swirled her hips, shaking them in time to the exotic music. She ignored the people around her, forgetting about the ogling eyes of the crowd. She spun around, making her arms move like a bird’s. She dipped down to the floor, sliding her leg forward until she was in a full split. Then she brought her back leg forward and leaned up on her knees. Getting up smoothly onto her feet, she watched as he stepped to the front of the circle. Keeping her eyes on him, she walked sensuously towards him, just out of his reach. She extended her hand, almost touching him. Then the music faded out. She smiled and said, “I hope that it was worth your while.”
Just when he was about to move forward, the air around her shimmered and she faded from his view. Everyone around him gasped, the exploded into applause.
“Wow, that was sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.” One boy said.
“Man, I wish she was dancing for me.” Another said. “Damn, that greasy git is a lucky guy!”
“I wish I could dance like that!” One girl said.
“Yeah, maybe it will keep my boyfriend in line if I knew how to dance like that.” Another girl said. The next time she saw Miss Luz she was going to ask for lessons—other girls agreed.
Hermoine and Ginny were no different. They turned and looked at each other in surprise. “If that was what she was planning on using that costume for, I would have gotten one myself and then begged her to show me how to get down like that!”
“I know what you mean, ‘Moine. I definitely want to learn how to move like that—she was moving like a snake, all sexy.” Ginny smiled wickedly. “Merlin’s robe and when she got down on the ground! You could practically hear the jaws dropping down with her.”
Ron was in shock again. He was at a loss for words for the second time that night. Harry could only shake his head at his friend. She was definitely something else. And she was dancing for Snape of all people! But, it was to be expected—they were soul mates after all. And her little show definitely proved that she was interested in making it a true match between them. Hopefully, it would make things a little easier in the future if Snape accepted her…proposal.
Severus turned and shoved his way through the crowd. He made his way out and into Dumbledore’s path. He was smiling hugely.
“Well my boy, was it worth your while?” His eyes were twinkling in amusement.
Severus was not in the mood to play games. “Where is she?” Albus’s smile got bigger if that was even possible.
“You will find her in your rooms. Where else would she be?” He laughed as the younger man practically bowled him over in his haste. He reached out and tapped him on the shoulder. “Have a nice evening.”
Severus nodded and made it down to his rooms in record time.
Zeporiap appeared in the room and rushed into action. She was a bundle of nerves, but forced herself to calm down. He’s probably going to be pissed off because I gave a public show. She thoughttingting her lip. I hope that he isn’t too mad.
She walked around the room, getting herself ready, making sure that she was presentable. Finally, she made her way to his bedroom and waited. She sat down on the bed, waiting for him to find her.
The door to the private rooms fell open, banging against the wall. She could hear his silky voice as he set the wards. His hurried footsteps echoed into the room, going away for a moment then, coming back in her direction.
Zeporiap smiled when she could see his silhouette against the wall, outlined by the soft glow of the candles in his room. She beckoned him forward with a shy, but inviting smile.
Severus stepped forward, slamming the door to his bedroom shut behind him.

WL1031: Well that was very good. I’m sorry for elbowing you Jade.
Jade: I’m not talking to you right now. *turns her back*
WL1031: Oh you’re not? Hmm… well okay. *shrugs her shoulders* *turns back to the audience* Even though Jade is not talking to me right now, she did help with this chapter. Most of it was her idea because she is a muse.
Jade: *mumbling* You know that’s right. Review people! And look out for Chapter 12 in a few days!
