Blackmail pt.2

*****

Hermione knocked on the outer door to Draco’s room. Both their rooms had doors leading to the corridor from their sitting rooms. This was so that Professors could stop in for a quick chat and students from other houses could receive advice. However, the door was rather funny and could only be opened from the inside, so they still had to use their common rooms to gain entrance to their rooms. This was quite the convenience though, as it would allow both to leave as Hermione without anyone taking notice.

Draco opened his door and looked at her warily. “I have the potion, “ she said, pushing past him and entering the room. He turned and shut the door.

“Nice of you to invite yourself in, Granger,” he said. “Make yourself at home.”

“Thanks, I think I will,” she said sitting down in one of the two armchairs. “I have some things to explain to you before I can give you this potion. Se- Professor Snape caught me while I was obtaining it for you. He was quite adamant about my not allowing you to use this again. I fully understand his reasoning and thus I have gone to great lengths to insure that you will not take this potion more than one more time.”

“The first charm is set to go off when I enter the restricted section of the library. It will cause the stopper to disappear. You cannot manually open the flask, no matter how hard you try. The second charm is set to go off either a half hour later or once you set the flask down. At that point the flask will disappear. Don’t attempt to pour any of it into another flask, as the third charm will cause all the charms to copy over to the new bottle.”

“The fourth and final charm is set to make sure that you actually take every last bit of the potion you attempt to imbibe. You will not be able to pour it into your mouth and spit it out into another container. Attempt this, and the results will not be fun. Do I make myself clear?” she asked.

“Crystal. How many of these charms did you create Granger?” Draco asked, almost impressed.

“All of them. And if you expect me to share them with you, you’re quite wrong. I don’t trust what you would do with them. Especially that last one,” Hermione shuddered. “However, I’m quite sure if you applied yourself, you could create some interesting charms of your own.”

“And how would I go about that?” he asked skeptically.

“You really don’t pay attention in class do you?” Hermione said.

“Well?” he said, ignoring her question.

“Through a combination of Arithmancy and Etymology. Of course if you paid in attention in Charms or Arithmancy, you would know this. I look up the words that would phrase what I want to do with the charm. I then use Arithmancy to figure out which word combinations would yield the best results. It’s quite simple,” she said matter-of-factly.

“Oh,” said Draco, “I knew that. I was just making sure that the know it all really knew what she was talking about.”

“Keep telling yourself that, Malfoy, and maybe someday you’ll believe it,” she said getting up. “I’m headed to the library. You know what to do. And if you don’t, the consequences-“

“Will be dire. Yes I know this, Granger,” Draco repliercasrcastically. He watched as Granger let herself out. Grabbing the flask Hermione had left sitting on the armchair, Draco made his way into his bedroom. He set the flask down on his bedside table and stared at it for five minutes unblinking.

He was pacing around his room debating his options when he heard a pop sound. Turning his attention to the table he noticed that the flask was now open. It’s now or never, he thought, and I really don’t want to know what never entails.

Draco picked up the flask and downed the potion. He had just barely moved his hand away from the flask when, with a pop, it disappeared. He could feel the changes rippling through him, and the feeling of his skin bubbling into the form of Granger seemed much worse this time. However, it was most likely due to nerves rather than the potion itself.

Draco changed into Granger’s clothes, which were clean as he had a house elf clean them at lunchtime. It seemed to take longer than usual for him to wiggle his way into the trousers. After changing clothing he paced his room nervously, trying to gather up his courage. Realizing that his safety and sanity was at stake if he didn’t go now, he gave up on the thought of courage and embraced self-preservation. Which was by far the more Slytherin trait of the two.

Why did I kiss him? Hermione pondered on her way to the library. I don’t love him. So, I see no reason for me to act as such. Not to mention there was no one there for me to prove the engagement to. Obviously Lucius wasn’t there, and we were quite alone.

Maybe I did it because of Draco. Surely the idea of possibly having this secret leaked to the entire school in lurid unrealistic detail is what caused this. I merely kissed him so that if the rumors did start, there would be some truth behind it, and I won’t have to feel awkward about it.

Or maybe I did this to prove something to Severus. To prove to him that a gra grown woman that can make her own decisions. But why do I care what he thinks? Surely I have no reason to care.

Maybe I was proving something to myself. But what? What do I have to prove? Obviously I didn’t prove it if I don’t know what it was I had to prove. Oh, why must men be so difficult? I will never understand myself, let alone understand them.

Draco stormed into the Gryffindor common room. “Listen, Harry,” he said with his usual air of confidence, not sure where it was coming from as he was beyond nervous just seconds before, “we need to talk about the kiss yesterday.”

“That we do,” said Harry, a little angrily. “I know you’re not Hermione.”

“You do? I can explain…” Draco started, his nervousness beginning to kick back in. He’s mad enough now, imagine if he knew that I knew that he knew I wasn’t Hermione; he’d wonder why I bothered with this. I just want a chance to get out of here if things go bad.

“Yes, and I don’t find it funny in the slightest. If this is some sort of joke, I really don’t want to know who you are. I don’t like the idea of being someone’s idea of amusement, and I will definitely not be the source of your laughter.”

“I’m sorry,” Draco said, trying to calm the angry Gryffindor.

“Sorry for what? For kissing me? For making a fool of me?”

“None of those. I’m sorry for running off. I panicked. I don’t understand this at all. I don’t understand my feelings,” Draco said, almost pacing around the common room, watching his feet and his hand resting on his forehead.

Harry reached forward and grasped Draco’s biceps, stopping him from his pacing. “So you wanted to kiss me?” Harry asked, one hand slipping under Draco’s chin to look the fake Hermione in the eye.

“I still do,” Draco said, leaning in, his mouth meeting Harry’s. Harry gave in to the kiss, opening his mouth slightly as Draco’s tongue darted across his lips. They explored each other’s mouths and Draco’s hand slipped through Harry’s hair.

At this Harry broke the kiss, “I can’t do this. I don’t even know who you are. Won’t you tell me?”

“I want to, but I’m afraid you’ll reject me once you find out who I am,” Draco said, looking down at his feet, Harry’s arms still grasping his own.

“You don’t know that. In fact I don’t know that. I can’t know until I know who you But But I can say that whoever you are, I’ve never been kissed like this before. Never felt so alive.” Draco’s heart rate sped up at this news, and a slight smile began to wash across his features. “And I don’t know why I’m telling you all this, since you obviously won’t tell me anything about you. Can you tell me what house you’re in?” Harry asked.

Draco’s mood dropped at the question. But he decided that if he wanted this to continue, he’d have to tell. What am I think Dra Draco asked himself. Why do I even want to continue this? He doesn’t like me and he’s going to laugh when I tell him. But what if he doesn’t? “Sl- Slytherin,” Draco muttered under his breath.

Harry didn’t say anything, just stared at his Polyjuiced visage.

Dear Merlin, what have I done? He hates me; he hates Slytherins. Why’d I even bother? “I better leave,” Draco said, trying to pull free of Harry’s tightening grip.

“No,” Harry said, “don’t leave. I don’t want to. to.”

“Oh. I thought you did.”

“No, not at all. This is a dumb question, but are you a girl?” Please, please, please don’t be a girl. Please be Malfoy, Harry thought to himself.

“No,” Draco stated. “What time is it?”

“Almost time for dinner,” Harry saconfconfused.

“I have to go,” Draco said; panic beginning to spread through him.

“Why? You don’t have to,” Harry said calmly. Please don’t leave. I want to know who you are.

“The potion is going to wear off any minute,” Draco said.

“So? If you stay I can see who you are, and I want to know who you are.”

“But I have to change,” Draco said, almost whining.

“You can change here.”

“No, I can’t. I don’t mean change back to myself. I mean these trousers. They don’t fit me when I’m myself.”

“Oh. Do you want to change into a pair of my trousers? I don’t mind,” Harry said earnestly.

“Really?” Draco asked.

“Yes. Come on,” Harry replied as he began dragging the Slytherin boy up to his dormitory. Draco followed complacently. He looked around in awe as the entered the room. So this is where the famous Harry Potter sleeps. It’s not bad. The Slytherin dorms are better though. Harry let go of Draco and headed over to his wardrobe and began shuffling through his trousers. “How big do you need them?” Harry asked.

“Hmmm?” asked Draco, gingerly sitting down on Harry’s bed. “What do you mean?”

“I mean do you need these,” he said holding up a of of his slim trousers, “or these?” holding up an old pair of Dudley’s trousers.

“The first pair will do,” Draco said nonchalantly. “May I ask why you have a hideously large pair of trousers?”

“I guess,” Harry said.

“Well?” Draco prodded. Didn’t rze hze he was as thickheaded as the Weasel.

“Oh, right. They used to be my cousin’s. I used to get all his old clothes. My Aunt and Uncle refused to buy me anything,” Harry said, tossing the trousers on the bed.

“So why do you still have them if you have trousers that actually fit you?”

“I don’t know,” Harry said. “How much more time you got? Shouldn’t you be changing?”

“Not much time. I’d change, but could you turn around?” Draco asked, flicking his hand, motioning for the other boy to turn away.

“Modest now? I would think after going to school here all these years, you’d be used to changing in front of other boys.”

“I am, but they don’t usually watch me change, as they’re busy changing themselves.”

“Oh, right,” Harry said turning around. He listened as Draco jumped around the room, struggling to get out of the too-tight trousers.

“Ooof,” Draco muttered as he fell to the ground, one leg of the trousers around his ankle, the other still lodged on his hip. “A little help, Potter,” Draco said, looking at the tangle of trousers and his legs.

Harry turned and chuckled at the sight. “Very well. How’d you manage this?” Harry asked as he pulled the trouser leg off Draco’s hip, his fingers brushing across Draco’s skin.

Draco’s breath caught at the contact, “Not sure. It probably has something to do with the fact that girls’ bodies are so bloody odd. They don’t even walk right.”

Harry pulled the trousers off from around Draco’s ankles. “There you go. I assume you can get into the other trousers on your own. Or do you need help with those, too?” Harry said, a gleam of amusement flickering in his emerald eyes.

“I can mange,” Draco said, pulling on the trousers with ease. Much easier than getting into Granger’s trousers.

Harry was standing there watching as the Slytherin boy buttoned the last button of his trousers. “I thought I told you to turn around,” Draco said, breaking Harry from his trance.

“Oh, erm, yes, you did,” Harry said nervously, a blush sweeping across his face.

“Doesn’t matter, “ Draco said. “You know you’re cute when you blush.” Where in bloody hell did that come from?

Harry stepped closer to Draco; his shoes now even with Draco’s bare feet. “Thanks?” Harry said, still blushing.

“Yes, very cute,” Draco said, leaning forward and capturing Harry’s lips with his own. Harry pulled the other boy closer to him as Draco tried pulling him closer. The act of pulling each other towards themselves paired with Draco’s changing center of gravity caused the boys to fall on the bed as Draco’s change began.

A/N 2: A super big thanks to all the reviewers. Keep them coming!

Rilla: A least Draco wasn’t kissing a fool. ;) And if Snape didn’t recognize the Polyjuice, I’d say he wasn’t a very good potions master.

Ira: Aww! Thanks hunny! I can’t believe you haven’t review either. More lemons soon…

Karen : LOL, yes that was quite amusing. Boys dorms just really aren’t the place for masturbation… they always seem to get caught.

Wintermoon: I hope I did a good job of explaining the permanent damage. Some good ideas on what will happen next. And I guess he still hasn’t exactly found out who his mystery admirer is, but oh boy, he’ll find out real soon.

Lizski: Thanks! I’m glad you like Lucius as a bastard, because well, he’s only just begun on the bastardness. I am excited about writing Draco’s next diary entry… if he wasn’t already seriously thinking about Harry, oh boy!

Kiristeen: Thanks! Yeah Draco was a hoot and a half last chapter… hope he’s as much of a hoot this time around.

Frulie: I listened even further about the longer chapters… sheesh! That was a long one. I particularly enjowritwriting that line. Its funny I rewrote that scene a couple of times, but that was the one line that stayed the same. Yes Hermione’s trousers are quite funny! I hope they were even funnier this time!
