I own not the Harry Potter universe and Absinthe can not be owned by anyone for she is a living soul I only helped to give birth too.

Chapter 9-it takes all sorts
Dumbledore sat watching the child sleep amazed at how much like her mother she looked. \'I\'m sure she will be just as much trouble\' he thought smiling to himself.
Julienne\'s first day there she missed the sorting. Hagrid had sworn he didn\'t see her, had no idea who she was. Albus considered that maybe she had the natural gift of presence. She could make herself seen or not seen, simply by her thoughts.
She had no idea she was a witch and her family didn\'t believe in such things. They had only let her go because it was suppose t a r a really good school. Now however, she was wishing she was back in her tiny room listening to music. She hadn\'t seen any friendly people on the train and was quite sure that she would hate it here.
When the sorting hat had gotten to the L\'s and Louvre, Julienne hadn\'t come forward, Dumbledore went to investigate, he motioned for them to go on with the sorting. Outside he couldn\'t see anyone right away. He felt the presence of another person nearby, he stopped scanning the area and looked very closely. Not more than five feet away was a scared little girl sitting on the nd hnd hugging her knee\'s. It wasn\'t a spell so much as a camouflaging thought. Much like the Leaky Cauldron had only smaller. He sat down where he was, careful not to get to close.
\"You know I was scared the first time I came here. Sometimes this place still scares me. I promise you it\'ll be a lot of fun if you give it a chance.\" He stared straight ahead looking at the lake. When he turned to look at her she had gotten closer. \"I bet your parents told you that places like this didn\'t exist. That it was all silly little girl fantasies.\" Closer still. \"Won\'t they be surprised when you come home able to prove then wrong.\" He stood up and offered his hand, she took it and stood up too. \"If you like you can stay invisible, I won\'t tell anyone.\" She looked up at his face and had a questioning look on her face. \"We all have special powers Julienne. Coming?\" She nodded her head and walked after him as they entered into the great hall everyone turned to look at Dumbledore but no one saw the small girl following him. The sorting had been done long ago and had been put away. Dumbledore waved for everyone to resume what they were doing. He walked over to the hat box, carried it behind the staff table and sat down on the ground with it. Julienne sat in front of him, he whispered something to the hat placed it on her head, took it off and the hat whispered something back. The smile on his face was more than enough to let anyone looking know the girl was a Gryffindor. He put the hat back and took Julienne\'s hand. He led her down to the Gryffindor table and found another scared looking first year. He introduced Julienne to Lilly and they were paraparable after that.
He looked up, Absinthe was awake and looking around worriedly. \"Welcome to Hogwarts, I\'m Albus Dumbledore.\" She closed her eyes and shook her head. \"I\'m guessing that you\'ve heard of me.\"
