TUESDAY - chapter 10

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hermione went to her classes because Severus said he didn’t want to sit through Professor Binns history class and through Hermione’s muggle studies class. She also had arithmacy.
She just wandered from class to class, thinking about how tonight might end up. Also, how the dare idea would help bring everyone closer. She had already noticed Harry and Draco getting closer, but that was probably because they had the whole Head dorm to themselves. She’d have to “check up” on them sometime.
Severus and Hermione, herself, weren’t really getting to know each other personally, just physically. Hermione, though, was glad she could finally be in her own body, even if it was because of a potion.
“Hermione, are you okay?” Harry asked from across the lunch table. He looked a bit worried. “Is there something wrong? You took your potion today didn’t you?”
Hermione nodded, “Yeah, I’m well. I’m just thinking about everything that’s been and will be going on. It’s been pretty fast, all four of us becoming like friends, ya know? Ron’s the only one not in on this.” Hermione watched as Ron walked over to them from the entrance hall.
“Where you guys been? All weekend you where doing something, with out me!” Ron was looking back and forth between Hermione and Harry, “You two aren’t dating, are you?!” He didn’t know Harry was gay and Hermione was more like a sister then anything to Harry.
“Ron! Shut up! We don’t need everyone to know!” Harry said, playing on Ron’s thought. He looked at Hermione and nodded to make sure she would go along. “Just sit down and eat something. We’ll explain.”
“Sorry, Ron, we thought you were going out with Lavender. This kind of happened,” Hermione waved her hand between her and Harry. “You’re not mad, are you?”
“Hermione! Why didn’t you guys just tell me earlier. Lavender won’t have me. Is that why you were not hanging out with me, because you were afraid I was going to object?” Ron said, trying to sound happier than he actually was.
“Oh, Ron, thanks. We didn’t want you mad at us.” Hermione said. She gave him a hug to make it look real.
“Umm, we weren’t really doing much. Hermione was trying to help me with my spells. Voldemort, you know? That’s why we weren’t hanging out with you.” Harry tried explaining.
“Well, Harry, Ron, I’ve got to get to my last class. See you later, Harry? In the bottom of the tower?” Hermione made reference to the dungeons.
“Yeah, be there after class.” Harry said after a moment of confusion.
“So, how’d this happen? When did this happen? What are you talking about? What tower?” Ron said, his ears turning red from his confusion.
“Well, I accidentally kissed Hermione and she returned the kiss. We talked about it, because you know Hermione, always talking, and decided to go out. It happened Saturday. We’re meeting somewhere secret to practice my spells, sometimes we don’t stop until after curfew.” Harry answered Ron’s questions.
Ron just looked at Harry like he was going mad. “How could you do this Harry?” was all Ron could think about after everything. He didn’t realize that Harry had said they were meeting somewhere secret.
“What do you mean?” Harry paused, looking at Ron, “You still like Hermione, don’t you? I’m sorry, Ron, I thought you had gotten over that. You were chasing Lavender.”
“Yeah, well, look where that got me. Just let me take this in for a few days. I’ll hang out with Dean and Neville for a time. I’ll be fine. I’ll see you later.” Ron tried to cover up everything. All he really wanted to do was make a scene and punch Harry, because he had Hermione. He just walked away, though, heading toward the quidditch pitch, to think in a quiet place, in a calming place for him.
Harry looked over to the Slytherin table and found Draco staring at him. ‘Too much time around us, Potter, you become like us,’ Draco sent Harry before he got up and walked out.
“Great.” Harry said aloud, making those around him look strangely at him. He got up from the table after drinking the rest of his juice and walked towards the Gryffindor tower.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Draco had been listening, through Harry, to the conversation that had went on over at the Gryffindor table. He didn’t like how they had come up with that lie that fast. He didn’t want Harry pretending he was going out with Hermione. He wanted Harry for himself.

When Draco had gotten up from the table, he headed for the library. He didn’t really want to go to class. He wanted to find something that might help him in his dare that he had in mind.

He wanted to see if you could transfigure clothes for longer then a few hours. He wanted to transfigure Harry’s clothes and make sure he would wear them for the whole day. He didn’t want Harry to transfigure them back until he had gone through all of his classes and dinner.

Draco set about looking for the transfiguration section. He would look there and then, if it wasn’t there, he would look in the Restricted section. He went down one row of books before he found a book that had what he wanted in it. ‘Transfiguring Your Clothes’ was the perfect title for what he needed.

Harry had to go to defense against the dark arts, and all the way to the class, he kept thinking about what Draco had said to him. ‘Too much time around us, Potter, you become like us’ was all he could think about.

He was asked a question, and when he didn’t answer, he was tapped on the shoulder. “What? Oh, sorry, Professor, what did you ask?” he said, surprised he wasn’t actually listening.

“Mr. Potter, are you okay? You don’t need anything do you?” the new professor asked him.

“No, I was just thinking and didn’t hear you. I’m perfectly fine.”

“Then I suggest you think about listening to me, before you get a detention. Now, what is the potion used for werewolves?” the Professor threatened. He walked back up to the podium, he looked as if he was trying to copy Snape’s dress and walk, as he waited for Harry’s answer.

“Wolfsbane potion, sir.” Harry said, trying to pay attention.

“Very good. Now, everyone’s assignment is to write 15 inches of parchment on how this potion works, how it helps the werewolf, and what would happen if the werewolf didn’t take the potion.”

There were some moans, but most people were glad, because Professor Snape had already gone over some of this, a few years earlier.

After everyone had left his class, Severus made sure everything was cleaned up properly. He rearranged some of the tables, so that the ‘dysfunctional four’ (Harry, Hermione, Draco, and himself) could use the potions room as a meeting point.

Hermione arrived just after Severus had gotten the cauldrons levitated and he didn’t see her, as he turned around. “Need help with anything else?” Hermione said loudly, startling Severus so badly he almost dropped the cauldrons he had levitating.

“Don’t you know how to knock? I swear I closed that door.” he said the last part mainly to himself.

Hermione just walked in and sat down on one of the stools. “I didn’t realize I needed to knock on an open door. Next time I’ll make sure to put a doorbell up for you.” she said playfully.

“Now, what’s this doorbell thing?” Draco asked from the door, just arriving.

“A doorbell is a muggle device that people can put by their doors, so when someone comes over they can push a button, that’s connected to a bell or machine that makes a tune, on the outside to let the people know inside that they are at the door.” she explained, trying to make it easier to understand for Draco.

“Oh. Something noisy. That makes me glad I can use magic.” Draco commented.

“Well, for those who can’t do magic, Draco, it’s the easiest way to know people are over, if you can’t hear them knock.” Hermione got a little defensive.

“Where’s Harry? He should have been here by now.” Severus said, changing the subject.

“Last time I saw him he was telling Ron, he and Hermione were...” Draco was interrupted.

“I’m here. I was reading something in the library.” Harry said, out of breath from trying to run down to the dungeons.

“I didn’t know you read, Potter. Amazing, what you find out hanging around with people.” Draco said snarkily.

Severus gestured to the clustered tables, “Oh, sit down. We should get started.” Interrupting another fight, Severus sat down.

Everyone sat down as far apart as they could from one another. They looked at each other, waiting for one of the others to talk first. When no one started to talk, Hermione went into action.

“So, does everyone have a dare in mind? Everyone also signed the paper that said we all changed our passwords to the agreed upon password, right?”

Everyone nodded in agreement, letting Hermione go on. “Well, I guess since I kind of started this, I’ll go first and write my dare down and give it to Harry.”

“I didn’t know we were writing the dares down, Hermione.” Severus said.

“Well, if we say them out loud then the subject would know what to expect and that would take the fun out of playing.” Hermione got a piece of parchment from her bag and ripped it into four pieces. “If you want to show anyone you can, but you can’t show the person you have to do the dare on. Everyone got that?” She passed out the four pieces, getting nods from the three men. "Also, if everyone does their dare then they'll get 50 points and the points will appear on the parchment we signed, if you don't do the dare, the parchment will just make a dash to show you don't get any points for that round."

Everyone agreed again. Then Harry asked, “We’re just writing our dares down and giving them to whomever we like?”

“Yeah, so then everyone can have a different one. To make it equal, we should do something to each others clothes, just to give a heads up for it. Next time someone else can pick. Just write down the dare and give it to the person you would think would be best to do it.” Hermione wrote hers down and handed it face down to Harry. Everyone else passed their dares to the person on their left.

Harry laughed and looked at Hermione mischievously. When he read the paper, all it said was “Emperor’s New Clothes (for Draco).” He was going to like giving Draco “new clothes.” He would just have to figure out how to charm his clothes to make them see through, with out letting Draco know it.

Draco laughed at Snape’s piece of paper, because he had to turn Harry’s clothes into all girl’s clothing. It made him happier, because he was going to see Harry be a cross dresser for a couple of days. He already new how to transfigure clothes now. His idea from earlier now tossed aside. He was glad Hermione had picked clothes for the dares.

Hermione was glad that she could enter Severus’ bedroom and wardrobe for a reason, now that she had this dare. She knew Severus wasn’t going to like it, but putting him in color was going to be funny, especially if those colors and clothes are Gryffindor quidditch robes for a few days.

Severus didn’t laugh at what he had to do, but he really wanted to. To change Hermione’s whole wardrobe into Slytherin colors was going to be great. He would get to see her support Slytherin and would be unable to change the colors back for a while, because of his spell he had learned in his own school years.

Everyone shared their dares with another, making sure they didn’t show the person the dare was for. They laughed and made their next meeting for the next, upcoming Tuesday, so they could get the dare done and have it last for a few days at least.

So, this is going to get even more interesting, huh?
