The Hermetic Principles
Warning: Attempted Non-Con in this chapter

---------------------------------------
It was Sunday, Hermione’s last day of silence before the whole school was abuzz with her elopement to Professor Snape. She headed to the Library extremely early.
Though it was unlikely she was going to run into anyone in the library on a Sunday, she did not especially want to risk it. She made her way into a hidden study room that she, Harry, and Ron used for planning. No other students knew how to get in, so Hermione felt quite safe to sit reading about Hermetics.
She opened a dusty tomb entitled, The Emerald Tablets: that Man might follow the Laws of the Universe by Hermes Trimegistus. Muggles had many books regarding Hermetics, but none were written by Hermes himself. This is where the wizarding world had a one up.
Smoothing down the ancient pages Hermione began to read:
True, without falsehood, certain, and most true: What is Below is as what is Above, and what is Above is as what is Below, in order to bring forth the Miracles of the One Thing. And as all things originate from One, by the self-contemplation of One (Mind), so all things are born in like manner by the modification of the One Thing. Its Father is the Sun; its Mother is the Moon; the Wind carries it within its Womb; Its Nurse is the Earth. Here is the Source of all things and Consummation of the whole World. Its virtue is perfected if it is turned into Earth.
Separate Earth by Fire, the subtle from the gross, sweetly, and with great genius. It ascends from Earth to Heaven, and then descends again to Earth, and receives the Power of the Superiors and of the Inferiors. Thus will you have the Glory of the whole World; therefore, will all Obscurity flee from you. This is the greatest Power of all Power, because it is victorious over every subtle, and penetrates every solid, thing. So the World was created. Hence were all wonderful Adaptations, according to the Pattern shown here. Therefore am I called Hermes Trismegistus, having the three parts of the Philosophy of the whole World. What I have to say is completed concerning the Work of the Sun.
Hermione turned the page and was blinded by the glare off the Emerald engravings from the window behind the desk. It was written in Latin, but she translated it with ease:
The Principles of Truth are Seven; he who knows these,
understandingly, possesses the Magic Key before whose
touch all the Doors of the Temple fly open.
The Law of Mentalism:
''The All Is Mind; The Universe Is Mental.''
The Law of Correspondence:
''As Above, So Below; As Below, So Above."
The Law of Vibration:
''Nothing Rests; Everything Moves; Everything Vibrates''
The Law of Polarity:
''Everything Is Dual; Everything Has Its Pair Of Opposites; Like And Unlike Are The Same; Opposites Are Identical In Nature, But Different In Degree; Extremes Meet; All Truths Are But Half Truths ; All Paradoxes May Be Reconciled.''
The Law of Rhythm:
''Everything Flows Out And In; Everything Has Its Tides; All Things Rise And
Fall; The Pendulum Swing Manifests In Everything. The Measure Of The Swing
To The Right Is The Measure Of The Swing To The Left; Ryththm Compensates''
The Law of Gender:
''Gender Is In Everything; Everything Has Its Masculine And Feminine Principle; 'Gender Manifests On All Planes.”
The Law of Cause and Effect:
''Every Cause Has Its Effect; Every Effect Has Its Cause; Everything Happens According To The Law; Chance Is A Name For The Law Not Recognized; The Are Many Planes Of Causation, But Nothing Escapes The Law.''
Hermione looked up from the book, Hermes words echoing in her head. Chance Is A Name For The Law Not Recognized. Chance Is A Name For The Law Not Recognized. Chance Is A Name For The Law Not Recognized. Chance Is A Name For The Law Not Recognized.
Hermione took out parchment and a quill and began dissecting the Hermetic Principles.
The Law of Mentalism: ''The All Is Mind; The Universe Is Mental.''
She snorted, “The Universe is Mental? Truer words have never been spoken..”
Focusing back on her work she began writing her theorems regarding Hermes’ work.
The ‘All’ shall be defined as follows: that which is the Substantial Reality underlying all the outward manifestations and appearances which we know under the terms of "The Material Universe"; the "Phenomena of Life"; "Matter"; "Energy"; and, in short, all that is apparent to our material senses. This indicates that all things material and physical are also metaphysical or ‘Spirit’. Thus, this law validates psychic phenomena. Applying this theory, use of wandless magic for all spells, even the most complex should be within the realm of human capability.
The Law of Correspondence: ''As Above, So Below; As Below, So Above."
Above shall be defined as follows: a plane beyond human understanding, subconscious and conscious thought, the metaphysical plane. Below shall be defined as follows: The physical plane, that which is material.
The outer world (below) is a mirror of the inner world (above). Thoughts shall manifest into being. If believe you have power, you do. If you believe you are weak, so shall you be.
The Law of Vibration: ''Nothing Rests; Everything Moves; Everything Vibrates''
This principle is currently endorsed by Modern Muggle Science. The belief that nothing is at rest. This Principle explains that the differences between different manifestations of Matter, Energy, Mind, and even Spirit, result largely from varying rates of Vibration. From THE ALL, which is Pure Spirit, down to the grossest form of Matter, all is in vibration--the higher the vibration, the higher the position in the scale. The vibration of Spirit is at such an infinite rate of intensity and rapidity that it is practically at rest--just as a rapidly moving wheel seems to be motionless. And at the other end of the scale, there are gross forms of matter whose vibrations are so low as to seem at rest. Between these poles, there are millions upon millions of varying degrees of vibration. From corpuscle and electron, atom and molecule, to worlds and universes, everything is in vibratory motion. This is also true on the planes of energy and force (which are but varying degrees of vibration); and also on the mental planes (whose states depend upon vibrations); and even on to the spiritual planes. An understanding of this Principle, with the appropriate formulas, enables Hermetic students to control their own mental vibrations as well as those of others. The Masters also apply this Principle to the conquering of Natural phenomena, in various ways. "He who understands the Principle of Vibration, has grasped the scepter of power," says one of the old writers. Applying this theory, vibrations can compete and control. They can combat other vibrations. Love would a higher scale vibration, able to defeat a lower scale vibration such as fear and hatred. This can also be subjected to test the ability to destroy objects by matching the vibration with it’s polar opposite.
The Law of Polarity (aka Lucius’ law): ''Everything Is Dual; Everything Has Its Pair Of Opposites; Like And Unlike Are The Same; Opposites Are Identical In Nature, But Different In Degree; Extremes Meet; All Truths Are But Half Truths ; All Paradoxes May Be Reconciled.''
This principle explains that in everything there are two poles, or opposite aspects, and that "opposites" are really only the two extremes of the same thing, with many varying degrees between them. To illustrate using Lucius’ example: Heat and Cold, although "opposites," are really the same thing, the differences consisting merely of degrees of the same thing. On a thermometer can one discover where "heat" terminates and "cold" begins? There is no such thing as "absolute heat" or "absolute cold"--the two terms "heat" and "cold" simply indicate varying degrees of the same thing, and that "same thing" which manifests as "heat" and "cold" is merely a form, variety, and rate of Vibration. So "heat" and "cold" are simply the "two poles" of that which we call "Heat"--and the phenomena attendant thereupon are manifestations of the Principle of Polarity. The same Principle manifests in the case of "Light and Darkness," which are the same thing, the difference consisting of varying degrees between the two poles of the phenomena. Where does "darkness" leave off, and "light" begin?
Hermione pondered her conclusion. What is light? When does it fade into darkness? How can one tell? She continued her hypothesis.
Taking a radical and extreme example--that of "Love and Hate," two mental states apparently totally different. And yet there are degrees of Hate and degrees of Love, and a middle point in which we use the terms "Like or Dislike," which shade into each other so gradually that sometimes we are at a loss to know whether we "like" or "dislike" or "neither." All are simply degrees of the same thing. And, more than this, it is possible to change the vibrations of Hate to the vibrations of Love, in one's own mind, and in the minds of others?
The possibility of this being accomplished by the use of the Will (a combination of all the principles discussed thus far), by means of the Hermetic formulas. "Good and Evil" are but the poles of the same thing, and so a Hermetist understands the art of transmuting Evil into Good, by means of an application of the Principle of Polarity. In short, the "Art of Polarization" becomes a phase of "Mental Alchemy" which can be known and practiced by the Hermetic Masters. An understanding of the Principle will enable one to change his own Polarity, as well as that of others, if he will devote the time and study necessary to master the art.
Hermione was stunned. Perhaps this could be the solution to ending Lord Voldemort’s reign? If only she could find a Hermetic Master to study under. She has know idea how to read vibrations or transmute polarity. She would need to speak with Lucius. Perhaps he could rec---
Hermione paused in mid-thought.
She had heard a shuffle of footsteps from the entrance to the study. She looked carefully, but saw no one there. There are many ways to make oneself invisible thought Hermione I need to make sure no one is here
She rose up carefully and made her way to the door nonchalantly, she reached the entrance wall and paused to listen for sounds. Nothing
She prepared to poke her head out the wall, when a strong arm grabbed her around the arms, “Colloportus! Muffilato!”
The voice was familiar, he was breathing harshly into her face and he smelt of rancid potions.
He spun her around to face him, and she saw the demented face of Ron looking at her through crazed eyes.
“You were supposed to be MINE!” He yelled, with spittle flying onto her face. He squeezed her arms tightly, bruising the skin and making her cry out in pain.
“R—Ron….wh-why?”
Ron slapped her hard across the face, “Shut up you WHORE!”
Hermione fell to the ground gripping her face and Ron stumbled over and sat on her chest.
She wheezed under his weight and he gripped her throat none too gently, “You think you’ve got everyone fooled. Trying to act like you are some fucking angel. Turning Harry against me? FUCKING that greasy DEATH EATER?”
He moved down from her throat and gripped her breast roughly, “You want to get fucked like a death eater? I can fuck you just like one! I’ll show you!”
Ron ripped open her robes and tore her blouse down the middle revealing her bra beneath it, “You wanted this. You asked for this”
Hermione began to sob as Ron pulled down her bra and bit her nipple hard, “Are you CRYING? That’s what the death eaters like isn’t it? Do you cry for them when they fuck you? Do you cry when Voldemort sticks his snake in your dirty CUNT!”
In the Dungeons, Severus Snape had flown out the door and up to the Library. He searched up and down but found her nowhere. The Headmaster was away, so he ran as quickly as he could to the Head Dormitory and knocked on Harry’s door frantically.
Harry opened the door in his bed clothes and was grabbed by Professor Snape, “Hermione! There’s something wrong! Where is your blasted map?!”
Harry took one look at the Professor and grabbed his map from his trunk, activating it as did, “She’s in the library with Ron.”
Harry and the Professor looked at each other and both took off in a run.
In the Library, Ron lifted up Hermione’s skirt and brutally grabbed her cunt, “I can give you everything he can. I can be just like death eater.”
He bent down and forced his tongue into her mouth, squeezing and slapping her pussy through her panties, “You like this you whore, I know you do.”
Ron leaned back and unzipped his pants, pulling out his soft, freckled cock and began pulling on it, “I’m going to fuck you like the whore you are…”
Without warning, the stones near the door blasted apart. In the dust a furious Severus stood next to a horrified Harry Potter. The air around Severus was crackling with visible electricity. He raised his hand and blasted Ron back who hit the desk and crashed through the window.
“NO!!!!” screamed Hermione a she scrambled to her feet. She rushed to the window and saw him nearing the ground and lifted both palms intoning in an unearthly voice, “ARRESTO MOMENTUM!”
A shockwave of power burst through her hand, obliterating the glamour as her hair became white and her eyes blue. Ron stopped inches from the ground, and Hermione collapsed into Severus’ arms.
A/N: Hate to burst your bubble if you had any doubt, but it IS Ron, and not someone polyjuiced. As I wrote in the chapter, only Harry and Ron knew about this room apart from Hermione.
