Summary: Hermione and Severus are called to return to Corusant. What happens when Anakin and Voldemort join forces to kill Hermione and Harry? Can the Jedi council and their friends save them? R/R

Chapter 10

Obi-Wan stood outside Hermione’s bedroom for nearly five minutes before he decided to enter. Before he could walk in, the doors opened and Yoda and Mace came walking out. Obi-Wan bowed to them.

“Waiting for you she is,” Yoda said.

“Master?” Obi-Wan asked in confusion.

“Talk later we will. Go to her,” Yoda replied.

Obi-Wan watched as Yoda and Mace walked away. He shook his head to clear his thoughts, then entered the room. He found Severus sitting beside Hermione talking. Hermione turned her head and a soft smile lit up her face as she saw him.

“Obi-Wan,” she whispered.

“Well, I’ll leave you two alone. I’ll be in the living room should you need me,” Severus smiled as he nodded to Obi-Wan. As he passed the Jedi, he whispered softly, “She’s doing much better. She’s been waiting for you to come by,”

“Thank you,” Obi-Wan replied. Severus just patted the man’s shoulder.

Once Severus left, Obi-Wan rushed to Hermione’s side. Carefully, he sat on the bed and gathered her into his arms. Slowly tears began to fall from his eyes. Hermione wrapped her arms around his waist and just tried to comfort him.

“I’m so sorry Hermione. I should have been here when you needed me instead of hiding like a coward,” he sighed.

“You’re no coward Ben. You were, are hurting. We lost our child. I never even suspected I was pregnant,” she said as she stroked his back soothingly.

They sat there just holding each other and grieving for the loss of their unborn child. Both gaining strength from one another. Strength enough to get through this and face the future. Together.

“When do we get her?” Bella asked impatiently.

“Tonight, when she’s asleep,” Ron answered.

The two had been spying on Hermione through the bedroom window all day. Luckily for them, it was only an hour before the sun would begin to set. Ron led Bella away from the window. They would wait till the time was just right before making their move.

As the sun set, Bella and Ron went over the plan once more. Once their plan was set, they snuck back to Hermione’s window. There were three people inside. Hermione, Severus, and Harry.

“We should grab Potter too,” Bella grinned.

“No. We get only Hermione and Snape. Let’s go,” Ron instructed.

Obi-Wan sat nervously across from Yoda. Yoda was meditating while Ob-Wan tried to calm his racing heart. Finally, the older Jedi opened his eyes and faced Obi-Wan with a soft smile.

“How is Senator Granger?” Yoda asked.

“Still weak, but feeling better,” Obi-Wan answered.

“Good. Now, about her we must talk,” Yoda said.

Before either could say another word, Mace came rushing into the room. “Senator Granger and Senator Snape are gone. Harry was knocked unconscious. When he came too, he found the Senators gone and this note,” Mace handed them the letter.

I have what you love Obi-Wan. If you want them to live, you and Jedi Potter will come to Mustafar. You have one week or all you’ll get back will be their dead bodies.

“Has Harry seen this?” Obi-Wan asked, trying to keep his emotions in control.

“Yes. He is packing and Solan has gone to get a ship,” Mace answered.

Obi-Wan jumped to his feet and headed for the door. He stopped as Yoda spoke. “Mind your feelings Obi-Wan. You don’t and lose Senator Granger you will,”

“I understand. I will leave the Order once I return. I’m sorry Master Yoda,” Obi-Wan said.

“Why didn’t you tell him?” Mace questioned as they watched Obi-Wan walk away.

“No chance to tell him,” Yoda smiled gently.

Obi-Wan hurried to his quarters. He grabbed his lightsaber and his traveling cloak. He spun on his heel and hurried to Harry’s apartment. He found Harry putting on his own traveling cloak.

“Where is Solan getting the ship?” Obi-Wan asked.

“From Padme. He wants us to meet him at her landing platform,” Harry answered.

Harry felt Obi-Wan’s fear and anger. He walked over and placed a hand on the older man’s shoulder and their eyes locked. “Don’t worry, we’ll get them back Obi-Wan. I promise, but you need to control your emotions. If I can sense them, I guarantee Anakin will too. You can’t let him use them against you,” he said.

“You’re right Harry. Master Yoda know about Hermione and I. Once we get them back and return, I will leave the Order. I can’t live without her. If I have to choose between her and the Order, I choose her,” Obi-Wan replied.

“No matter what, I will be there for both you and Hermione, Obi-Wan. Just take care of her for me,” Harry stated.

“I will Harry,” Obi-Wan nodded.

Hermione opened her eyes as she slowly came around. She noticed two things at once. One, she wasn’t at the temple anymore and two, she wasn’t alone. She looked over and spotted someone sitting in the shadows beside her bed.

“Who are you?” she asked.

“Hello Senator,”

“Anakin. Why? Why are you doing this? Where’s Severus?” she demanded.

“Oh Senator Snape will be joining you shortly. As for the why, that’s simple. You will be the destruction of Obi-Wan. He took you from me. You were suppose to be with me, not him,” Anakin said.

“What? Ani, I cared for you, but only as a friend and a brother, nothing more. I’ve always loved Obi-Wan,” she replied.

“He has turned you from me. No matter, once he’s out of the way, you will be mine,” he hissed.

“You’re wrong Anakin,” she stated.

“You’ll change your mind my love, or you will die. Oh, I had Voldemort heal you completely, however you will be unable to leave this room,” he explained.

Hermione watched as he walked away. Once she was alone, she slowly sat up. Surprisingly, she felt no pain. Looking around, she found a dress laying over a chair. She climbed out of bed, found the bathroom, and grabbed a shower. She had just finished putting on the dress, when the doors opened. She turned just as Bella and Nott carried Severus in and dropped him on the sofa.

“Ta at,” Bella smiled evilly as she and Nott left.

Hermione rushed to Severus’ side. “Severus, are you alright?”

“Hermione. What about…you?” he whispered.

“Sshh. I’m fine. Just rest. We’ll get through this Severus. Obi-Wan and Harry will come. I just know it,” she smiled as she stroked his hair and looked over his bruised and bleeding face for signs of any broken bones.

‘Obi-Wan, please help us. I love you,’ she thought.

‘Hang on love. Harry and I are on the way. I love you too,’ Obi-Wan’s voice echoed in her mind.

Hermione felt his love wash over her, giving her strength. She knew that everything would be okay. She knew she and Severus would get through this and be reunited with the ones they loved. Obi-Wan and Padme.

Padme sat on her sofa next to Solan. After Harry and Obi-Wan left, Solan returned to her apartment and told her what had happened and what the plan was. The Chancellor lowered her head. She was fearful for her friends.

“Don’t worry milady, Harry and Obi-Wan will bring Severus back to you,” Solan said as he covered her hand with his.

“How do you know Solan? Anakin isn’t thinking clearly. Plus, Hermione told me about this Voldemort. He wants Severus dead about as much as Anakin wants Obi-Wan dead,” she replied.

“I can feel it. Harry and Obi-Wan will be successful,” he stated confidently.

Padme began crying. She couldn’t help but feel she would never see Severus and Hermione again. At least not alive. Solan wrapped his arms around the woman who had stolen his brother’s heart. All he wanted was to offer her whatever comfort he could.

Harry came out of his meditative state as Obi-Wan sat across from him. They were still a good two days away from Mustafar, but they had made good time in leaving Corusant. Both were feeling surprisingly calm.

“I heard Hermione. In my mind through the Force,” Obi-Wan said.

“You did? Is she all right?” Harry asked in surprise.

“She seems to be. Worried and scared, but fine. I don’t think Anakin would hurt her. He seems to want her alive,” Obi-Wan answered.

“That’s a good sign I guess. So, how do we do this?” Harry questioned.

“We go in together. If we separate, who knows what they would do,” Obi-Wan sighed.

“At some point you know we will have to separate. I know that Hermione and Severus told you about the Prophecy surrounding me and Voldemort. I am the only one who can stop him,” Harry pointed out.

“I know. I also know that I will have to kill Anakin,” Obi-Wan nodded sadly.

“Well, we had better get some rest. We will both need all our strength and wits about us to pull this off and bring them home alive,” Harry said.
