“Excuse me, thank you.”
“Wait a second,” said Harry as he grabbed Malfoy’s wrist. “You can’t just steal off other people’s plates.”
“Yeah, what’s wrong with you?” said Ron.
Draco raised his chin. “Millicent stole my apple.”
“So? That doesn’t mean you can come over here and steal mine.”
“You owe me, Potter.”
“I don’t owe you food,” said Harry as he tried taking back his apple.
“Letting me take whatever I want from you is considered payment,” explained Draco.
“What’ll I eat then?”
“Take Weasley’s apple.”
Ron quickly took a sloppy bite out of his apple.
From the appalled look on Harry’s face, Draco said, “Take Granger’s apple, then.”
“I’m saving mine for later,” said Hermione.
Harry wrenched Draco’s arm, “I want my apple back.”
“I need my daily fruit!” Draco exclaimed.
“Malfoy, you are a fruit.”
“Shut up, Weasley.”
Harry yanked at his apple again, and soon they were in a tug-of-war. Suddenly, Draco rushed forward and took a bite out of Harry’s apple. Harry stared, astonished, but when Draco thought he won, Harry snatched the apple back and bit into where Draco had. Draco’s eyes widened.
“Told you,” said Harry, chewing slowly, “It’s my apple.”
