As Long As You're Mine

A/N: Yes, yes I know that Cedric is not a Seeker...but neither do they go around singing and dancing and kissing each other [mores the pity ;)] Just go with me on this one, please?
--------
“Welcome one and all to the final game of the Quidditch Cup here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!” Called Dean Thomas. He was acting as the replacement commentator and, while good, lacked the certain something possessed only by the famous Lee Jordan.
But the two Seekers who hovered above the action, both searching for the elusive Snitch, largely ignored his voice. Harry grinned suddenly, he had just hit upon a sure-fire way to distract Cedric from the game. He flew closer to the older Seeker, who was studiously ignoring him.
“Kiss me too fiercely, hold me too tight.” He sang quietly. Intending to keep and eye out for the Snitch, but quickly realizing he was just as distracted as he had intended to make Cedric. “I need help believing you’re with me tonight. My wildest dreams, they could not foresee, lying beside you. With you wanting me.”
Cedric’s head whipped around to stare at Harry incredulously. Harry merely smiled.
“And just, for this moment, as long as you’re mine. I’ve lost all resistance, and crossed the borderline. And if it turns out its over too fast, I’ll make every last moment last. As long as you’re mine.”
Cedric’s reproving expression softened as he smiled, he was just as lost. “Maybe I’m brainless, maybe I’m wise. But you’ve got me seeing through different eyes. Somehow I’ve fallen under your spell. And somehow I’m feeling, its up that I fell.”

Neither gave any more pretension of playing the game as they sang together.

“Every moment, as long as you’re mine, I’ll wake up my body. And make up my mind!”
“So say there’s no future, for us as a pair.” Cedric sang soulfully.
“And though I may know, I don’t care!” Harry flew even closer as he once again joined the song. “As long as you’re mine! Come be how you want to, and see how bright we shine. Borrow the moonlight, until it is through...”

Something bright flashed at the corner of Harry’s vision, just behind Cedric.

“...and know I’ll be here, holding you. As long as you’re mine!”

The music ended and Cedric laughed a bit at the intense expression on Harry’s face.
“What is it?”
“Its just...for the first time...I feel...wicked!” Harry whispered, a gleam in his eye.
Immediately he blew past Cedric and before anyone knew what was going on, his fist had closed around the elusive Golden Snitch.

Gryffindor had won the Quidditch Cup.
