A New Hope
Chapter 10

That night found Harry sitting on the window ledge of his room, looking out at the clear sky. He held in his hands the piece of parchment that his potions master had given him earlier.
The boy-who-lived sat there, pondering rather or not he wanted to read what was on the parchment. For all he knew it could have been a letter sending him back to the Dursely’s or something worse. He had no idea who it was from, though he did want to know.
With a deep breath he unfolded the now worn out parchment and began to read by the light of the moon.
Harry,
I’ve been told of your condition though I am not happy about any of this and I am greatly saddened and sorry for all that I have put you through by sending you back to your relatives year after year. I can only hope that you will forgive me.
Now, about your current condition, seeing as Professor Snape has been through this before we thought that it would be a good idea if he would look after you during your pregnancy. He is sufficient in making the potions that you will need in months to come and he can teach you how to care for your child after it is born.
I would like to know who the other father is however. There is a simple test that Poppy can perform that will tell us before the child is born, exactly who its other father is. It is entirely up to you to decide if you’d like for Poppy to perform the spell, just let Severus know what you choose to do.
Also, there is no possible way for you to hide your pregnancy, it is just simply to dangerous given your age. It is also to dangerous for you to stay in Gryffindor tower in your current state, so when you return to Hogwarts this year, Professor Snape will show you to your new rooms.
I believe that is all I need to inform you of. Once again I am truly sorry for everything. If you need anything, be sure to let Severus or myself know.

Harry read through the letter a few times before putting it down. He didn’t know what to think. It was all a shock to him, he hadn’t thought about what he’d look like upon returning to Hogwarts in a little over a month. He would get made fun of. What would Hermione and Ron think? Would they still like him? Hermione would try to help him…that or just be really freaked out by him. Ron would freak out and when Molly Weasley found out hell was going to break loose.
Harry was so deep in thought that he didn’t hear his bedroom door open and close.

AN: Ok, don’t hate me because it’s short. I didn’t have enough time to finish so you’ll find out who just entered Harry’s room in the next chapter. Who do you all think that it is? I hope that I played Albus right…I didn’t want to make him sound too “old-fashioned”. Well let me know what you think.
