After a quick trip to the emergency room Eileen wasn't in bad shape. Her wrist and ankle were in a splint but she felt much better. She would have just healed her wounds with magic but she needed them to press muggle charges against Tobias.
Eileen dropped by the Ministry to be put in a protection program. She had already applied for a muggle restraining order against Tobias but there were other people she needed to fear. The fact she was Severus' mother put her in danger. There were a lot of people out there that hated him and would take it out on her.
Since the war had started to get worse lots of wizards and witches had started to go the ministry for protection. As soon as Eileen had stepped into the Ministry all eyes fell on her. Dumbledore had been a loved man and her son had killed him.
She kept her head down and her eyes on the floor as she walked to the 'Protection Program'. The lady at the desk was actually very nice to her when Eileen told her that she had just left her husband, her son was Severus Snape, and that she needed help.
“Well let's see,” the woman said flipping through a pack of papers. “We had plenty of families that are willing to take in a lost witch or wizard. Ah! Here is a good one. Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. They say here that they are more than willing to help out anyone who is on the good side.”
Eileen didn't know anyone named Nymphadora Tonks but the name Remus Lupin rung a bell. He had been in the same year as Severus.
“I could contact them for you,” the woman contained when Eileen didn't say anything. “They are very good people.”
“Yes that would be nice,” Eileen said with a nod. “Thank you very much.”
Eileen walked over to one of the waiting chairs and sat down. The woman quickly whipped out a quill and wrote a short note before sending it off with an owl. She was barely sitting there a few minutes before she saw someone run up to the desk and start talking to the woman.
It was man that Eileen didn't know. He had bright red hair and was wearing beat up looking robes. The woman at the desk nodded and pointed at her. Her body tensed as the stranger started to walk up to her.
“Eileen Snape?” He asked when he reached her.
“Yes,” she whispered. “What can I do for you?”
“My name is Arthur Weasley.” the man said. “I just want to make sure they were able to find a place for you to stay.”
“How did you know I was even in need of a place to stay?” Eileen asked sounding very confused.
“I had a feeling,” Arthur explained. “So did they find a place for you to stay?”
“They are checking with Remus Lupin and someone named Nymphadora Tonks,” she explained.
“They're friends of mine,” he said. “They're coming over to my place for dinner tonight. You could come and talk to them about it then.”
Eileen didn't know why but for some reason she felt like crying. Tears filled her eyes and leaked out down her face.
“Are you ok?” Arthur asked kneeling down in front of her.
“Yes!” she cried rubbing her eyes. “I'm just surprised and happy is all. I didn't expect anyone to be nice to me.”
“Don't you worry,” he said picking up her bag for her. “There are plenty of witches and wizards out there that don't care Severus is your son.”
“Thank you so much,” Eileen said getting to her feet and picking up the bear. “I'd be more than glad to join you for dinner and see your friends.”
“That a girl,” he said patting her on the back. “You've a bit skinny. My wife is going to love cooking dinner for you.”

Molly hurried into the house and began to cook dinner. She hadn't meant to be gone all day. It was nearly nine and she was just getting started on dinner. Remus and Tonks had arrived a few minutes before she did and sat at the kitchen table talking to Ginny.
“A baby!” Tonks was saying. “This is so exciting. I love babies but Remus and I want to wait until the war is over before having our first.”
“Or longer,” Remus whispered into his pumpkin juice.
“Oh Lupin,” Ginny said smiling at him. “You're so good with kids. You are going to make a great daddy.”
“Thank you Ginny,” Remus said trying not to blush. “But you have to remember babysitting is very different from having your own kids.”
“Where is Arthur?” Molly said throwing some hamburger into a pan. “He said he would owl if he had to work late.”
Her eyes fell on the clock and noticed that Arthur's name had just moved to 'traveling'. Molly smiled going back to her cooking. Only a few minutes passed before the door opened and Arthur's head peeked in.
“Molly dear,” he said. “Would you come here for a moment. I need to talk to you.”
“Alright dear,” Molly said looking at Remus and Tonks. “Watch the food for me.”
Molly opened the front door and walked out into the yard. She was surprised to see a woman she didn't know standing next to Arthur.
“Molly this is Eileen Snape,” Arthur said pointing to the stranger. “Eileen this is my wife Molly.”
“Hello dear,” she said extending her hand. “You're Severus' mother right?”
The only reason she even knew that she was Snape's mother was because Hermione had mentioned it once when telling her about the newspaper clippings she had found.
“Yes I am,” Eileen said shaking her hand with her free hand.
“You poor dear,” Molly said noticing her wrist. “What happened to you?”
“It's kind of a long story,” the hurt woman said pulling her wrist close to her body.
“She has left her husband,” Arthur explained, “and is in need of a place to stay. I invited her over to see if Remus and Tonks will take her in.”
“Wonderful idea,” the red headed woman said smiling. “And if they can't you are always welcome here. I have many sons and I already know what is like to have one of them leave.”
Arthur sighed slightly at the mention of that. Even though that was sad to hear it cheered Eileen up. These were people who had some clue as to what was going through and were willing to help her.
“You come right in and make yourself at home.” Molly said leading them back into the house.
Leaving Tonks and Remus in charge of the cooking had been a very bad idea. Remus wasn't that bad of a cook but Tonks burned toast. The hamburger in the plate had already turned black. Ginny sat at the table giggling.
“I'm sorry sorry Molly,” Tonks said looking up from the food. “Remus and I aren't the best cooks.”
“It's alright,” Molly said laughing. “I can fix it in no time.”
It was then that Ginny, Remus, and Tonks noticed the new comer in the room.
“Hello Remus,” Eileen said looking at him and smiling.
