Dursley’s Arrest
Chapter 13
After arriving in Hawaii Moody and Tonks went to the hotel the Dursley’s were supposedly staying in. They went straight to the information desk, as that was the best Muggle method for gathering information.
‘Hello may I help you?’ Asked the Lady at the desk.
“Yes. We are looking for a family that are supposed to be staying here.” Tonk’s asked.
“Let me check. What are the names of the people that you are looking for?” She asked turning to the computer beside her.
“Vernon and Petunia Dursley, they are also traveling with their son Dudley Dursley and Mr Dursley’s sister Marge Dursley. I’ve got a picture of them if you need it?”
“No no just the names are fine. And yes they are at this hotel. Can you tell me what this is all about?”
Tonks held out the badge that Aurors used when dealing with Muggles.
The woman’s eyes widened as she reached for her phone. “Let me call the manager.”
It was several minutes later when the Manager arrived.
“Hello, can I help you?” he asked, nervously.
“Yes. We are here to place several of your guests under arrest. The Dursley family, arrived from England several days ago I believe.”
“Very well.’ He said relaxing slightly. “Can you tell me what the Dursley's are accused of?”
“Two of their crimes are Child Endangerment and attempted of murder. Now if we could please move on.”
“Certainly.’ Said the Manager, turning to the receptionist and asking for the room numbers. “311,312,313.” He said a moment later.
“Please do not scare the guests at this hotel.”
“We will be discreet. Thank you for your help.”
Tonks and Moody motioned for most of the other Aurors that had been waiting by the door to follow them. The remaining few were set the task of obliviating the Manger and the Receptionist. They then took the lift up to the Dursley’s floor.
After leaving other Aurors to watch the other two rooms, Moody and Tonks went to the one allocated to Harry’s aunt and uncle.They whole family were in Vernon and Petunia room. Vernon opened the door to see people that he did not know. Though they both looked vaguely familiar in some way.
“Can I help you?” he asked.
“Are you Mr Vernon Dursley?” Tonks asked.
“Yes I am . Who do you want to know?”
“Resident of number four Privet drive, Little Whinging, Surrey?”
“That’s right.”
“Vernon Dursley you are under arrest. For the abuse and attempted murder of a minor.”
“What is my brother being arrested for?” Marge Dursley asked stepping forward.
“Actually you all are under arrest.”
Vernon stood there shocked, surprised that the police had already found out what he’d done. Petunia was sobbing and hugging her little Dudeykins to her chest. Marge just looked angry.
“Why am I under arrest?” she asked, her face going read.
“The abuse of a minor.” Tonks answered her face serious.
“Abuse? To Whom?”
“Harry Potter.”
“I did not abuse that ingrate.” She exclaimed.
“Both mental and physical abuse.” Tonks clarified.
The Dursleys were so shocked at the turn their holiday had taken that they didn’t react when the Aurors brought out their wands. And by then it was too late, they were bound.
They were then immediately portkeyed to just outside Madame Bone’s office. Checking everything was in order Tonks raised her hand and knocked on the door.
