Renegades,Draco,Isadora....And Convincing Potter To See Isadora
Author's Note: While writing up my latest chapter The Weasley's I noticed a couple mistakes I had. So I revised it a little. Just a little.
December 17th
Renegade HQ
Salem, Mass
Draco stared outside, the conversations that were going around barely registering. The meeting with the Renegades had been going on for an hour now and not much has been decided. The top leaders, Aunt Lucinda, Severa, a lychan named Sindara and a few others were debating on how to deal with the current situations. They were not content in letting just the MMIA try to handle it.
It was snowing. Not unusual. When Damien and Draca came home for the holidays tomorrow they would most likely be taking advantage of it, and spend the days sharing Raven Potter's winter toys. Draco shook his head. Potter had spoiled his daughter rotten, all she had to do was smile at her father and he would give her anything. But it wasn't the same for James.
Draco frowned. Wait. At first it was. Savannah had regaled him with stories on how Potter had spoiled James from the moment he was born. The child knew how to handle a broom by the time he was 4. James never lacked for anything. He got what he wanted, especially from his mother who he still had wrapped around his fingers. Everything changed though, once Raven got sent to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin.
Draco smiled to himself. He had watched Raven grow up, befriend his own set of twins. The three of them were like Granger, Weasley and Potter. Trouble from the start. Raven's attitude was a mixture of Allesandra's, Malicia's and Potter's. She was cunning too, always trying to find out how to make a situation benefit her. He knew that Raven would end up in Slytherin.
Savannah had told him how James's attitude had certainly changed toward his sister after that. Even worse when Rivera Snape put her on the Slytherin Quidditch team.
After that Draco watched as Potter and son started becoming tense around each other. Potter had soundly put his son in his place several times. Arguments had flooded the Potter household between father and son. Apparently Potter couldn't hold to James's cold treatment to his sister. And he wouldn't tolerate it either. Savannah told him that Potter couldn't understand the friction between his two children, or how Raven could defend her older brother. Raven put up with James's coldness to a point. James's attitude certianly was not very Gryffindor of him.
"So they think it's a Meta or an Illusioner Savannah?"
"That's what Harry told Draco. After he was able to calm her down."
"I swear, I don't how Ron has survived. His mouth gets him into so much trouble."
"Gina, you're married to him, you ought to know."
The Muggle laughed. Draco rolled his eyes. He found out quickly that the Renegades welcomed whoever had skills and were willing to put them to use for them. The Muggle that Weasley had married had worked for the Muggle government. She was some sort of computer hacker, whatever that was. Savannah told him she was just good at getting information.
He didn't care. Draco didn't socialize much anymore. He was still a git, according to Weasley and Granger, but his venom had tamed down. Muggles had actually healed him after the attack on him that split him and Snape up. Muggles had been instrumental in saving his life a few times. So he had grudgingly accepted him. His father's poisonous words and views were slowly eroding, making way for Draco to make his own mind.
"I heard she made a mess in her potions room."
"Ron accused her of getting bored and going back to her favorite past times. She didn't take that to well."
Someone snorted. "I bet she didn't."
"So do we have any idea who the Meta or Illusioner is?"
"The MMIA are pulling up the records now. They have to discount the youngest. Jade Weasley's still in school and still learning."
"Right I forgot. Fred mentioned it to Ron. So who's the youngest Meta?"
"An american. She's 7."
"Well that certianly takes her off the list."
"Did you know Cassandra was a Meta?"
"Cassandra? Alle's first born? Is Malicia?"
"No. Cassandra's father was a Meta I think. I think Cassandra was a rare case in itself. It's hardly ever passed on through genes."
"Interesting. So one mental institution down, one fake Angel down. So I take it they think that this Sascha is after Angel?"
Draco turned back to the group in surprise. "I didn't hear that,"he growled. "Keeping information from me Sav?"
Savannah sighed. "I was told not to mention it. But apparently everyone now knows."
"What's Potter done with Angel then?"
"Nothing as of yet,"Gina answered. The tall,lanky brunette pushed her drink away. At first glance you wouldn't think this was a women who had married, gave birth to 5 kids, been widowed while pregnant with the fifth, then got married two years after,adopted her new husband's child and then had three more kids. And once again pregnant. Draco heard that she had a fit finding out she was pregnant once again and had threatened to fix Ron if it happened again. Draco still found it hard to believe that Weasley wasn't living in poverty. Of course that probably came from Gina's side for she had inherited tons of money as Savannah had claimed when her parents died when she was 10.
"Why?"
"Maybe because he figures she can handle herself?"
"Or maybe because he still has some more decoys and he hopes that this Sascha will get to them first?" Draco countered.
Gina's hazel eyes narrowed. "Are you accusing Potter of not having a conscience? Of not caring about the people he had promised to protect are dying?"
"No. Not accusing."Draco sat down in his chair.
"Enough Draco. If you want to get into some sort of fight, go challenge Harry. He'd probably like to be given the chance to kick your ass the Muggle way,"Gina said loftily.
"Harassing Potter isn't satisfying anymore."
Gina rolled her eyes. "Well I'm going to change the subject. Draca and Damien coming home for the holidays?"
Savannah nodded. "And I hear that the Weasley's plan on coming over to your place this time for a get together?"
Gina groaned theatrically. "Oh gods yes. Fred and George are bringing their daughters, Bill's bringing his five sons, Charlie and his brood of six are coming, Ron and my brats of course, his american relatives which will be about twenty. Thank god I have room."
Savannah frowned. "Wait. What about Percy's daughter Noreen?"
Gina's eyes darkened for a moment. "She's following in her late father's footsteps," the woman said darkly. Draco contemplated that tid bit. From what he had learned, Percy Weasley never had the chance to reconcile with his family...even if he had wanted too. He had gotten married to the Clearwater girl he dated in Hogwarts during the second war and then when their daughter was six months old, both her parents were murdered by Draco's father. Noreen had been raised by Penelope's family, visiting her father's family mainly during the holidays.
"So she decided the Weasley's are a hindrance to her?"Savannah asked quietly.
"She took off her father's name and took back Clearwater. Said that the Weasley name was holding her back."Gina scoffed. "From what I was told Percy was a fool...and apparently so is his daughter."
"Shame. So which of your kids goes where?"
Gina laughed. "Astrid and Dayna are out of magic school now. Astrid is interning at St. Mungo's and Dayna is apprenticing at the Greenland School of Potions. Regina and Sebastian go to Hogwarts. Halley will be going to Hogwarts next year."
"You left out a few others,"Draco pointed out.
Gina glared at the blonde. "My other children are not wizards or witches. They go to ordinary muggle school."
"Ah."
"So what have you got planned for Draca and Damien?"
"Not much. I have a feeling Draca and Damien are going to end up spending most of their time with Raven. Draco already got their presents. Mali and I are going shopping tomorrow."
"Draco?"
The group stopped talking as his Aunt Lucinda had approached the table.
"Yes?"
"Allesandra wishes to speak to you."
~~~~~~~~~~
Draco stared at the wall. It had been a half hour since Aunt Lucinda had guided him into Alle's private room. And Alle still hadn't shown up.
"She's not going to."A soft voice whispered. Draco stiffened. Isadora.
Turning around, Draco proved himself right as he stared at his extremely great grandmother. Isadora was at least 1000 years old. Isadora's white blonde hair was pulled back into a twist and her pale skin had a slow flush to it, indicating that she had fed. Her black eyes watched him warily. If you couldn't tell who was a vampire, Draco had learned, all you had to do was look at their eyes. They were either black with no pupils,like Allesandra, or a pale shade of yellow.
"I told Lucinda to tell you that Alle wished to speak to you. But it was me."
"No need to play games Isadora."
"No? Even after our last meeting in which you told me if you ever saw me again you would stake me?"
Draco paused. Shit. He knew she'd remember that. 23 years and still remembered. "I was angry."he said softly. "I thought you had betrayed me."
"Not hard was it for you to think that?" Isadora waved a pale hand. "After all you're parents betrayed you. I guess you expected it in the end. I did what was right Draco. What happened was a test on your resolve."
"You mean you deliberately planted the idea for me to kill Dumbledore in Voldemort's head to test my resolve? To see if I was worthy of being a Malfoy?" Draco asked incredously. He still found the situation unbelievable. It had been revealed to him, that Isadora had pretended loyalty to Voldemort for several years, finally suggesting to him after Lucius was sent to Azkaban after the debacle in the Department of Mysteries to put him in a position to kill Dumbledore.
Draco didn't succeed in that though. And Isadora was counting on it. When she told him about her plan, she had said that she wanted to see if Draco would bend to Voldemort as his father had. She wanted to test him, to see if he was truly worthy of being a Malfoy. In Isadora's mind a Malfoy did not serve anyone. They did not let anyone use them as a doormat. A Malfoy was to be served. A Malfoy was not be used. And in her mind Lucius had besmirched, destroyed the name of Malfoy by bending to someone else.
Draco hadn't killed Dumbledore. Even if Snape and the others hadn't come he would of backed down. He had seen the greatness in Dumbledore finally. He seen the truth. And in the end he had eventually helped Potter track down Snape. Isadora had told him years afterwards that his actions proved to her that he was a true Malfoy. And then gave him the Malfonna Chest.
He still hadn't believed it at the time. The Chest of Marianna Malfonna. One of the greatest witches to have lived. She had gathered several important artifacts and placed them in a chest that had been given to a family member that have proved himself to be loyal to the Malfonna ways. It was then tradition to hand the chest over to a new member every generation who proved themselves. And each member was to put an artifact of importance in it.
Of course Isadora never did it. After her fall from grace(She had decided to become a vampire willingly, had even sought out the one who sired her and demanded it) she decided to never hand the Chest over. Especially since in her mind, her children she had before she became a vampire did nothing worthy to deserve it. And the unworthiness continued for several generations, eventually turning into a story of myth for the Malfoy family. No one had laid eyes on it...until she gave it to Draco.
"You still have not opened it?" She questioned, drawing his mind back to her.
"No."
"Why not?"
Draco shrugged. Truth be told he didn't want to.
"It has your history in it. The truth behind the Malfoy family. The legends that spread. Our history is in that chest. I continued to add to it until I gave it to you."
"Why are you here Isadora? Surely not to lecture me on the Chest?"
Isadora huffed. "You need to set up a meeting between me and Potter. He is hard to get too.... and despite his willingness to meet with vampires he refuses to be in the same room with me."
"You did almost kill him."Draco pointed out.
"I hadn't fed for six months! And I was wounded! I lost a lot of blood. If it had been you who stumbled across me I would of fed from you as well!" Isadora snapped.
Draco couldn't help it. He burst out laughing.
Potter's Home- 20 Minutes Later
"No."
"Potter."
"I said no."
"Potter."
"No Malfoy."
A sigh. "Potter."
"How many times do I have to tell you?" A book was slammed down on a table. "The answer is no."
"You're an ass."
"Takes one to know one."
"I see. So we've passed second year have we?"
Mali looked over the top of her book to catch Savannah's eye. Both women made choking gestures, and Mali went back to reading her book while Savannah perused the Potter library.
"Fuck man, all she wants to do is talk."
"No."
"Talk. Potter she wants to talk. Not to feed off you."
"She can send me an owl. I don't need to talk to her."
"You certainly aren't being very Gryffindorish right now."
"I don't give a right shit."
Something hit her. Or landed on her bare feet. Mali lowered the book to see a balled up piece of paper inbetween her feet. Reaching down she uncrumpled it. ~Will they ever grow up?~
~Not bloody likely~Malicia thought. She looked up at her friend and shook her head.
"Wimp."
"Fuck you."
"Do you kiss your wife with that mouth?"
Savannah coughed and Malicia held herself back from laughing. Watching their husbands battle each other was always amusing.
"I don't get it Potter. You've been in a room with some of the most vicious vampires without breaking a sweat. You have been in battle with some of them. You've been in the company of several hungry vampires who hadn't fed for days and didn't even worry about the possibility that they might bite you. But you actually refuse to put yourself in a room with a 1000 year old vampire who's history is actually quite tame and boring. Just because she bit you. What the hell is wrong with you?"
"Nothing."
"Bullshit."
"Merlin man, you get into an all out brawl with Darius, a four thousand year old vampire who killed ten death eaters in twenty minutes, and survive the damn thing, and then two days later you two are joking and laughing. But you won't meet Isadora?"
"Sure, bring that up."
"I'll bring up more you git."
"Malfoy."
"How about the time you took one three vampires from the Clan of Malek? You know the ones that are tehcnically insane and full of bloodlust?"
"In case I remember correctly someone spiked my drink with a Reckless potion."
"Oh sure blame your stupidity on someone else. But you still survived it. Meet with her Potter."
"Malfoy."
"What Potter?"
"Malfoy, get out."
"No."
"Get out or I'll toss you out the door."
"Fucking try it Golden Boy."
"Ah..we've passed third year."
"Potter."
"Piss of Draco.
Silence. Someone coughed.
"Excuse me Potter? Did you just call me by my birth name?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Get out."
"Nice try. I'm not going."
Malicia snorted, turning a page from the book she was reading. Savannah and Draco had stopped by after the Renegade meeting was over with and once again Draco and Harry were arguing. Apparently Isadora wanted Draco to convince Harry to meet with her.
"Come on Mali, tell your husband to meet with Isa. Otherwise she's going to keep on harassing me until he does."
Mali closed her book, but didn't move from the couch. "Harry this won't be like last time. She won't be injured or hungry. And she did apologize when you came to...three days later. Several times."
Harry scowled. That one incident with Isadora had stayed in his mind. He had easily been in the company of other vampires during the war without problems...but that one night. Harry had gone after Isadora after he heard she was following up on some sort of obscure tip that ended up being a trap.
Voldemort did some serious damage to her and when Harry found her, she had been unable to resist the temptation and sank her teeth in him. Because of her, he had to rest for several days since she took a lot of his blood. More than what was required. And after that, even though he was at ease with the other vampires, he could not be with Isadora.
"Harry."
Harry turned to face his wife. She chuckled at the look of misery on his face. "Oh wipe that mopey look off your face. You're as bad as your son when you want sympathy. She wants to talk Harry. Maybe it's about Sascha. Who knows? I think it's time you put the past with her behind you and try to find some middle ground. What happened, happened. She did was part of her nature and you need to finally forgive her for that."
"Fine."Harry gritted his teeth. "Have her come here."
Draco stared at the two of them baffled.
"Oh this is rich. Potter's heeled by the wife. The Boy Who Lived, tamed by his wife. Bet the rags would love this."
"Draco?"Savannah piped up.
"Yes?"
"Do you want to get laid in the near future?"
"Yes."
"Then shut up or the bed will be very cold for the next couple months."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thank you for meeting me."
"Don't thank me. Thank my wife,"Harry eased down into a chair. He had decided to use the living room to talk to Isadora, while Draco, Savannah and Mali were outside on the balconey.
Isadora nodded and she settled down in a chair opposite him. "I understand that you don't really want me here, but I had to insist. And I was hoping you could put the past behind you."
Harry shifted. He was being an ass. Mali told him often enough he needed to learn how to forgive for mistakes being made. "Fine. Just as long as we don't cross each other's path when you're hungry."
"Point taken. And I'm glad you decided to do this now. I was hoping to get it out of the way before you're children came."
"I'm sure Raven will make it a point to visit you,"Harry said gruffly. "She always does find a way to escape the Curfew Enforcers."
"Anyways, I'm here to talk to you about Sascha."
Harry sat up. "What do you know?"
"I spoke with Angel earlier."
"How?"
"You're the one that lets her have the privilege of keeping in contact with the outside world. She contacted me. I went. We talked."
"About what?"
"Another vision."
Harry sighed. "I should start seeing her every day. In situations like these, she would be more helpful than the fucking people at the MMIA."
"Psychics usually are."
"So what does she have to offer?"
"Harry, she said Sascha is connected to Voldemort. She's connected to both wars. That you, Mali, Allesandra, Hermione, Ron, nearly everyone involved with the war were connected to her. You fought her during the war Harry."
Harry frowned. "She must of slipped through the cracks after Voldemort's defeat. I tracked down every Death Eater that had lived through it. She must of somehow slipped through everything."
"Indeed she did."

"Fuck man, all she wants to do is talk."
"No."
"Talk. Potter she wants to talk. Not to feed off you."
"She can send me an owl. I don't need to talk to her."
"You certainly aren't being very Gryffindorish right now."
"I don't give a right shit."
Something hit her. Or landed on her bare feet. Mali lowered the book to see a balled up piece of paper inbetween her feet. Reaching down she uncrumpled it. ~Will they ever grow up?~
~Not bloody likely~Malicia thought. She looked up at her friend and shook her head.
"Wimp."
"Fuck you."
"Do you kiss your wife with that mouth?"
Savannah coughed and Malicia held herself back from laughing. Watching their husbands battle each other was always amusing.
"I don't get it Potter. You've been in a room with some of the most vicious vampires without breaking a sweat. You have been in battle with some of them. You've been in the company of several hungry vampires who hadn't fed for days and didn't even worry about the possibility that they might bite you. But you actually refuse to put yourself in a room with a 1000 year old vampire who's history is actually quite tame and boring. Just because she bit you. What the hell is wrong with you?"
"Nothing."
"Bullshit."
"Merlin man, you get into an all out brawl with Darius, a four thousand year old vampire who killed ten death eaters in twenty minutes, and survive the damn thing, and then two days later you two are joking and laughing. But you won't meet Isadora?"
"Sure, bring that up."
"I'll bring up more you git."
"Malfoy."
"How about the time you took one three vampires from the Clan of Malek? You know the ones that are tehcnically insane and full of bloodlust?"
"In case I remember correctly someone spiked my drink with a Reckless potion."
"Oh sure blame your stupidity on someone else. But you still survived it. Meet with her Potter."
"Malfoy."
"What Potter?"
"Malfoy, get out."
"No."
"Get out or I'll toss you out the door."
"Fucking try it Golden Boy."
"Ah..we've passed third year."
"Potter."
"Piss of Draco.
Silence. Someone coughed.
"Excuse me Potter? Did you just call me by my birth name?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Get out."
"Nice try. I'm not going."
Malicia snorted, turning a page from the book she was reading. Savannah and Draco had stopped by after the Renegade meeting was over with and once again Draco and Harry were arguing. Apparently Isadora wanted Draco to convince Harry to meet with her.
"Come on Mali, tell your husband to meet with Isa. Otherwise she's going to keep on harassing me until he does."
Mali closed her book, but didn't move from the couch. "Harry this won't be like last time. She won't be injured or hungry. And she did apologize when you came to...three days later. Several times."
Harry scowled. That one incident with Isadora had stayed in his mind. He had easily been in the company of other vampires during the war without problems...but that one night. Harry had gone after Isadora after he heard she was following up on some sort of obscure tip that ended up being a trap.
Voldemort did some serious damage to her and when Harry found her, she had been unable to resist the temptation and sank her teeth in him. Because of her, he had to rest for several days since she took a lot of his blood. More than what was required. And after that, even though he was at ease with the other vampires, he could not be with Isadora.
"Harry."
Harry turned to face his wife. She chuckled at the look of misery on his face. "Oh wipe that mopey look off your face. You're as bad as your son when you want sympathy. She wants to talk Harry. Maybe it's about Sascha. Who knows? I think it's time you put the past with her behind you and try to find some middle ground. What happened, happened. She did was part of her nature and you need to finally forgive her for that."
"Fine."Harry gritted his teeth. "Have her come here."
Draco stared at the two of them baffled.
"Oh this is rich. Potter's heeled by the wife. The Boy Who Lived, tamed by his wife. Bet the rags would love this."
"Draco?"Savannah piped up.
"Yes?"
"Do you want to get laid in the near future?"
"Yes."
"Then shut up or the bed will be very cold for the next couple months."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thank you for meeting me."
"Don't thank me. Thank my wife,"Harry eased down into a chair. He had decided to use the living room to talk to Isadora, while Draco, Savannah and Mali were outside on the balconey.
Isadora nodded and she settled down in a chair opposite him. "I understand that you don't really want me here, but I had to insist. And I was hoping you could put the past behind you."
Harry shifted. He was being an ass. Mali told him often enough he needed to learn how to forgive for mistakes being made. "Fine. Just as long as we don't cross each other's path when you're hungry."
"Point taken. And I'm glad you decided to do this now. I was hoping to get it out of the way before you're children came."
"I'm sure Raven will make it a point to visit you,"Harry said gruffly. "She always does find a way to escape the Curfew Enforcers."
"Anyways, I'm here to talk to you about Sascha."
Harry sat up. "What do you know?"
"I spoke with Angel earlier."
"How?"
"You're the one that lets her have the privilege of keeping in contact with the outside world. She contacted me. I went. We talked."
"About what?"
"Another vision."
Harry sighed. "I should start seeing her every day. In situations like these, she would be more helpful than the fucking people at the MMIA."
"Psychics usually are."
"So what does she have to offer?"
"Harry, she said Sascha is connected to Voldemort. She's connected to both wars. That you, Mali, Allesandra, Hermione, Ron, nearly everyone involved with the war were connected to her. You fought her during the war Harry."
Harry frowned. "She must of slipped through the cracks after Voldemort's defeat. I tracked down every Death Eater that had lived through it. She must of somehow slipped through everything."
"Indeed she did."
