Cracking the Gold

Author\'s Note: *smiles at Fefs review* Will they fall in love? Isn\'t that the wonderful question of life? Will anyone ever fall in love? *giggles* I\'ll tell everyone the exact same thing I told fef in a e-mail.

Actually, I won\'t put it here. I\'ll put it at the bottom with the replies to reviews I\'ve missed. Sorry for the delay, and I may not be able to answer many with more than \'thanks for the review\'. ^^;

Harry\'s eyes widened and his head lifted slightly, but not much. His arms tried to pull free, weakly failing. He panted at the sensations, wondering what the hell was going on, but--loving it at the same time...?


Draco was indeed purring as he fed, eyes gone half-closed, still holding Harry\'s wrists tightly, not about to give him any leverage, finding that it was mostly for Harry\'s safety and not his own.


Harry felt an odd tingling sensation sweep over his body within a second, causeing his eyes to fall shut. He gasped sharply, trying to struggle from the grasps, trying to use his body as extra leverage, but all he found it was getting him was nowhere. He panted softly, suddenly relaxing again into it all with a soft moan, his hands balling and un clenching from fists.


It was a few long moments before Draco finally drew away, lapping at the mark he\'d left, letting it heal itself, sucking at his lower lip a moment to savor the taste of the former Golden Boy. He arched a brow slightly as he drew away completely, still keeping his hold of Harry\'s wrists, \"Feeling alright pet?\"


Harry slumped backwards onto Malfoy, eyes closed and lips parted. His chest was rising and falling rapidly, and he seemed to be...looking a fair bit like he did when he was walked in on in the bathroom. Minus the open robe.


Draco chuckled softly, petting Harry\'s arms almost gently, tongue flicking out over his lower lip once more, he found that he quite enjoyed the taste of the other man and didn\'t want to give it up so easily.


Harry swallowed thickly, opening his eyes to look at Draco. What was going on? He knew this was all wrong in some way or another, that Draco shouldn\'t be looking at him like that, that he shouldn\'t be allowing him to do it--yet why couldn\'t he pull himself away?


Draco was still purring softly as he continued to pet Harry\'s arms, \"The woozy feeling will pass pet. Just give it time.\" He smirked faintly, \"It\'s a good thing you ate first.\"


Harry blinked again and again, feeling...like he was flying without a broom in some ways. He closed his eyes, trying to shake the dizziness. He shocked himself when he heard his lips form a soft \'wow...\'


He chuckled at that, fingers trailing through the other man\'s hair lightly, \"Don\'t let yourself get lost in it pet.\"


Harry swallowed and shook his head, trying to sit up quickly. His conscience, or something, was nagging at him. \'This isn\'t right. You shouldn\'t do this. Run. Don\'t let him trick you. He\'ll kill you. DON\'T ENJOY IT!\" He closed his eyes, clenching them shut. He felt like they were shouting at him, and he almost thought he felt his scar tingle, but it wasn\'t that which was tingling.


Draco arched a brow slightly at this, still trailing his fingers through the other\'s hair, finally going so far as to trace the line of Harry\'s scar with the tip of a finger.


Harry seemed to stiffen at this. No one had ever touched his scar before. He wasn\'t sure what to make of it. Part of him wanted to lay over onto Malfoy, the other part was screaming at him to run. Another section told him to just stay frozen.


Draco half smiled at that reaction, deciding that he quite liked it, continuing to just pet the mark lightly for a moment, \"Feeling any better now pet?\"


Harry nodded slightly, swallowing as his eyes fell closed. God that felt good... He relaxed, leaning his head backwards, leaning a bit sideways to Malfoy.


Draco\'s smirk only spread, whether he knew it or not, Harry was little by little falling under his sway, which was the only way to have things.


Harry ended up slowly leaning onto Malfoy, unknowingly until he was right against him. Harry then stammered, and sat up again, blushing and pulling the robes down over his lap again. He felt dizzy but it was fading, as was something else, but he wasn\'t sure.


Draco chucklekd again at that, nodding once, \"I\'ll make sure and get the houselves to cook spinach for dinner, you\'ll need the iron.\" He smiled, \"Mn, creamed apricots for dessert I think.\"


Harry made a face. That sounded absolutely disgusting. He slowly began to feel slightly choked up in the throat, anxious. But his mind was still spinning.


Draco tilted his head, brow arching at the other man, \"Something the matter pet? Don\'t like spinach? Or don\'t like apricots?\"


Neither really. He didn\'t say anything though. He felt as if if he would talk, he would snap at the other, or try to hit him and run. He was really confused...He didn\'t want to be here, yet he really did...


Draco\'s brow arched further, \"I\'d suggest actually responding when I speak to you pet. Especially when I ask you questions.


\"Fuck off Malfoy.\" Whoa. Had he just said that? Uh oh.... He stood. he felt like he were a programmed robot or a puppet. He wasn\'t thinking about what he was doing, just--doing.


He laughed aloud then, unfolding to his feet, he had been taller than the other man since their third year, and perhaps before that, \"Are you sure that\'s what you want pet?\"


\"Fuck off...\" He glared at Malfoy, but didn\'t move. He felt binded there when he looked at Malfoy. He clenched his fists together and apart, as if waiting for a chance to hit him.


He chuckled, it was a low, throaty, somehow sinister sound, closing the space between them and snaking an arm around Harry\'s waist again, head dipping to lay thorough, biting claim to the other man\'s mouth. Not hard enough to break skin, but enough to do more than sting.


Harry\'s eyes clenched shut in disgust, his hands raising in attempts to shove Malfoy away, but it wasn\'t his full strength. Something int he back of his head told him he liked it, but he quickly tied and gaged it, locking it away.


Draco drew away after a moment, sucking hard at the other\'s lower lip as he did so, releasing it only reluctantly, \"Now pet, you can\'t have it both ways.\"


Harry exhaled slowly when Draco released his lip, but he shook his head. This wasn\'t right. Nothing was right.


Draco\'s brow arched, studying the brunette once more, \"You have to make up your mind pet. Either you want to wait until after dinner, or you want me to fuck off. You can\'t have both.\"


Harry\'s eyes narrowed. \"Get stuffed you git.\" He turned and paced to the door, not looking back. He didn\'t have to take shit from Malfoy of all people. He didn\'t know what had gotten into him earlier, but he was over it. No more.


Draco sighed, giving a flick and twist of his fingers, the collar instantly back in place around Harry\'s neck. He gave it a sharp yank, brow arching.


Harry nearly choked when he found the collar suddenly back on him, and yanked. The force of the yank pulled him backwards at the neck, landing him on his back sharply. His face scrunched up in pain as he hit the floor, laying there for a moment, not moving.


Draco sighed heavily as he strode over, prodding the other man\'s shoulder with the toe of a boot, \"Now. Perhaps we should go over this again. I, am a Malfoy and one of Lord Voldemort\'s most trusted. You are my pet to do with as I please. Are we clear?\"


Harry groaned, rolling onto his shoulder t begin pushing himself up with one arm. \"...get...stuffed...\" Yes, it had hurt, but he wasn\'t about to let that get to him. He needed out, to toss away that voice inthe back of his head.


Draco sighed again, a very put upon sigh as he simply kicked Harry\'s arm out from under him, \"I\'m not in the habit of leaving marks on my pets.\" His smile went twisted, \"Which just means I\'ll have to heal anything visible when I\'m done.\"


Harry growled as he hit the floor, half having anticipated it. He got his one good shot in on Malfoy. He swung his legs around and kicked Malfoy\'s knees, sending him to the ground, hopefully off guard. It was his one hit, and probably the only hit he\'d ever get.


Draco snarled as he toppled, landing heavily on his knees, he jerked the lead taught again before rising, keeping it at the same tension, which would either drag Harry to his feet or very nearly permanently imbed the spikes into his throat.


Again with the choking. Only Harry\'s eyes nearly bulged from his head as the air was very nearly cut off as he was jerked upward to his knees, and his eyes glazed over with a low, sharp gasp as the spikes pierced into his skin. He had no retaliate, he just knelt there, head back, mouth open in shock and his eyes closed. All he could feel was the pain washing over him.


Draco smirked as he let the lead go slack once more, leaning close, \"I\'ll ask again. Are we clear on where you stand pet?\"


Harry fell forward to the ground, tense and feeling as if every spike was embedded into his neck. He didn\'t answer, but he understood, for then. He rasped for air weakly, trying to hide it as he pulled the bottom of his robes down slowly.


Draco\'s smile spread, drumming his fingers against the band of leather still in his hand, \"And that\'s another thing. I let you dress so that you wouldn\'t be ogled by others. There are no others here now, only you and I.\" another flick of his wand and the outerrobe vanished. He debated a moment before giving another flick, causing the underrobe to twist, shifting itself to some combination of sarong and loincloth, \"Much better.\"

Nice chapter. Although Draco’s chuckling is annoying. I cannot really see him as a person who chuckles all the time.

Harry\'s robes sound beautiful. Is Draco going to use Harry as a sex slave? If so, please do not make him rape Harry. Make Draco gentle to Harry please, at least in bed.

I\'m sorry you don\'t like cliffies. :) I always try to end with one--so be warned. As far as I know, Draco will not rape Harry, unless my partner changes something drastically. I will have to admit the enjoyment factor on this story is truly lost when you see the next chapter up and get all excited to find that there really wasnt anything written anyway. This chapter was so short that I felt as though the author was having a laugh at our expense.

In reading the authors note I might well add that this is a great story. I do think that the chapters are quite small and that goes hand in hand with the fact that you are writing in such a way that your readers are anxiously awaiting the next installment and when it is too short we end up disappointed. Keep up the great work and try to let your writing flow from you and let your imagination go and stop worrying about weather you writing in a particular style that someone might like or not like, just have fun and if people are interested they will come along for the ride. Just give us full chapters because I cant wait until you update again. Keep up the great work! Tally ho

Wow.. and now comes the good part!! This chapter was the best ever!! Everything started there and it was the longest one!! Oh.. i\'m starting to love this fic now!! I can\'t even start telling you what was great about this.. The potion idea is great since otherwise Harry wouldn\'t be so acceptive. The part that Draco were feeding him was kinda of sexy cute (i didn\'t even know something could be both, but now you enligheted me!). ^-^ Thanks. I think that the chapters will possibly be more like that last one. Sexy cute is fun. I thought it was brilliant. I love writing with someone else. She has he own ideas that she tries to lead it towards, and I have mine. The hardest part is trying to keep them in character! X_X

And I\'m rather surprised at Draco\'s restraints as well. More so as he had *yet* to take him in how far ahead we\'ve rped. *ninja* Or has he?

Will they love eachother in the future...? Hmm. How to answer. Well, what do you want? It\'s not going to influence the story at all mind you... :-P but I\'d like to know. Can love be blossomed from a captive and his \'master\'? Can it flourish from dark times to find comfort in each other? Or will it be a forbidden, hated love that neither will ever profess for real? Or perhaps, it is one sided? Perhaps not htere at all. Perhaps Draco just needs the source of food at hand, or perhaps he just enjoys seeing the Golden Boy writher.

I know what you mean about stories though. If something\'s changed and you completely believed that it would go one way and it doesn\'t it\'s frustrating. And I praise you for mentioning the different ways to read things. Lol. I thought I was the only one who read things differently. lol. I\'m hoping the kink mind will always be reading, but that the little romance one will poke out every once in a while. ^-^

Nice chapter. Does \"Cracking the Gold\" mean that Draco is cracking Harry The Golden Boy? The story would be more interesting if Draco tried to crack Harry and got instead cracked by Harry in some subtle unnoticeable way.

Can\'t wait for chapter 11. Almost like Draco is trying to tame him. I\'m glad Harry\'s still got his fire but he might want to choose his battles better. I think they could fall in love with one another. But only after Draco gets his revenge and things settle down. Maybe someone tries to take his \"pet\" away and it makes Draco realize how he feels. Or someone brings it to his attention. No matter what you decide, I\'ll definately keep reading!
