Chapter 10: A New Relationship

A week and a bit had gone by since Sarah had called it off with Draco. She did feel sad about it but she couldn’t help it. What was she supposed to do run around all happy? She had broken up with the guy that she had loved since last year. But she knew she had to move on and she was doing the best she could.
Actually she was really starting to like Ron. She had become really close to him and he was always nice to her. She knew that he liked her it was extremely obvious plus Harry had told her when they were having a little chat once Ron had left her alone. But no matter who Sarah was with her heart would always be with Draco.


Sarah was on her way to the library to do some home work with Ron. They had been paired together for a divination project. She walked through the hallways on her own not seeing much students walk by.
“Sarah!” Someone called. Sarah knew that voice. She could never forget it, but she kept walking.
“Malfoy I said stay away from me.” Sarah snarled.
“No.” Draco grabbed her hand. “I didn’t cheat on you.”
“You did Draco. Don’t lie about it. The guilt was all over your face.” Sarah pulled her arm away from Draco.
“Sarah, please.” Draco kept following her. Sarah’s heart was beginning to hurt. She wanted to believe him but she knew she couldn’t. She stopped walking and pulled out her wand.
“I SAID IF YOU COME NEAR ME AGAIN I’LL KILL YOU!” Sarah screamed. Draco stopped moving. Sarah watched as Draco’s face fell into a deep frown. “Please just don’t make this any harder for me.” Sarah whispered.
“Please.”
“No, I can’t.” Sarah turned around and walked off. She felt bad but had to get over it quick. She walked into the library and saw Ron. Her mood change entirely and she was happy. She watched as Ron chucked sweets into his mouth. “Ronald you are going to get in trouble.” Sarah walked towards Ron.
“Ah!” Ron dropped all of his sweets on the ground. “Sarah!” Ron looked down at his sweets and frowned.
“Better pick them up.” Sarah laughed. Ron always made her laugh. sat sat down at the table as Ron bent down and picked up all his dirty sweets. “So Ronald tell me why you, a prefect is breaking the school rules?” Ron looked up at Sarah.
“Are you going to dob me in?” Ron looked a little frightened.
“Absolutely… not.” Sarah chuckled.
“Oh good.” Ron put the sweets in his pocket and sat down next to Sarah.
“How long have you been waiting?” Sarah asked.
“10 minutes.” Ron replied.
“Good, not to long.” Sarah opened her books and read what homework she had to do. “Have you had any dreams lately?”
“Um, ah.” Ron didn’t know what to say. “Quidditch.”
“Ok.” Sarah wrote in her book. “You sure you’ve just dreamed about Quidditch?”
“No.” Ron shook his head.
“Well?”
“Um, you.” Ron whispered.
“Huh?” Sarah didn’t hear him.
“You.”
“Oh.” Sarah turned bright red. “Are they bad ones? Am I a gruelingly ugly woman putting hexes on everyone?” Sarah tried to make a joke out of it.
“No.” Ron shook his head.
“Well that’s good.” Sarah smile. She closed her book and turned to Ron. “Ron?” Sarah looked at his bright red ears.
“Yeah.”
“I guess that we have established that you like me.” Ron nodded. “And I like you.” Ron stared at her.
“O-o-ok.” Ron turned in to a bumbling idiot.
“Maybe you would like to you know go out with me?” Sarah didn’t really find this to be as hard as she thought it was.
“YES!” Ron squeaked. Sarah burst out laughing.
“You are so funny.” Sarah leaned over to kiss Ron’s cheek, but he turned around and their lips touched. There was a pause for a moment. Then Sarah slipped her tongue into Ron’s mouth. They both kissed for a while, and then Sarah pulled away. “You’re a good kisser.”
“Thanks.” Ron reddened.
“How about we go for a little walk?” Sarah suggested.
“Sure.”

Sarah and Ron walked into the great hall side by side.
“I’ll see you later Ron.” Sarah smiled.
“Absolutely.” Ron nodded. Sarah kissed him lightly and walked over to the Slytherin table. She saw Draco staring at her.
“What are you doing?” Draco hissed.
“I don’t know what you’re on about.”
“Bullocks Sarah. You can’t date a Gryffindor, let alone a Weasley!”
“Well I am!” Sarah stated. “And in case you have forgotten we are not together anymore because you, Draco Malfoy cheated on me with the ugliest slut in the whole of Slytherin. She’s worse then Millicent!”
“I DID NOT!!”
“You did.” Sarah decided to ignore him.

Hermione stared at Ron in awe.
“What?” Ron stared at her back.
“You got her?” Harry grinned.
“Actually she got me.”
“I can’t believe this Ron. You can’t fiddle with fate.” Hermione snapped.
“This is fate! Malfoy and Sarah aren’t supposed to be together.” Ron spat. Harry watched on. Ron and Hermione always fought.
“Fine, fine, FINE! You can be with her now. you just watch she’ll take Draco back.”
“Ok Hermione I will.”
