10!!!!!
***Okay, first off, I love you Keikokin. Okay, so I actually ended it after the 11th chapter, but I can see what I can do to write more...here ya go!
The week was up before we knew it. I said good-bye to Ron and Hermione, promising to visit soon, and with an almost giddiness, started to London with Draco. Nothing could go wrong. I had the perfect job. A boyfriend I loved. And it was sunny out, unseasonably warm. Everything was going right. Which is why I should have known it would all fall apart.
We weren’t in London two days before I got an owl requesting my immediate return to Hogwarts. I left Draco at the flat we had picked out. He was going to go to his house, pick up his clothes, his wand, and officially move in. I got to Hogwarts early Monday morning.
“Professor Potter?” A rather tiny 2nd year asked. She looked a lot like Ginny Weasley, red hair, freckles, and incredibly shy.
“Yes Molly?”
“Someone’s waiting in your office.” Her cheeks turned brighter, “they told me to come get you as soon as you arrived.”
Nodding, I started towards my office. I recognized the bright red hair immediately. “Fred?”
Standing, he turned towards me and grinned, “Fred.” He hugged me tight. “Good to see you’re alive Harry. Ron told me about you and Draco. Can’t say I wasn’t surprised.”
“Everyone was, including Draco and I.” I led him over to a chair and sat down in front of him, “so why are you here Fred?”
“Just worried Harry. I’ve always been fond of you, and I don’t want to...make any mistakes.”
I frowned deeply, “I’m happier than I ever have been Fred. And I appreciate your concern, but I don’t need, or want it.” Narrowing my eyes, I leaned a little closer, “It’s been quite a while since you left me Fred. You obviously weren’t concerned for my emotional welfare then, were you?”
Laughing, he grinned, “you always were a sharp one Harry. I’m sorry. Lets just go have a couple’a drinks at Hogsmeade.”
“I have classes today, so I can meet you there after my last class. I’ll owl Draco to let him know so he can meet us.”
Raising an eyebrow, Fred smirked, “right. Draco. Around four then?”
“Four it is. Have a nice afternoon Fred.” With that I stood and sat at the desk, picking up random papers. It had been a hard breakup between Fred and I.
We had been such good friends before we ever thought of going out. I still remembered the day he kissed me for the first time. He had been so sure and confident of himself. Not bothering to ask if I were gay. Just grabbing me and laying a long, slow kiss on my lips.
It
It was odd having Fred around, and George being somewhere else. They had been so inseparable during school. So obviously I was surprised when Ron told me I was the only thing to ever come between them. Fred wanted to spend time with me alone, and George missed Fred. But I guess everything worked out in the end.
The day Fred told me it was over I felt like my stomach had been ripped out. My heart was broken. I was angry. It seemed that Fred and Oliver had more in common. They were more ‘right’ for each other than we could ever be. After that I gave up on trying to find someone and came to the conclusion that I was destined to be alone.
Around two that afternoon I started missing Draco desperately. Classes were going too slow. The students seemed as restless as I was. My dearly loved Professor Snape snapped at me in the hallways. And Headmaster McGonagall chided me for being a little late from lunch and keeping my students waiting. I was proud to know she was headmaster, but she was so much stricter than Dumbledore ever was.
Finally it was time to meet Fred and Draco at Hogsmeade. Fred was inside. He obviously had been drinking already. A grin was plastered to his face. He pulled me into a hug. “Good to see you ‘re so punctual.” I watched him smirk, looking over my shoulder. Then suddenly he was kissing me hard. His lips were bruising. His hands roaming down over my arse, clutching me to him.
Hearing the surprised gasp I fought. But it was too late. Draco had already turned and ran out the door. I glared at Fred, “what in the hell are you doing Fred,” but didn’t wait for an answer.
I was ready to run after Draco and explain the whole thing when Fred grabbed my arm, “Harry don’t leave. I miss you. We were good together. Draco’s nothing. He’s slime. He couldn’t ever care for you the way I do.”
Before I thought my fist connected to Fred’s jaw. He fell, surprised. I was so angry I could hardly speak. “Draco loves me, and I love him. If you ever come near me again it’ll be the last thing you do.”
It was too late to find which way Draco had gone, so I headed back towards the flat, hoping he might have gone back there. I had to find him somehow. Explain, if he didn’t curse me first. I could only imagine the anger and hurt that was going through him. “Harry? Harry Potter?”
I turned to the voice. My body drained of emotion. “Dudley?”
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t my long lost cousin. How are you?” I didn’t like the gleam in his eye. It reminded me so much of Voldemort that I nearly shuddered.
“Actually I have to go now. It was nice running into you.” I tried to step past him, but it was useless. The streets were dead on this side of town. And I noticed that Dudley was wearing a police uniform. Suddenly I knew I had to get the hell out of there. Go back to Hogsmeade where there were plenty of people.
“What are you doing?”
“Looking for my boyfriend.” Oops…his face turned red. Pure disgust dripped from him.
“I always knew there was something sick about you. Other than the obvious, freak.” Suddenly he was grabbing me. His hands wrapping around my throat. Everything seemed darker. I gasped for air. This couldn’t be it. Not after finally finding everything I always wanted. Not after falling in love and finally feeling free.
Everything faded.
The world went black.
*****Did I kill Harry? You\'ll just have to read and find out...cause maybe I did...or maybe I didn\'t...or maybe I did...you get the picture. READ!!! The floaty bunny head commands it...(by the way, I\'m doped up on Nyquil right now...so sorry for the oddness)
