Chapter I
~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~
A solitary wizard crept up toward the great oak doors to the front of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They stood open in the warmth of the late June night. He looked up and saw Venus shining bright white.
He strode into the castle brushing his immaculate robes to remove imaginary dust and dirt. He pulled the cloak up over his head to hide his signature platinum hair and hopefully his silvery eyes. He only needed to be seen by one person, and could risk no others. He clutched the small object around his neck. He rubbed its soft feminine curves.
A willowy blonde witch on stage finished her speech and took a step back, “Thank you.”
“Wonderful, Miss Black.”
He ignored the witch and looked about the auditorium gasping when he saw a tall wizard perhaps a year or two older than him sitting and watching the witch on stage. The wizard had shoulder length platinum hair, pulled back in a ponytail. Another taller, older wizard sat at the side of the wizard with a ponytail and a witch on the other. He smiled at the sight, just the family for whom he had been looking.
He crept around toward the punch bowl and unstopped a vial under his cloak. He inched his hand forward and dumped the contents into the punch bowl as all the graduates rose to their feet and cheered. He glanced toward where he had seen the blonde family. The youngest of the trio was approaching.
He backed away from the bowl and slipped into a crevice, but the other wizard noticed him and promptly walked around the table toward the crevice.
“Who are you?” the blond asked in a firm voice that demanded an answer in its pompous delivery and from how he looked down his nose at the shrouded wizard.
The cloaked wizard said nothing. He just slipped through the door behind him and moved swiftly through the castle to the main staircase in the entryway.
“Wait! I’m speaking to you,” the blond shouted, walking swiftly after him.
The cloaked wizard darted up the step remembering to jump the vanishing stair and darted down the hallway pulling out a ratty piece of parchment as he went, following a dot moving on it behind him.
“I say!”
The cloaked wizard choked on a laugh as he sped toward the tallest tower. He stopped at the foot of the stairs, putting a hand over his chest for a moment as if a bad memory had come to him. But he quickly continued.
“I’m talking to you. You are very ill-behaved!”
The cloaked wizard elongated the chain around his neck, and pulled out a second vial from his pocket. As the blond came up the stairs, he slung the chain around his neck and smashed the vial on the floor causing a roiling purple smoke to surround the pair as the cloaked wizard tapped the charm with his wand.
“Stupefy,” he whispered when the smoke vanished.
The blond wizard slumped, and the cloaked wizard threw his hood off.
“Sorry about that, Father. I hope in time you will forgive me,” Draco whispered disillusioning his father and levitating him down the stairs cautiously so as not to bump his head. He made his way toward the gargoyle statue. He stopped at the statue and it stared. “Veritaserum.”
The gargoyle leapt aside, and he stepped through directing the shimmer in front of him and rode to the top of the stairs, where he shoved the door open without knocking.
“Godfather, I managed what you wanted, and it wasn’t easy,” Draco said, removing the invisibility charm from the bundle he placed on the floor.
“Good work,” Severus said, slitting the wax seal on a letter open and glancing at it in the rich candlelight. “I’ll take it from here.”

“You can’t do this to me. I’ve graduated!” Lucius shouted, standing rigidly with his wand drawn.
“Oh, but I can, Lucius,” Severus said, drumming his fingers on the Headmaster’s desk. “Unless, of course, you would like to go to Azkaban until we discover how to send you back. After all, we can’t have you messing up the timeline.”
“That is blackmail.”
“You sound so surprised.”
“Severus…”
“Headmaster Snape,” Severus said, grinning wickedly at the young blond wizard whose face reddened. “You were brought forward in time. This is a highly irregular situation. It is best that we keep you here.”
“I thought we were friends. Tell me, where is the bastard who brought me here?”
“I assure you Draco’s parents were married when he was born. There is no need for insults.”
Lucius trembled and blustered.
“Yes, I think it is best that you stay here for the time being. You can surely make it believable here, and we can’t have your older self seeing you.”
“So I’m alive in this time. I survived the egomaniacal lunatic. That’s comforting,” Lucius said, sitting down and putting his wand away.
Severus’ lip twitched, “Yes, you are.”
“What else can you tell me about me?” Lucius asked, sitting ramrod straight.
“Nothing,” Severus said, taking out a quill and penning a note. A raven fluttered to Severus’ shoulder and plucked at a strand of his hair. “Enough, deliver this to the Headgirl.”
“So, what’s the password to Slytherin Common Room?” Lucius asked, knowing he was beaten as he wouldn’t go to Azkaban and that he would be going there if he went against the Headmaster’s wishes.
“You shouldn’t need to know that,” Severus said, turning to him with another horrible smile on his face.
“What do you mean?” Lucius asked, his lips turning down.
“You won’t be with Slytherins, and we will need to work out a plausible story for your being here. I think you being the second son of Lucius will work. You were sent to Durmstrang.”
“WHAT? Malfoys are always in Slytherin, and always attend Hogwarts!”
“Not anymore,” Severus said, grinning as he shoved a letter into his desk and locked it. “You are going to gallivant with Gryffindors.”
“Sev-”
“Headmaster Snape,” Severus said, linking his fingers together and leaning forward to rest his elbows on the desk as he smiled evilly.
“Headmaster Snape,” Lucius said, rolling his eyes. “Be reasonable. I can’t be around them. They are clueless.”
“Exactly,” Severus said, softly in a hiss. “Clueless. They will not figure out that you are a man out of time.”
“But I need intelligent conversation,” Lucius said, and his nose crinkled up a little as his foot stomped.
“Which is why I didn’t put you in Hufflepuff,” Severus said, lifting his chin a little. “I’m just not hearing any ‘Thank You, Headmaster’ for that.”
“Thank you, Headmaster, for putting me with the house of no forethought,” Lucius said, “I want to go back to my time, now.”
“Life’s tough, isn’t it?” Severus said, leaning back comfortably. “You’re stuck until I figure out how to send you back.”
KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.
“Enter,” Severus said, shifting forward.
Lucius glared sullenly, but as the door opened, he rose to his feet and his eyes brightened. His grey eyes brightened as they flitted over the witch in the doorway.
“You sent for me, Headmaster,” Hermione said, stepping into the office and eyeing the blond. She smiled at Snape and tilted her head to the side rubbing her lips together a little.
“Miss Granger, this is our new exchange student from Durmstrang, Adonis Malfoy.”
Hermione jerked at the name and looked him over suspiciously.
“As you are Headgirl, I am giving you the responsibility of helping Adonis in his acclimatization to Hogwarts. He has been sorted into Gryffindor.”
“Yes, Headmaster,” Hermione said, restraining the crinkling of her nose.
Lucius bowed to her.
Hermione looked him over head to foot and foot to head as if she suspected him of something.
Lucius smiled warmly at her and walked to her side.
“Your things will be here soon, I am sure,” Severus said. “Until then, I am sure Miss Granger would be glad to help you with your course work and share her books with you. You will be in all the same classes.”
Lucius nodded, “Yes, Headmaster.” He didn’t look at Snape though. He moved to Hermione’s side.
Hermione smiled sweetly at Snape before she turned and walked to the door.
Lucius darted ahead and grabbed the door opening it for her.
Hermione glared at him, but didn’t say a word as she stepped onto the moving staircase to ride down to the gargoyle entrance.
“Miss Granger,” Lucius said, gliding at her side.
“Let me just tell you one thing,” Hermione said as soon as they were out of the Headmaster’s office and room areas. “I will not tolerate any funny business from you. I will hex first and ask questions later.”
Lucius shut his mouth as he listened to the little speech.
“I know you Malfoys. You’re all the same. Nasty little worms, the lot of you. I don’t care that you are in Gryffindor. Don’t think I believe it for a minute!” Hermione poked his chest as she continued to speak, backing him up against a wall. “It’s probably some way to spy on us and give info to your little friends. I assure you that you’ll regret if you do.”
Lucius’ lips turned down and he lowered his chin a little to slant his eyes up a little as he looked down at her.
“I’m not plotting anything,” Lucius said, “Why would I want…”
“I repeat, nasty little worms…” Hermione said, leading the way to the seventh floor corridor.
“I promise you I am not like the type of Malfoy you know.”
“Doubtful, very doubtful,” Hermione stopped at the portrait of the fat lady, “Golden Trio.”
Lucius offered her his hand to help her with the step up into the common room.
Hermione looked at his hand as if it might be poisoned and climbed up without help.
Lucius tilted his head to the side as he climbed into the portrait hole after her.

Well, that was Chapter 1. I hope you all enjoy it. I feel that there aren't enough timeturner stories. And I have never read one where someone was brought forward.
