When two worlds collide
"Disclaimer: I do not own Harry potter characters, and I do not make any money from these writings."
A large crowd had gathered outside the Ministry of magic, awaiting an announcement from the minister. As he stepped out onto the stage the Minister looked into the crowd, knowing there would be a lot of witch's and wizards after his head.
"As you all know, since the defeat of Voldemort, there have been less and less witch's and wizards coming into our world. All of us Ministers from different countries have decide that enough is enough and it is time for us to join into the muggle world and let ourselves be known." There was a slight mutter through the crowd, the minister ignored them looking back out over there heads.
"So we decided to hold a meeting with all the presidents and prime ministers of the world and came to a joint decision, as of tomorrow there will be a new law where all Purebloods and Half-blood's of age will be paired off with a muggle." The crowd yelled in an uproar.
"SILENCE!!!! This decision is to help make the muggles understand that magic is not evil and that we can all live together. You who have fallen into this category will be sent an owl with the name of the muggle you are paired with. Weather they are in Africa or Antarctica you must go there court them and willingly bring them back to your world married." Another burst of muttering in the crowd then one voice was heard over it all.
"And what of us the muggle borns? Will we be expected to marry as well?" The minister looked over at woman recognising Hermione Granger.
"You have all been placed in the list and if you are paired up then you must go live with the witch or wizard picked for you in their country. We are trying to promote country unity here people!" The minister knew the crowd was about to turn ugly so he finished up his speech quickly. "In the letter with the name of your chosen will be the rules and guidelines you must follow in helping this project work." With that he turned away, leaving all the magical folk shaking their heads and swearing about how unfair it all was.
One blond head that had been watching, slowly turned to head back to his manor. Knowing that he was on the list Lucius wondered just what type of muggle girl they had picked for him, Knowing he would be arriving home to an irate son and ex-wife, Lucius quickly apperated. Narcissa would be furious at having to remarry after only just separating from him, they had split not long after the war. Their marriage had been based more on reliance then love and the divorce had been friendly. Appearing in his den Lucius was right in knowing they would be there as two blond heads looked at him both objecting the ministers new law.
"Honestly you two there is nothing we can do, but wait for our owls and take it in our stride. After all even though we are not married anymore Cissa you were and always will be a Malfoy, and Malfoys always come through on top. We will all make the most of this farce and make the family proud!"
Both Mother and Son nodded their heads, knowing that at the tap of an owls beak tomorrow the life they had known would forever be changed. It was a new age and the Malfoy's would do what they do best, walk in with their heads held high and come out on top.
