For this fic, I have chosen two shots....Devil's Poison and Vampire's Kiss. The recipes for both will be posted at the end of this two-shot! Enjoy!!!
Part One
Hermione Granger walked into the flat she currently shared with Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood. She had finished her last class of the week, and was looking forward to a hot bath, comfortable pyjamas and a good book. It had been a rough week for sure. Draco Malfoy, still as pompous a git as ever, was in all her classes. It was so unfair. After the fall of Voldemort, she had been excited to complete her Hogwarts education and move up to the Wizarding University in London. Many of her friends had joined her. Ginny, Luna, Harry, even Blaise Zabini, to her surprise had become a part of their little group. She had been excited to expand her knowledge, especially in her chosen field of Magicla Law. There was just so much to learn and she couldn't wait to get started.
Enter one Draco Black Malfoy and it was all over. Had she not had enough dealing with him through all seven years of Hogwarts, the final year as co-Heads? Their entire seventh year had seen many changes. Houses were no longer divided, new friendships were formed, blood superiority ceased to exist. The one constant though, was Draco and Hermione. Most of the students set their alarm clocks by the sound of the Head Girl and Boy arguing over everything from the cure for Wizard's Pox to which one of them was going to use their shared bathroom first that night as they headed down to breakfast each morning. Their biggest competition by far was who would give the the valedictorian speech at graduation. They were both completely stunned when Headmistress McGonagall completely skipped over the both of them (and by doing so all of their academic acheivements!), and chose Harry Bloody Potter to give the speech. Hero, indeed!! That had been the first and last time Draco and Hermione had agreed on anything. It was also the first and last time she would drink with him or allow him to kiss her. Her brain had been fuzzy but years later she still felt heat rush through her body at the thought of it. That was why she didn't think about it.
This week he had been more aggravating than ever. In each class he opted to sit next to her, and constantly made comments about anything that crossed his mind. Well, his plan was not going to work. She was going to make valedictorian and no amount of distraction from him was going to change that.
Walking through the living room into the kitchen, she plopped her bookbag into one of the counter height chairs and noticed a note charmed to hang in the air waiting for her. Grasping onto it, she tugged it closer to read.
Mione,
It's Friday and it's Halloween! You are not going to spend another minute cooped up in your room with your books! Gordon and Jennifer are throwing their annual Halloween bash! You are going to make an appearance this year. Luna and I discussed it and chose your costume. Well, I chose your costume, if it was up to her you'd be coming as a nargle, and I still have no idea what they are or even what they look like! Its laid out on your bed. Shower and change. Your escort will pick you up at 8.
Love, Ginny
P.S.
Don't even think of ignoring this note. Its charmed to hover around you until I see you at the party!!
Sighing, Hermione accepted her fate. So far she had managed to avoid Gordon and Jennifer's parties. It wasn't that she disliked the couple, she liked them very much. But her only experience at a G & J party was during her freshman year, and it was not a good one. Everyone had been drinking, and she refused to partake. For her trouble she had been vomited on by not one, not two, but three people. It was not the "awesome" experience that her friends chalked partying up to.
Heading down the hall she entered her bedroom. It was decorated in pale blue and white. The furniture was a light hued wood, and on the wall were framed prints of Impressionist paintings. It was cool and relaxing and Hermione loved to unwind in it. Toeing off her shoes, she kicked them towards her closet and glanced at the outfit that was currently spread out on her bed. Shaking her head, she laughed as she realized Ginny had taken advantage of the situation and had created something sexy and vixenish for her to wear. Ginny hated that Hermione always seemed so buttoned up all the time and was forever trying to get Hermione to show off a bit more of her sexy self.
Looking at the clock on her bedstand Hermione noticed it was 5:30. That gave her about two and a half hours to get ready for the party, and most of it would be spent relaxing in the hot bath she had promised herself after Draco had usurped her answer in Magical Law and Banking. Hermione stomped over to the connecting bathroom and pushed the door open a little but harder then necessary and winced when it bounced off the wall. Ferret boy managed to annoy her in so many ways and she never could get a firm grip on her temper when he was around. Especially when he ended up taking an O for the day in class by reading the answer straight off her paper.
Hermione stomped around the bathroom, filling the tub and charming vanilla scented candles. She began to undress, tossing her clothes as she went. Still upset at losing points in class to Draco, it wasn't until she sat in the tub that she heard the flapping of paper and realized that true to Ginny's word the note was trailing about four feet away from her, never coming any closer but still within sight. Aggravated, she reached for her wand and tried to Stupefy it. When that didn't work, she tried Reducto. Then she began to picture Draco's face on the note. Hex after hex flew out of her wand, and although the note still hung in the air, Hermione felt better as her irritation finally subsided.
After her bath, Hermione padded into her bedroom. Removing the towel from her hair and the one from her body she ran a drying spell over herself. She charmed her hair up into a loose ponytail, with a few whisps framing her face, then proceeded to dress. Slipping on her shoes, she headed out into the living room just as the doorbell announced her mysterious escort. She could only hope that Ginny had sent Harry or Blaise to bring her to the party.
Opening the door she saw all her hopes go up in smoke as she took in the site of her academic rival and biggest annoyance in life dressed as a vampire. And in some dark corner of her mind Hermione admitted to herself how handsome and sexy Draco truly was. His blond hair was gelled back like it used to be early on in their schooling, and his grey eyes held a touch of mirth at being the one to bring her to Gordon and Jennifer's party. He looked good enough to eat in his black trousers, white shirt, red silk vest, and black cape. Suddenly she felt butterflies in her stomach and she wasn't sure why. It was only Malfoy after all.
Draco, for his part, couldn't quit staring. In all the years he had known her, Draco had never seen Hermione show off the stunning figure she had. The little red dress hugged her curves, molding itself around her and coming to an end a few scant inches below her bum. The halter top was cut low enough that a hint of cleavage showed, and Draco wanted nothing more then to nibble at that delicate area. His eyes traveled lower to the silk stockings that ran up to mid thigh, and bright red pumps on her feet. Running his eyes upward he smirked as he noticed the red devil horns on her head and the pitchfork in her hands.
"Malfoy," she greeted him, "A vampire? How original for someone who leeches on to others and takes what he wants from them. Enjoy that 'O' you got in class today due to my answer?" How could Ginny do this to her?!! Malfoy, of all people!!
"Granger, always knew you were a she-devil in disguise. Never knew it could be quite this sexy though. Think I could take a bite?" His smirk widened into a full fledged grin. She looked awfully tasty, hopefully the gods would see fit to give him a chance to bite into her tonight. The last four years had been torture being in class with her, the memory of the one kiss they shared constantly buzzing around his head.
Hermione sighed loudly and grabbing her wrap off the entryway table, she stepped out into the cool night with Draco. "Let's just get there so we can both go our separate ways." Draco was about to respond when he heard the flapping of paper. Spinning around he laughed when he saw a piece of paper obviously charmed to stay a few feet away.
"What, in the name of Merlin, is that? You're new pet?" He chuckled.
"Stuff it, Malfoy. It's Ginny's security measure to make sure I arrive at Gordon and Jennifer's. It'll disappear when we get there." She began to walk at as brisk a pace as her heels would let her and completely ignoring Draco. The house where the party was being held was only two blocks up the road so walking was the obvious choice. Especially as Draco knew she would never get on a broom.
A few minutes later they entered the house of their friends. Hermione was relieved to see that the note Ginny had charmed to follow her had gone up in flames the moment she stepped through the door. Ignoring the catcalls being shouted in her direction she headed towards the kitchen, where Ginny was waving at her. Draco watched her walk off, admiring her backside as she went. Turning to walk in the opposite direction, he noticed a bloke from one of the classes he and Hermione shared. He was ogling Hermione as if he'd never seen a girl before, so on his way by Draco smacked him upside the head, "Eyes and hands off the she-devil, mate!"
