A Quiet Observation
Hey Everyone. I have a love of unconventional pairings. I've been having several ideas run through my head that I would love to share. I do not have a beta; therefore if anyone would like to volunteer let me know. I am planning a fairly long story. Please leave feedback it's always encouraging. I hope you all enjoy, without further ado.....
The tall red head quietly took in the scene before him. His brother was staring longingly at the blonde across the room; while his best friend was clearly affected.
Ron was in his own world as he was daydreaming about asking out the woman of his dreams, Lavender Brown. He had been attracted to her for years but always managed to say stupid things in front of her, like in his forth year when he asked to see Uranus too.
Of course everyone thought it was funny, but it was immature and he had been trying to make a good impression on her for some time. This year he decided was going to be different.
Ron was in his fifth year and had been gradually forced to grow up due to the uncertain times that had approached due to the return of the dark lord. Despite growing taller, and leaner, and slightly more mature he had yet to become more attuned into what was going on around him.
For the better part of several years Hermione Granger, one of his best friends had feelings for him, and Ron still had not realized it. Hermione was no longer as unattractive as she once was, but Ron couldn’t see past the blonde that occupied his thoughts and fantasies.
Hermione looked up from the book she was reading to help Ron with his homework, and she noticed that he was not paying attention to her. She followed his line of sight and saw he was staring at Lavender again. Hermione got up and slammed the cover of her book closed in frustration.
Ron looked up when he heard the loud bang of Hermione slamming her book shut, and was about to issue an apology when Hermione cut him off by saying, “Oh don’t even try to apologize, Ronald. I know why you were wasting my time. Since you can’t think with your proper head, I am going to the library, alone.”
With that being said, Hermione scooped up her books and left the Gryffindor common room. Ron just rolled his eyes and locked eyes with his brother George that was taking in the whole scene. George shook his head at Ron, and got up to leave the common room as well.
George made his way out of the portrait and made his way toward the library. He couldn’t wait to spend some more time looking at the chestnut haired beauty.
