Chapter One: The Auction
Chapter One: The Auction
Lily crossed her arms and paced as she stood in one of the old, shabby looking rooms of number twelve Grimmauld Place. Today was the day that the Minister of Magic set aside for the Death Eaters to take part in an auction of sorts. Lord Voldemort had made a deal with the Minister to keep a respective amount of peace so long as he and his minions were satisfied.
No one would miss the half-bloods and muggles in the wizarding world, so they were easy to pick off and get handed over to the richest and most powerful death eaters at their bidding. Already there had been a few others that were sold, and it was now Her turn. The girls were being sold first, and then the boys would be taken after that. Among those boys happened to be her little half-brother Teddy Lupin..she was worried, knowing anywhere he went would be bad. She thought to herself for a long time about the things she would have to leave; Her father and step mother who had gone missing, Her fifteen year old brother Teddy, and of course her life-long friend as well as boyfriend Harry Potter.
Lily hardly had time to think before a rather strong death eater with a cloak draped over him grabbed her roughly by the arm and pulled her down the stairs where a group of the hooded figures all sitting in chairs waiting for their respective trophies of their own wealth and inhumanity. Among the mass, Lily spotted a rather confident looking wizard with red hair, Grey-blue eyes and a smirk on his face. Lily was pushed into the middle of the room and she began to rub her arm where the strong death eater had a hold of her. Many of the Death Eaters seemed to be looking her over with a grin until the handsome man Lily saw while she was descending the stairs stood up. With a single glance to the others, the death eaters looked away from Lily promptly and he walked to the front of the room to claim his prize that he had clearly won in a silent auction that took place before hand.
"Well hello there.." He said as he looked down at her with that smirk that would normally make her knees weak, were she not scared and nervous beyond all comprehension. "Hi..." Lily said in a small, mousy voice as she looked up into his eyes. "Hi Sir," The man started correcting her "or Master if you'd like. Master Cardington or Master Greenbay are also acceptable." Lily nodded, hanging onto the words he said. "Yes, Master.." she said, feeling like there was a pit in her stomach that was eating her away when she called him 'Master'.
"Good girl." Card said as he walked with Lily in step toward the door. There, a ministry official, Yaxley was waiting for each death eater as they passed through. "Good Afternoon, Mister Greenbay" Yaxley said holding a long piece of parchment with a feather quill marking the two off of the list of names he was holding. "Good Afternoon, Yaxley" Card said as Lily stood quietly beside him. Her long brown hair was done up in pig-tails just like it always had been since she was little, and her blue eyes were filled with worry, and the smallest amount of excitement. Lily could hear Card telling Yaxley that his reason for making such a purchase, was that he needed help with cleaning his dungeons, as he had so many dungeon rooms , his house-elves could never do it themselves.
"Alright then, Mister Greenbay," Lily could hear Yaxley saying even though she was in a bit of a daze, thinking again about her friends and family, and what their respective fates would now entail "You may be on your way, and enjoy your day." Yaxley said after jotting down a few notes. Card smiled and walked out of the door holding Lily by the arm. Lily followed him out the door, taking one more look at the House of Black before seeing Card's hand extended out to her. Lily looked at his hand, and then up at Card who still had that cocky grin on his lips, before she nervously placed her hand in his. Soon they started to spin for a few moments before they were suddenly in front of a large, beautiful, old looking house that was Greenbay Manor.
(A/N:Okay, so my boyfriend and I decided that it was time that we stopped keeping Lily and Card to ourselves, and we both thought it time to write a fan fic that was based on the characters that he and I created. I cant take all of the credit, my boyfriend and I both wrote the storyline it was based of, he came up with the plot, and a friend of ours also put in her own creative aspect for Fenrir Greyback's scene. So let me know what you think..Especially since this is my very first real fan fic, and criticism can be good. BoyFriend Note= BFN: i helped with the uploading! I know some of you may not like this sorta stuff but if you don't you shouldn't be reading this stuff. Try to bite back on the flames)
