More Than I Can Ever Say
AN: Well, hello! I kinda started this new story tonight. I have no idea where this came from and I know that I'm in deeper trouble now that I have one more story to write through. I'm not really planning on writing this for eternity. Just a few chapters and hopefully everything turns out well. We'll see it in the end don't we?
Summary: Lucius has arranged a marriage for his son. Draco didn't think that he would fall in love with the girl at first sight. This is a love story of Draco and his bride. (Draco/Girl!Harry)
More Than I Can Ever Say
Chapter One
-~-Love at first sight-~-
"What?" he whispered.
Lucius chuckled. "I'm sure you heard me, son."
"But why now?" Draco looked at his father in disbelief.
"Why not? You are old enough to get married. It's about time you get yourself an heir."
Draco sat down on the couch next to the fireplace, putting his head into his hands. He took a few calming breaths. "So, you are saying that you want grandchildren?"
Lucius chuckled again, sitting opposite from Draco. "Well, I and your mother are not getting any younger. I'm sure she will love to be able to take care of babies again."
Draco looked at Lucius. "You make it sound so easy," he said, smirking.
Lucius only smiled at him, saying nothing. Draco started to wonder if there was some other reason behind this sudden marriage. He would ask questions after he had met his bride to be.
"When will I meet her?"
The look on Lucius' face was pleased. "I knew you would not oppose the idea."
"Father," Draco sighed. "I can't say no if I haven't even met her. For all I know she might be the love of my life," he said, reluctant to admit such a thing to his father but there was no point lying to him.
"She's already here."

Suddenly nervous, Draco hesitated at opening the door to the Manor's library. He didn't know why this made him nervous as she could be anybody. Taking one final deep breath, he opened the door. He walked in and saw no one at first. "Hello, anyone in here?"
"Oh, hi!" a melodic voice came from the left. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist," she said as she put the book back in the shelf.
Draco couldn't believe his eyes. She was beautiful! Her dark long black hair was braided on one big braid, descending down from her shoulder to her front. Her clear green eyes were captivating and her warm smile made his heart flutter.
As he continued to stare at her tongue-tied, she fidgeted under his gaze, nervously playing with her braid. Eventually she decided to take the initiative. "Hello, my name is Harriet Potter but you can call me Harry as everyone does usually." She offered him her hand which Draco took slowly.
He turn the palm up and kissed the back of her hand. "I'm Draco Malfoy. Nice to meet you Harry."
"Likewise, Mr. Malfoy," she said, grinning at his greeting. No one had done that to her before.
"Call me Draco," he quickly said to her before she would take offence. He led her to sit down on a settee in middle of the bookshelves.
"Of course, Draco," she answered.
The door to the library opened and a house elf named Giffy came in. "Master told me serve you tea," he said putting a tray down on the coffee table between the settees. He disappeared as soon as he had poured the tea in the cups and placed them in front of the young couple.
Draco sat opposite to her so that he could keep looking at her without seeming suspicious. "You haven't been waiting for long?" he asked taking a sip of his tea.
She smiled, sitting on the settee as a lady should. She glanced at the clock on the wall. "Not more than ten minutes but I was completely entertained by the books."
He smiled. She seemed to be at ease with him, even though some nervousness still lingered as small gestures she did. She kept fingering the hem of her dress and her long hair. "I'm sorry that I wasn't here sooner. I actually heard about this whole thing just a few minutes ago," he admitted.
"Really?" She looked surprised. "And they told me that you wanted to meet me. I've known for about two years now that I'll be marrying you."
Draco coughed nervously into his hand. "My father was so considerate that he told me just now that it is time for me to start a family. I guess I should have known that my bride had been selected years ago."
He felt better when he saw her smile again. This would not be so bad, would it? Her aura made him feel that he could talk to her about anything. What would be the point of keeping secrets from her if he would marry her?
"I see that we have been played," she said, sipping her tea and taking a bite of the chocolate chip cookies Giffy had left as well for them.
"Yes, so it seems," he agreed. Why had his father not told him that he had a fiancée? He would have actually gotten used to the idea of marriage long time ago. "Tell me about yourself. I guess you know about me more than I could tell you, am I right?"
She blushed, putting her cup down. "Yes, I've had time to hear things about you but I'm starting to think those things are not true."
Draco was intrigued. "What have you heard about me, then?"
Now she blushed even harder. Her face was red overall. "I-I don't want to say such things now that I'm getting to know the real you."
Draco really wondered what she was hiding. He could only guess that someone had been talking shit behind his back. "I'm glad to hear that you want to know me," he said and it looked as if she couldn't stop from blushing. "Am I making you uncomfortable?"
"No no! I just need a minute to calm down. No one has never even talked to me as if I was a human being. You are too nice."
Draco's eyebrows rose in confuse. "But surely there must have someone who you have talked to before me?"
She was waving her hand as being dismissive. "I haven't exactly been out of the house that much. I think that my Aunt and Uncle just want to get rid of me and that is why they arranged this marriage thing."
Draco felt numb. How could she say that about her family? Were they really that bad? He would find out in one way or another. "Do you feel that you are ready to be married?" As the time passed he began to feel this was more a interrogation than small talk but he wanted to know and if she didn't answer then she had something to hide.
She licked her lips, taking another cookie. "Yes, since I've known for sometime I have come to terms with it."
Draco smiled. "That's good to hear," he paused to think what he wanted to say. "Have you thought about the date? Do you want to get married as soon as possible or should I court you first as I'm supposed to?"
Now she was red as tomato and she fanned her face with her hand. "There hasn't been any serious debate about the date and I-I would appreciate the courting, Draco," she stammered a bit but Draco thought it was cute.
"All right. Then we shall do that," he said standing up. "Would you care for a walk around the manor?"
She rose to follow him. "Of course," she responded and took his offered arm.
He showed her around the manor for a few hours. It was time consuming since she often stopped him and asked various questions about a painting or object. She loved the garden that was the pride of his mother. She was lost in thought as she walked the aisle of roses in the warm evening breeze.
Draco took his time to look at her in her light green dress. She seems to good to be true. He couldn't believe that this kind of girl would be his wife. Almost too innocent to be married at so young age but there was air of confidence around her. She was shy at first but then she relaxed completely in his presence and opened up. She knew what she wanted and didn't hesitate to tell him.
A smile graced her lips as she touched the flowers. Draco walked closer to her, not wanting to disturb her but it was getting colder and it was time to get inside. He touched her arm softly and she gasped. Her eyes were wide as she turned to look at him. "You startled me," she said as she straightened out.
"Sorry," Draco said and broke one of the roses out of the bush and offered it to her as an apology.
A Slight blush coloured her cheeks. "Thank you," she said with a soft smile.
After a brief hesitation Draco raised his hand to touch her soft cheek. His eyes searched hers and he saw no fear, only acceptance. He leaned down and kissed her lips softly. She closed her eyes as their lips touched for the shortest of moments.
He smiled warmly at her as she had not pulled away; he knew it hadn't been unwelcome kiss. She stood her eyes closed for a moment and he continued to caress her cheek gently. Then her brilliant gree eyes opened and he couldn't look away as she stared at him.
She bit her lips and then suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him into another kiss. He wrapped his arm around her waist as the kiss deepened. She shivered in his arms. He didn't want to let her go and it seemed neither did she.
Eventually she pulled away and gave him one last peck on his cheek. "Thank you for the wonderful evening, Draco."
He couldn't help but smile. "Likewise, Harry. It has been an honour to meet you. I will be picking you up sometime soon for dinner."
She nodded. "Sounds good. I think it's time for me to get home."
Sighing, he let her go and they made their way back inside the manor.
"I'll see you soon, love," he whispered against her ear as she was leaving via floo. She just smiled mysteriously and disappeared into the green flames.
