Prolog: Discovery! Part 1!

Hermione Granger stepped off of the train at Platform 93/4 and sighed. It was her summer holiday and Hermione was feeling melancholy, so utterly alone. Hermione couldn’t help bur drift into her painful memories of the past year. During Hermione’s 6th year, Hermione learned two shocking things that gave her a reason to feel sad, hurt, angry, all kinds of emotions. She remembered how she screamed and threw things.

Lucius Malfoy turned his smiling face from Draco and Harry, who were talking up a storm about the next Quidditch match, to the face of Hermione Granger. The girl who would smile that angelic smile and argued constantly at Ron Weasley about applying himself in his homework and classes, looked so lost. Lucius would give anything just to see Hermione smile again.

For Hermione, the heart wrenching news was to find out that only a short couple of months before that her parents had being killed during a Death Eater raid. Hermione closed her eyes and let out a shaky sigh. Then the heart stopper or bombshell was dropped at Hermione’s feet. She wasn’t a Muggleborn but a Pureblood. Both of her parents came from highly respected Pureblood families.

Hermione went berserk. She started screaming and yelling at the top of her lungs about how unfair her parents were. She picked up her teacup and flung it across the Headmaster’s office then stood and started throwing other items. Remus, Severus, and Sirius stood to try and stop her but Dumbledore held them back. But when Lucius Malfoy stood, surprisingly enough, Dumbledore didn’t stop him from going to Hermione.

Lucius Malfoy was the first spy the order ever had. Severus Snape was the second spy. Although Severus was good at gathering information, he wasn’t as good as Lucius. Poor Lucius sat and watched the ‘Brightest Witch Of Their Age’ crumble before his eyes. He watched in awe as Hermione threw her teacup and started breaking things. Lucius watched as Remus and the others stood up to go comfort her but Dumbledore stopped them with a shake of his head and a look.

“Albus?” Lucius asked as he nudged his head in Hermione’s direction. He stood and looked at Dumbledore, who nodded his permission to go to Hermione with an extra twinkle in his eyes.

All Hermione could do was scream in intense anger. It was like her parents never trusted her with something this important. She was a Pureblood! Hermione went to the window and looked out towards the lake. She let out an ear piercing scream and felt her legs start to buckle. Lucius caught her before she fell. Hermione felt Lucius wrap his arms around and held her tight as he slowly let her sink to floor.
