A Beautiful Lie
Chapter One-Back to Private Drive
Harry sighed as he got off the train and saw the large welcoming committee that waited for him. Why couldn't they just leave him alone? He had lost his godfather not even a week ago and had placed his friends in danger too.
At the moment, his mind was numb. Barely registering what was being said to him, Harry smiled and nodded as always.
He did not even flinch, after his Uncle had driven them home, when he was grabbed roughly by his shirtfront and jerked out of the tiny car.
His Uncle never noticed the blank look in his eyes as he told Harry that this was going to be his worst summer yet. After all, how dare the worthless brat have his freaky-ass friends try to tell him what to do.
However, when Vernon Dursly began to tie him to a wall in the basement, Harry blinked. What the hell? What did his Uncle think he was doing?
Then all thought left his head as the cat o' nine whip came down on his back again and again and again.
Dursly was right, that was the worst summer yet.
Poor Harry. He has a shitty summer. Next chapter skips to Harry's sixth year. Things will be different this time around. Oh and my sowwy's for the short chapter. I will have a MUCH longer one up tomorrow.
