Chapter One
“Elizabeth! Come on! We’re going to be late!” called a male voice from the bottom of the stairs.
Elizabeth Draven stood up in her room, her long brown curls fell down over her shoulders and down her narrow back. Her blue eyes shown and were the first thing you saw when you looked at her. She had a slender yet still hour glass figure. She, in anyone’s mind, was beautiful.
She ran her fingers threw her soft curls and then patted the skirt she had on.
“First day of your last year of Hogwarts Elizabeth,” she told herself in the mirror before walking out of the room.
She walked down the stairs and let a large smile escape her lips as she saw Hermione, Ron, and Harry standing there, waiting for her. She jumped down the last four stairs, holding down her skrit so it didn’t fly up and show her knickers.
“How are you guys?” she asked, smiling widely at her three friends as they walked to the exit of the Gryffindor common room.
Ron grinned and kissed her on the cheek and put his arms around her shoulders, “Oh good, saw a group of very hot fifth year Ravenclaws”.
Elizabeth laughed and tapped him on the nose, “You get more like Fred and George every day,” she told him, smiling to herself.
She knew the trio because her and the Weasley twins had always been friends all threw her life at Hogwarts. Lee had asked her on a date when she was in her second year, and though they never hit it off, she had remained friends with him and the twins. She had also spent the entire summer at the Weasley’s (her parents had gone to China on business).
Though because the twins were in the process of starting a joke shop, it gave her a lot of time with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
It was weird to think that they were all in the same year and yet she had never really gotten to know any of them. Her and Hermione had shared a room for six years, and Elizabeth realized she had never held a whole conversation with her until that past summer. She had always gravitated towards the older crowds. But now, her 7th year, she was the oldest crowd. And was very thankful she had met the trio over the summer- or she would have had no one.
“We already ate, though I don’t think there’s any reason why we can’t eat again with you Lis,” Ron had a hungry look on his face, though he had just come from the Great Hall. The four students left the room and started walking to the main part of the school.
“Ron! You just ate three plates of food before we came!” laughed Harry.
“I’m really not all that hungry anyway…” shrugged Liz.
“Good, because we’re going to be late to potions class,” and with that, Hermione led them to the dungeon.
Harry and Ron both groaned loudly.
“I think as seventeen year olds you two should be able to handle a greasy haired hook nosed ass of a teacher who…”
“I would suggest you stop right there Ms. Draven,” sneered a voice from behind them.
All four of them turned around at the speed of light to see a tall, towering man with long billowing black robes and pale skin. His eyes looked like they were black holes and he had a large hooked nose. His black messy hair fell over his face and went past his ears.
Elizabeth gulped, her honey brown hair in her face, she reached a hand up and pushed it behind her ears. “Um, hello Professor Snape,” she said, biting her bottom lip, looking up at her potions teacher in fear.
“Potter, Granger, Weasley get off to class. Ms. Draven, stay here, we need to talk.”
Liz gulped again, as her three new friends shuffled off. Ron put a comforting hand on her shoulder before we went off with Harry and Hermione.
She looked back and watched them leave and then turned back to her glaring Potions teacher.
“Ms. Draven, do you realize that you’re very lucky to have gotten in my NEWT’s class last year with the poor potions you have done in my class?” he sneered down at her.
Elizabeth had to try very hard not to roll her eyes. Her potions were nothing like Hermione Granger’s. But they were most definitely fair, not the worst in the class or anything. “Yeah, sure, whatever,” she bit her lip hard when she said that.
Snape raised one of his eyebrows at her, his frown deepened, “I don’t think,” he took a step closer to her, “that someone who wants to be an auror should be this dismissive about her potions class.” He smirked down at her, “and bad mouthing the teacher in the hallways isn’t the best idea either”.
The bell rang and Elizabeth looked up at the ceiling, which is what she always did when the bell rang.
“Your late Ms. Draven. Detention,” Snape smirked and he brushed past her towards the door to his classroom.
