Innuendo

Chapter 1! Joyfully gallivanting into the classroom came a bright young boy with shaggy dark brown hair and an unmistakable scar emblazoned upon his forehead. A bright-eyed curly haired girl and a quite ragtag boy with scruffy light brown hair followed after. It was once again Defense against the Dark Arts Class and Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley walked pleasantly into class quite early, as the opportunity to meet the new teacher had presented itself. They sat down in there desks, chatting idly with one another for what seemed ages, waiting almost excitedly to see what new adventures there new teacher would show to them. That’s when He stepped out from behind the office door. The white blinding shine of his teeth were the first thing to greet them, set wide in a huge grin that seemed to take up his whole face. The swishing of robes, light blue and lavender in color enveloped him in a seamless joining of pastel brights and he flouted across the room with the grace and arrogance that only one person could muster. Gilderoy Lockhart smiled at them "And how are my wonderful pupils today?" He asked with a wink. The three companions sat still in there desks, as if some demon from the deep had just risen up from the ground to eat them. Ron's mouth nearly touched the floor, Harry's glasses began to slip and Hermione went a pink that even roses would envy. Gilderoy all the while stood in proud aloofness waiting on a foot for one of the young adults to say something… Hermione was the first to speak up, summoning what breath she had left in her to nod slowly and talk in a starkly loud voice compared to how silent the classroom had become. "Hello again Professor Lockhart…" She said and smiled a somewhat small and embarrassed smile. Ron to soon to be recognized justly fainted. "Aye, I swear to ya! The old poufs been put back into the school system!" Harry spouted to Cedric Diggory as he sat next to Ron's bed in the school infirmary. "I can't believe they would let him back. The old bastard nearly obiverated you and Ron two years ago and in the end he doesn't know a lick about teaching anyway!" Cedric nearly yelled as he sat next to Harry. "Oh come off it you two" Hermione said suddenly "He deserves a second chance just as much as the rest of us" "Oi,, your only saying that because you like im' and we all know it" Cedric said and laughed nudging Harry in the arm for approval. "Harry, don't just let him say something like that, tell him that I'm over Lockhart now, it was only a schoolgirl crush" Hermione said red in the face and tugged insistently on Harry's other arm. "Oh, well I'm not saying anything, bout either of you two's opinions. Not until we see Lockhart teach again" Harry Said and yanked his arms away from both of them. Both looked at him quite dumbfounded. After Ron had been visited by his friends they left him there to get over the shock and wandered back to their classes, Cedric skipping off to Transfiguration and Harry and Hermione going to get more acquainted with there "new teacher". Gilderoy greeted them with yet another beaming smile and beckoned them in the door. Classes still had yet to start so the two friends sauntered up to Gilderoy’s desk at the front of the class and proceeded to stare at him, wondering if he would notice. His back was to them and he seemed to be getting lost in one of his self proclaimed book, this one in particular was "Magical Me", one of Hermione's favorite. Hermione once again for a rare treat spoke up first once more in uncertainty. "Um…Professor Lockhart" Gilderoy turned and looked at them ,seemingly baffled at how they had seemed to appear at his desk without his notice. "Well, hello again Harry and Hermione…I saw your friend take a fall there a bit ago. Probably just all the excitement of seeing a celebrity once again on the school grounds" He chided and began to stare at Harry. "Oh, he's fine now, yes" Hermione replied "Oh and Harry. How have you been!?" Gilderoy seemed to brighten up just at the saying of the boy's name and he seemed to be burning an excited gaze into Harry. The subtle look in Gilderoy's eyes made Harry feel uncomfortable and there was an unmutable silence that resounded after the golden haired professor had stopped talking. "I'm quite fine sir…" Harry said quietly, almost unsure that that was about to change. "Well, lets have tea and sausages sometime then!" Gilderoy said exuberantly and with that galloped off to his office. Silence once again said what was not. "Sausages…" Hermione said looking confused and slightly afraid. Oh if she had only known of the sausage Harry was soon to be served… "I swear the blimey bugger is off his rocker!" Ron choked out past a mouthful of porridge as he and his two friends sat beside him at breakfast. Hermione looked disapprovingly over at him but knew to keep her mouth shut. Better to let him think what he want then be ridiculed for being smitten for Lockhart. Harry seemed uneasy as Ron brought up the topic of Lockhart again and only after Ron had thrown a French roll at him did he realize him and Hermione were staring at him. "What do you think Harry? Don't you think Lockhart seemed a bit odd in class yesterday? Through the whole class he kept catching glances at us, sorta creepy I say. I bet your shirt was unbuttoned and you diden't notice Hermione" Ron finished, grinning at her "What, wait, what!?" Hermione sputtered, looking down shocked at her shirt. "I was kidding Herm!" Ron said and laughed and took another heaping helping of porridge. "Sausages…" Hermione muttered under her breath randomly "What?" Ron said "Oh, yeah, I figure Lockhart really does like his sausage if ya know what I mean…" Hermione and Harry looked at him in disgust and soon there were bread rolls flying and the laughter of friends could be heard at such an ironic joke.
