Setting Off The Beautiful
How Emily had found her way into this position baffled her. To her knowledge she wasn’t a pureblood, which completely made her question the Malfoys’ sanity in coercing with her family and why she was just dropped off at the Malfoys’ doorstep roughly two minutes ago made absolutely no sense to her. Pushing her nervousness away she knocked on the door. The door opened slowly to reveal a house elf.
“Can I help you miss?”
“Well, erm, yes. I suppose you could. I’m supposed to stay here. My parents told me to talk to Lucius Malfoy.”
“I will fetch him right away miss…?” He hesitated, asking for her name.
“Emily. Emily Daniels.” She replied.
“I will fetch him right away Miss Emily.” The house elf said, compliantly. Emily stood there waiting for what seemed like forever. Finally, a tall, thin man appeared. He was obviously a sports player; for Emily could see the muscles ripple beneath his shirt. His pale blonde hair stood out in this house made completely of black. The blue eyes he bore were as piercing as ice.
“My father could not entertain any guests at the moment, so he asked me to come fetch you. I am Draco. Draco Malfoy. Who might you be?” He obviously assumed that she was a pureblood. She knew how the Malfoys treated half-bloods and it was not very kindly.
“I am Emily Daniels. My parents just kind of dropped me off here. I’m not quite sure why though. I wasn’t even aware that my parents knew your parents.” Emily said. She was trying with all her might to be the perfect lady that her parents told her she must be when they dropped her off her.
“Hm.. Daniels. Doesn’t sound like a pureblood name I know. Anyhow, come on in. I’m sure my father will be with you momentarily.” Emily was not sure why, but she felt kind of lonely watching Draco’s back retreating up a long staircase.
[Sorry this was so short. I just quickly typed it up on my computer. Its not very well written either. I promise I will right more soon.]
