Prologue
She couldn’t say anything. Her heart was racing a million miles a minute and there was nothing she could do about it. She couldn’t scream, couldn’t move, couldn’t do anything. The room began to spin in an array of colorful lights and loud noises. Her body seemed to drift through the crowd of tightly packed people who were gyrating and practically fornicating on the dance floor.
Somehow she made it outside, even though her body refused to move forward, she somehow managed to get outside and away from the colors and noise. The outside was not much though. People, or what she assumed were people, were staring at her. They didn’t look like people though. Their faces seemed deformed and some even looked like demons straight out of those muggle horror movies.
All of a sudden she ran into something hard. She looked up and came face to face with one of those demons. Its eyes were black and suddenly its mouth opened to let out a scream that no human could ever make. She screamed and tried to beat away this horrible beast, but its claws latched onto her arms, burning into her skin.
Then suddenly the world turned black and that was the last thing that Hermione Granger could recall.

Severus Snape was walking out of Knockturn Alley and heading back to Hogwarts. He had gone there to replenish some of his supplies for his storeroom. It was an exceptionally nice night for September in England. The air was warm, but not too warm, with a nice cool breeze every few seconds.
Lost in his thoughts he accidentally turned down the wrong street and stumbled upon a very interesting sight. Amused, he watched as one of his former pupils came stumbling out of some godforsaken establishment where only hormonally challenged dunderheads go.
He suddenly paused in his thoughts as he noticed that everyone who was looking at her seemed almost horrified. Curiously he stepped forward to see what was wrong and then she turned and ran right into him. It was when she looked up at him he noticed immediately what was wrong. Not only was she sweating profusely but also her eyes were pure white. It was as if she were bewitched. She then began to scream hysterically and started pounding at his chest.
He grabbed her by the arms to control her, “Miss Granger, get a hold of yourself!” She continued her screaming until suddenly she went limp. Looking around, Severus noticed people were starting to gather around him and the almost lifeless body of his former student. It was then he gathered her up in his arms and ran to the nearest apparation point.
He needed to get her help and quick.
