Severus, Come Here
A/N: The lyrics I use in this story in the song "Wake Up" are by Three Days Grace and is property of Three Days Grace.
I'm not sober all the time
You bring me down at least you try
"Severus, COME HERE!" Screamed a voice echoing up the stairs of the Snape household. The sixteen-year-old boy, who was up in his room laying in his bed felt himself sink deeper into his bed, afraid of what his father was going to do to him.
He pushed his pale, scrawny figure to sitting position and slid slowly off of his bed. He made his way to the door, fingering his wand, which he knew he shouldn't have with him--his father told him never to have his wand with him when they talked...
He placed his wand on his desk, which was right by the door, and then exited his room into the hallway. He began to tremble. 'What was it?' He thought fearfully as he reached the landing and then began descending the stairs, 'I remembered to do all the chores.'
Severus reached the bottom of the stairs and then turned towards the direction of the living room, where he knew his father had been calling from. He gave a silent sigh that turned instantly into a shudder as he began to walk into the room.
His father was sitting. His dark beady eyes were focused on the fire, a look of extreme distaste on his face. Severus did not like this; he felt so scared.
“Come here.” His father said. His tone was undistinguishable. It sounded calm… but Severus knew too much to ever linger on think his father would be calm with him from the way the vibe was at the moment.
He went forward.
His father looked up at him when Severus reached him. His piercing beady black eyes bore into his, and Severus felt vulnerable as he looked into his father’s face.
“Your mother and I don’t see eye to eye.” He said in his deep penetrating voice. It was the type of voice that would scare you even if something nice were being said.
Severus silently agreed with this statement.
“I do not want you to listen to her, I want you to listen to me. Nothing she says is of great importance anyways.”
Severus felt his emotions kick in… he felt saddened by the way his father had just said that–he loved his mother. No, he felt angry.
“She is a waste of a woman and I do not want her rubbing off on you. I do not want you to do what she tells you, talk to her leisurely, or anything of that matter. The only time I want you to talk to her is when she asks you what you want for dinner so she can cook it.”
The hate was beginning to form… ‘How could he?’
“That is the only thing she is valued here for, her housework. Do you understand?”
Severus stood there, his eyes lost in his fathers. His heart was pounding… he was beginning to shake… something slowly was crawling up his back…
“No.” He said quietly–confidently.
Until we see this eye to eye
I don't want you
Severus was beside himself.
“No?” his father replied. “Ah, she’s getting to you already… the stupidity.”
“NO!” Severus shouted. He was breathing frantically from his rage; he had never felt this way in his life. He knew every word was lethal, but he didn’t care. Hate licked his insides too much for him to care. His love for his mother was the only innocence left in him.
“What, you like your mother? Yeah? Do you? Stupid child. The only thing she’s ever good for is a good fuck…”
“SHUT UP!!!” Severus screamed with everything he could muster… he felt his throat stinging in pain.
It happened quickly. His father rose out of the chair and all Severus could feel were his hands… squeezing his arms. It hurt so badly.
“DO YOU THINK YOU COULD TALK TO ME LIKE THAT YOU LITTLE SON-OF-A-BITCH?! YOU USELESS PIECE OF SHIT!”
Severus was thrown against the wall of the living room by his father. He hit the back of his head hard on the wall… he was knocked out.
He opened his eyes to find himself on the floor of the livingroom, having been woken up to the sounds of someone screaming.
I must be running out of luck
Cause you're just not drunk enough to fuck...
