Chapter 1: Harry’s Destiny
Written by: Flamesky

Harry was flying in the heavens, slowly lulling himself away from them. The air was warm, the near sun rays gentle as he dove in the soft cotton white like clouds. He let out a little tensed sighed as his waxen wings flapped unhurriedly, his arms were crossed behind his head, and eyes closed in meditation.
His mind was full with thoughts.
A small breeze uncovered the lighting shaped scar on his forehead that had been hidden by his fringe. The sun illuminated his ink colored hair; on his skin was an unnatural bronze healthy shaded glow that could have made any girl sick with envy.

“Harry!”

Brilliant emerald eyes opened at the call. He sat in the air, blinking a little surprised as he watched a shock of red hair fly into him.

“Ron.” He smiled as the other angel hugged him. “Why didn’t you tell me you were back?” The redhead angel gasped excitedly still holding him from his lower waste. “I just got here.” The raven-head responded. “I figured you’d find out by yourself anyways.” As some more breeze came trough, the two separated.

Ron smiled sheepishly at that, his golden tunic shimmering slightly. “Yeah well, you know me.” Harry nodded playfully and flew next to him. “How is Hermione?” he asked. “She’s great, waiting for you to be back of course and yes! So you are! Tell me Harry, how was your journey? What did you see? What did he tell you?”

“You mean God?” Harry had gone pensive as he said that. “Yeah mate. Did he tell you your purpose?”
Harry took his time to respond, mind turning with thoughts as he grew more in his broody mood.
When Angels reached their maturity at the age of eighteen, they were all supposed to travel in the highest of heavens to meet their holly father. It was one of the climaxes most important in an Angel’s life. Before that, each Angel went trough a training, to be prepared to whatever was to come. The training consisted with magic powers and other basic skills. More or less, it was like a normal human school. And honestly, as Harry thought about what God had told him, he didn’t feel prepare at all.

“Harry? Mate hey, did you hear me?” The other Angel blushed softly on the cheeks. “Forgive me Ron, I got lost in thought.” Ron got a knowing look in his eyes as he studied his friend.
“You didn’t like it, did you?” He asked. Harry breathed in as he watched the gates of the Angel’s Cove open to them. The gold material shined with the sun as if in greeting when they gently landed on the grass. Houses were all around, the tiny suburbia bustling with life as other Angels lived there too. Ron frowned up at his friend.

“Harry…”

“It’s not that I didn’t like it, Ron. It would be highly disrespecting of me if I’d denied my lord’s words.” He breathed again. “Just…I wasn’t expecting for…”

“Hi there Harry! Came back did you, finally?” They turned to see a brown haired Angel, little freckles on his nose as he greeted them. “Hello to you to Seamus.” He said quietly but managed to smile nonetheless, his green eyes sparkling with joy to see his friend again. “Hey Seam.” Smiled Ron, feeling a little impatient for their discussion had been interrupted. Seamus smiled. “Mione and the others can’t wait to congratulate you! Therefore, let me have the pleasure to be the second!” He hugged Harry warmly, little to close for comfort from Ron’s point of view and let him go. “Congrats adult you. Now get home, the ladies await along with everyone else!” Harry chuckled. “Wait, a party? For me?” Ron finally stepped in feeling annoyed that Seamus had broken the news to him first. “Yes. Hermione’s been going crazy and totally exited about your maturity. She has great expectations of you.”

Harry smiled gently at that, the faintest of blushes on his cheeks. “I…” Seamus chuckled and clapped his hands once. “Off with you! Ron, bring the big boy to his party!” “Aren’t you coming?” Seamus flashed a smile at Harry. “I just have some stuff to eeh…Watch over and I’ll be there.” He winked. “Right.” Said the redhead between clenched teeth. The Irish Angel then, departed. Harry smiled.

“Oh Ron, I’m most honoured. A party? For me?” “Yeah well, don’t get teary on me.” Sniffed the angel as he noticed the emerald unnaturally shiny eyes. Harry dropped the playful act. “Thanks really. I don’t think it would have been needed thought.” “Oh stop been shy, Harry.” They turned left as they begun to walk on a brick path. “We don’t mind, and you know, it’s only fair. I got one too.” Harry nodded, the memory coming back to him with a smile. “Yes.” He whispered. ‘But it was because your parents did it for you…’ He finished in his mind.
Harry knew that Ron and Hermione had planned the party so that in a way, Harry wouldn’t have felt left out. Unfortunately, Harry hadn’t been blessed with the joy to have parents. To full that emptiness, his friends had always been there for him. Gradually, as they all grew up, the bond between them strengthen to a very deep friendship. Around the Angel’s Cove, they’d been called the “Dream Team” as they had been always together in anything and anywhere.

“Hello??”

“Oh!” Harry shook his head, the memories of his childhood had invaded him. “Sorry!” Ron chuckled and rolled his eyes. “Harry really, you should do something for that hearing problem of yours, and the same for your blushing. I can’t believe that all the others thing you hold such great powers!” If possible, the dark haired Angel blushed even more. “I well I…” They laughed. Ron placed an arm around his friends shoulder and smiled. “Its ok mate. The important thing is now that your back. We missed you during these two weeks, you know?” Harry smiled, glad in a way that the subject had taken a different twist.
As they walked, they were stopped by other Angels coming to greet them. Harry smiled and thanked them as they welcomed him back. All the other Angel held great respect for Harry, they all knew his lonesome tale and had great compassion. Also, admiration for he had survived that sudden attack in which cause his parents to die. This seemed to have remembered Ron about their previous discussion.

“So…What really happened up there?”

Harry waved to another angel in the distance. “Well, I endured a week of meditation and the last week I was prepared to meet our holly father. During that week I did some more yoga and meditation to then finally…Met him just today, Sunday, the day of God.” Ron nodded at this, suspicious to why Harry was making it painfully long. “I’m still wearing the same pale blue tunic that was gifted to me there, and the scent of the place still lies on my skin. In fact, I’m fresh from the meeting with God, just ended.”

Ron had to catch his breath at that. “What were the words spoken to you?” Harry staid silent as Ron’s and Hermione’s house came to view. “I will tell you at the right time, Ron. Now, I don’t think it’s good.” The other bit his lip. “Harry, its nothing bad now, is it?” He looked worried. Harry smiled gently at him. “No, of course not. Our God loves us; he’d never do anything to hurt us.”

“Not if, with a good cause.” Underlined Ron as he was very protective of his friend. The emerald eyed Angel nodded quietly, eyes going down and fogged in thoughts again. It was then that Ron understood that God must have said something, very but very, important for Harry to be acting like that. He breathed in, squizzing his friend’s shoulder with moral support and stayed quite as they entered the garden to the Weasly’s house.

*-*-*-*
The party had ended by hours now and rather successfully to Hermione’s pleasure. She had invited all of the Weasly clan, few close friends, and their old very wise ex Professor, Albus Dumbledore. Harry had been delighted to see them all and thanked them each for coming when they left.

Now, the so called “Dream Team” sat comfortably on the roof. All three pleasantly full as they enjoyed the silence of each others company while gazing at the sunset. Hermione smiled happily and took Ron’s hand in hers. At the party, Hermione had announced for her to be pregnant making Ron the happiest ever. With a small smile, he squeezed it gently in return. Harry noticed all of that and watched his in love friends, which had been married just some month ago. The girl was wearing her hair up, little curls escaping to form her hearted face; the stylish hairdo had been done purposely for the party.

“Mione, thank-you so much.” Interrupted Harry, he smiled as she turned to him. That must have been the hundredth of time Harry had thanked her. “It was my pleasure, really.” She flashed her intelligent chocolate eyes at him and winked. They laughed. There was another moment of silence between them. “Harry,” Said Angel’s stomach contrasted at the tone of voice Hermione used and instantly, Harry knew that Ron must have filled her in on what had happened during the way home. “And then Ron…” She stopped as Harry nodded. “Do you wish to tell us now?” Harry looked away with contemplative eyes and breathed in heavily. “Harry mate, we aren’t forcing you. If you don’t want to just yet then…” “No its ok. I guess, I will now.”
Four eyes watched him as he hugged his knees to his chest and looked up in the heavens above. “I went walking in the temple. You know how it is in there, I mean, both of you already went. You can then imagine how it was to see those golden columns and crimson marble…”

---FLASHBACK---
Harry awed at the beautiful decorations the temple had. He walked on the creamy colored marble. The wall had few ceramic holly statues that seemed to look at him as he strolled carefully around. Even if it was called a temple, the ceilings were high, like the ones of a church. Colored glass pictured some landscape or holly scenes. He turned left, heart thumping wildly in his chest as huge oak doors decorated with other holly designs stood before him. He stopped to adjust the light blue tunic and retract his wings. ‘This is it.’ The Angel kept on thinking. ‘My future, my destiny…All behind here.’ With shaky hands he went to touch the doors. ‘My purpose in life…’

“Come in child, don’t hesitate.”

Harry froze as the doors opened suddenly. Light blinded him for a moment as he stepped in soothed by the voice. “Don’t be scared.” Emerald eyes blinked as he got used to the light. The voice didn’t sound like a male’s one, he realized. But, it didn’t even sound quite female either. He stepped forward, curiosity got the better of him when he finally saw…When he finally saw…

“Father.” He knelt on his knees giving him a respectful bow. He courteously looked up, and was more than surprised to see…To see God smiling. God outstretched his hands.

“Come in my arms my child, my Harry.” Harry stood up and went in the protective arms. He closed his eyes, feeling peace and utter bliss. The Angel’s arms tightened a little. “Father…” he whispered truly happy. A feel of absolute love erupted into him and he smiled as he hid his face in the wavy long brown hair.

“My beautiful Harry, and so we meet. I’ve watched you closely all this years, since you’ve been born. Surviving without parents…That I took away from you,”

“No.” Harry said quickly. He stepped back to look in God’s eyes. He didn’t know what color they were, they looked golden but sea blue at the same time. God raised an eyebrow surprised, Harry bowed at that. “Father, I hold nothing against you for what happened. In my heart there is only gratitude, acceptance and love for all that you gave me and still today, that you give me.”

“You came to believe then, that not even God can bring to life the one struck by the demon’s arrow?” Harry nodded. “Yes my Lord.” He said sincerely. “And now you’re here, wanting to know some answers to your question.” Harry was pulled up by his bent position by God himself. He took his hand and caressed it. Harry’s breath hitched as he looked up at him. He suddenly didn’t know why they all referred to him as a male since he looked female and male at the same time. His face and body seemed to have no gender but much of both. All in all, to Harry, God was the most beautiful thing he ever laid eyes on.

“Father, I came here to know what you want for me to be. What mission you have in mind for me to succeed in because, I won’t never let you down.” At the slightly nervous speech, God laughed good naturally and caressed Harry’s burning cheek lovingly. “You’re very pure at heart, Harry. I know. Your tongue can only speak the truth. The language of the heart and still, of the mind.” “What holds in my future?” He couldn’t help but the question to come out. God smiled softly, placing a lock of hair behind Harry’s ear and walked towards the walk in windows. Harry followed not sure about the silence that had fallen between them and gazed at the flower garden before them.

“I’m surprised you want to know about what holds for you in the future, first. All the times you prayed to me, you asked me to answer all those questions about your parents…” God watched Harry’s eyes darken. “Very well, I’ll start with the future then.”
There was another moment of pause as God inhaled as he looked at out of the windows again.
“You might seem fragile on the outside my Harry, but your strong and highly courageous. You can distinguish the good and bad, have remarkable magic powers and you’re agile and light in the air. Your kindness is touching, your fiery character thought, proofs how stubborn you can be.” Harry blushed, smiling clumsily at God’s words as he looked at him and then out of the windows. It was true, all of that, but why was he telling him? “And your love…A love for many things, a great pure love…” Harry’s eyes switched to God’s back, a slightly sad note was in his voice. “Your home, your parents, your world, your friends.” “And you my Father.” He whispered not sure if it was right for him to interrupt again. God breathed in and turned to look at him with a smile. “Yes Harry, I’m sure of that.” A warm hand went to gently squeeze his shoulder again. “And a love…” Emerald eyes blinked at him confused.

“Yet to be discovered, to feel and to be returned.”
“I…” Harry looked bemused as he watched God’s expression become happy and sad at the same time. “My Lord, I don’t understand. My greatest love is you, and your love I feel and your love is returned.” God smiled gently and took Harry’s face in his hands and kissed him on the forehead. “My child that you should always have. Although no, I’m not talking about that.” Said Angel was completely clueless.

“You have a soul mate, Harry.” The Angel’s heart gave a sudden hard thump at the words. “A…Soul mate?” He whispered breathlessly. God nodded, thumb slowly caressing his cheek. “Do you know what that is?” He received a small nod from the boy. “But Father,” He argued silently. “Why do you seem so sad? I will always love you, above from all.” God closed his eyes full of tears and smiled at the Angel that he now pulled in a hug. “My Harry, your soul mate is your destiny. No one can stop destiny to take its course, in a way or another, it will always end how it is supposed to end. Not even I can change the facts.” “But why…Why would you want to do that?” Harry gulped down, voice husky. God pulled out of the embrace to look in the Angel’s eyes. “Sometimes, our choices can modify what is to come. Make it better or worse, however, they will always come. Harry, your choice in a way or another will bring you away from me.” The Angel gasped horrified by the simple idea. He stepped back, hand going on the window for support. God let him go without hesitating.

“Whatever may come, I will loose you.”

Harry fought his impulsive tears away. The abrupt seriousness of the situation was suffocating him. Millions of thought travelled in his mind as his eyes searched God’s. “I won’t…Die, will I?” “That’s a possibility, but no. It’s not that. I will loose you Harry, to your soul mate.”

The Angel breathed in quickly trying to calm himself down. God stepped forward. “We’ll live here.” The Angel said hurriedly, “We’ll stay close to Hermione and Ron, I will produce a Heir with my wife in your honour.” God quieted him down gently as he shook his head. “No, no. Not ‘she’ Harry, ‘he’.” Harry’s mouth opened and closed with a small tremble. Emerald gems went wide with stupor. “You won’t loose me Father, you wont.” Harry’s eyes went solemn. “I’ll be here forever for you. I won’t let anything separate me from you. I…” His speech came to a hasty end as God looked at him straight in the eyes.

“Does it shame you to have another male like you to love?” His eyes had gone slightly hard. “Love as no age, no sex, no form or shape. It’s what you feel inside Harry. What you feel in your heart for that particular person. No mater what he or she is…” Harry gulped. “You’ll feel it. The distinct pull to your chest, and there will be no way in denying it. If you will, it would just end in hurting yourself. Your heart will ache till it can’t take it anymore and you will die. Die of broken heart with your love on the next. Both of you can’t live if one dies. You’re made for each other, in every way possible.” The Angel looked down feeling ashamed.
“Forgive me, Father.” He whispered, a tear rolled down his cheek. “I was just caught unprepared.” His broad shoulders shook in silent tears. “I can’t imagine a greater love, a love that will bring me away from you and…” He froze, quickly looking up in the sad knowing eyes of the holly father. “Yes, Hermione and Ron too.” “No…” He whispered distraught, tears running down freely. “No!” He repeated more heatedly. “No…” Harry shook his head weakly and stepped back till his back met the wall and slid on the floor.

The Angel breathed in heavily a terrified look was on his face. As God knelt before him he said, “Father, I’m scared.” “I would consider you a fool not to be, but you shouldn’t. It’s one of the most precious gifts, to experience a love like the one you have.” Harry hid his face in his arms. “What if I’ll never find him?” He sobbed between tears. He sniffed, gulping down as the Angel tried to calm himself.

“You will. That’s why you will be sent down on earth.” Harry looked up. “What?” God held a hand up to him. “You will still be an Angel but you will come upon the humans like one of them. There, you will find your mate…” “How do you know? Do you know who it is? Is he a mortal?” “Hush, Harry.” The raven head quieted down, occasional tears flowing down his heated cheeks. “Let me explain, you won’t be just any human, you will be a wizard so that you can use your magical powers. You will have a person with you, which will guide and protect you. Albus Dumbledore. He’ll come with you in the wizarding world to help you trough everything you might need help with.” “Father, and my mate? How…” God looked away for a moment. “All I can tell you is that he’s not a mortal.” “A…A wizard?” God shook his head. “He’ll seem one, just like you.” Harry felt his spirit lighten up. “Then he is an Angel like me!” He gave a hopeful smile. “Oh Father, this is then good news! Why send me to earth if only to meet another Angel?” God pulled Harry up with him a worried look on his face. “His not an Angel Harry, nor a mortal or wizard.” “Then…” An appalled look came upon his face.
“He’s a demon.”
---END OF FLASHBACK---

Harry found a crying Hermione on his lap that hugged him around his neck; his face was hidden on her shoulder, his own tears flowing down silently. Ron had come to the side, hugging the both of them, he too was crying. There were no words to be said, as each friend shredded unbelievable tears. The “Dream Team” stayed united like that till the heavens above became black with vividly diamond like stars to illuminate them.
The lone moon was no were to be found.

*-*-*-*
That same night as Harry went to bed, the images of his encounter with God played in his mind. It was as if they had pushed the play bottom over and over again. He laid down groaning slightly as he passed a hand trough his wild locks. His fingers then, came to trace the familiar scar.
He hadn’t said the whole story to his best friends. It was to hard especially for Hermione, that happened to be few weeks pregnant, to handle the emotional bucket. In a way, he knew that his friends would eventually get disappointed at him for not telling everything…But for their own sake, Harry found it wise to keep it to himself…

---FLASHBACK---
Harry’s eyes went to the size of tennis balls. Ok, so he had a soul mate, said person wasn’t a female and ok then, he had to go down to earth…Not see his friends and possibly his beloved Father for a long time but…

“A Demon?” Came the squeak.

God squeezed his shoulders and pulled him to the comfortable golden sits. “Harry…” “No!” He bellowed suddenly standing up, his shocked face contorted into anger. God looked up at him calmly. “No!” He repeated again, in that glorious Sunday sunny morning. His mouth shook with the too many words dying to come out all at once. Emerald gems twinkled with fresh tears. “It can’t be! I…I’m an Angel, Father! I can’t be with some one…With a Demon!” “Harry…” God sounded a little impatient. It wasn’t as if Harry hadn’t heard him when he had talked about love, but, when referring to Demons that crossed all limits for Harry.
“They are the reason my parents are dead!” He cried, heart aching. “I can’t possibly marry one of those…Those murders!” The Angel stumbled back weak with the emotional drain. At this, God’s eyes softened and without bothering to stand up, lifted his hand, did some wave and Harry found himself pulled in the familiar protective arms. The Angel whimpered helplessly, face hidden on God’s chest as he cried. God rocked him, caressing his hair and muttering few kind words.
“I know.” Whispered God as he rested his chin on Harry’s head. “I know.” His tone was calm and gentle. “What am I supposed to do?” Blubbered Harry with occasional trembles. Expressive green eyes peered up at God. “How am I to believe to fall in love with some one that I grew to despise and hates me in return?”

“Opposite attracts, Harry. Never heard of that?” The Angel’s brows met in a confused twist. “Father…” He wined. “You are right.” Admitted the Angel after some time, eyes looking down. “But we are way too different. We come from two whole different worlds and…”

“You talk like you already know him, my Angel.” Laughed God. “Sometimes, a difference it’s not much bad. It opens your mind to new views.” “I don’t want my mind to be opened to murderous selfish views!” He protested. “All Demons are the same, how could one be different if all they are is evil?”

“Then, they’d say we’re only good. And what is the different between us? Lots of things Harry. We are all different, and yes I might admit also, the same, in one way or another.” The raven head looked away grumpily.
“Learn how to forgive, Harry.” Said Angel looked up, eyes still watery even if he had calmed down. “But they,” “Yes, killed your parents and are full of bad deeds. Yet, one of them is the one love of your life.” Emerald gems darkened as the Angel fell in a contemplating silence. God watched him with adoration, still petting him as if he was the most precious thing in the world. It was then than he uncovered the scar with his fingers. When he grazed it gently, Harry looked up a youthful look on his face.
“My Harry, you’re so pure and young at heart.” He smiled. “This scar…Your mother possessed of great love.” “A love that protected and saved me from that Demon attack.” Finished Harry for him. “Yes, I know.”

God smiled sadly. “Your parents were brilliant people Harry, and I am more than proud to see you growing up every day more and more like them.” Harry’s heart throbbed. “Oh, Father.” He sighed overwhelmed. “It’s ok Harry, you don’t have to say anything.” At that, the Angel hugged him closer, snuggling his face in the warmth.
“I will get to see Sirius again, thought.” God smiled chuckling a little. “That’s right. He to had experience the same shock in finding out he had a soul mate. Thought, his was a wizard and till this very day, they are still living happily together.” A small smile crept on Harry’s futures. “Oh, I miss my Godfather terribly.” He admitted. Harry then straightened up and gazed God in the eyes. Another worried expression creased his handsome face.

“I won’t see you anymore.” He gulped. “I won’t see my friends.” God shook his head. “No matter what, I will always be with you Harry. I will watch you even if you will not be able to see me. And your friends…There’s plenty of space here.” His hand went on top of Harry’s heart. Harry looked at it before meeting the golden blue gaze of his Father. However, Harry’s eyes saddened.
“Now Harry, close your eyes and pray with me. I promise you that when you will step foot off of this temple you will feel much more better.” Harry nodded letting his eyes fall close as God united their hands in prayer.

“Have faith, my child.”

“Faith.” He repeated nodding slowly. Harry inhaled, feeling the air in his lungs.

“And pray.”

“I pray.” He nodded again. “I pray.”
---END OF FLASHBACK---

*-*-*-*
With that, Harry fell asleep up in the guest room his friends had offered. His dreams were peaceful as God watched over him and smiled.

“My Lord, when should I take the boy?”
There was a sigh. “Ah, my dear Albus, you won’t believe how hard it is for me to give Harry away.”
Albus Dumbledore nodded silently as he watched the mist of clouds showing a serene Harry sleeping. “It will be all for the better, hopefully.” In reply, God offered a curt nod. “My Lord, forgive me if I speak my thoughts. However, you won’t loose Harry and at the same time, you’ll gain another child.” “You’re a wise man, Albus. I trust you very much.” It was then that God turned to him. “Yes, it’s true what you say, but all here will miss Harry, awfully.”
Albus glanced at the sleeping Angel. “Whatever may come, it will be for the better. It’s written in the stars. In the end, everything will have its natural balance. And everything will be ok.” God thought on that. “Yes and hopefully, two worlds will join one in harmony.” He concluded.

“The Demons have been informed. They know.” Spoke Albus after a pause. “I believe the boy as already been sent on earth with his guide.” God nodded thoughtfully, eyes on Harry. “Excellent. In two days time, you will bring Harry down to earth. Let him stay at Hogwarts, your school of Witches and Wizards.” “Yes my Lord, I informed the guide of Harry’s soul mate already on the thought you’d want me to do that.” Another silent pause. “The guide also happens to be one of my Professors down in Hogwarts. An idea came to mind and we decided for him to play his assistance as a cover.” “What does this Professor teach?” “He’s a potion master, my Lord. It came to my hearing that also the boy is rather remarkable at the subject.” “Yes, Draco Malfoy.” Murmured God. “Harry instead, will play as the assistance to transfigurations as he seems to be good with charms, I trust Professor McGonagall very much.” He added trying to sooth his Father.

Again, God nodded. “I have the hunch she’ll serve you well.” And smiled at the old man.
With a wave of his hand, the image of Harry disappeared as the clouds mixed and he turned with a heavy sigh. “Prepare Harry for his journey. Tomorrow you should go to him and inform him on everything.” Albus bowed. “Like you wish, my Lord.” As God climbed the steps and passed his throne, he turned an unreadable expression on his face. “Good luck and watch over Harry.”

The old man’s bow deepened. “I will, thank-you.” God nodded slowly, eyes shining with sentiments as he turned elegantly to go to his bed chambers.
Albus Dumbledore stood straight up and turned his back to walk out of the holly place. His long beard shined silver in the darkness as he then, suddenly disappeared.
