Hermione staggered into her common room, it was after curfew and she was tired after the late night meeting of the DA. Although Voldemort had been defeated the year before the group continued meeting regularly. They were a tight group of friends and they would in fact still meet once a month for many years to come.
This particular night seventh-year Hermione Granger, Head Girl from Gryffindor, entered the Head’s common room silently. Voices coming from the Head Boy’s room made her freeze mid-step.
‘Bugger,’ she thought. Blaise Zabini was still awake and by the sound of it was not alone. She had to pass by his room to get to her own. She removed her shoes and tracked across the common room by the slim shaft of light that lay across the floor from Blaise’s open door.
“Are you sure Granger is asleep?”
That voice stopped Hermione dead in her tracks once more. Malfoy. Draco-moronic-sodding-ferret-Malfoy. What in bloody hell was he doing in the Head dorm this time of night?
“Yes, Draco she’s asleep. Now stop worrying and kiss me.”
‘Oh,’ Hermione thought. Then thought again with surprise, ‘Oh! That is what he was doing in the head dorms at this time of night.’
She couldn’t help herself; she turned to the door and took a step forward. Her eyes widened at the sight before her. Draco and Blaise were sitting on the bed in nothing more than boxers kissing deeply, passionately, lost in one another. Draco’s light angelic features contrasted perfectly with Blaise’s dark and swarthy handsomeness.
The two best specimens of what Slytherin House had to offer encompassed nearly every fantasy that Hermione had over the last year. Until now, her most naughty thoughts had always been one or the other but now, now, she would forever see the two of them together.
Hermione backed away from the door and turned to continue on to her room but her silent retreat was thwarted when she tripped over a shoe left in her path. She landed on her knees with a thump and an indelicate curse slipped from her lips as a white-hot streak of pain shot up her leg.
“I thought you said she was asleep?” came Draco’s irritated drawl from inside the room.
“I thought she was,” Blaise tried to explain, “I haven’t seen her all evening so I assumed that she had already gone to bed. And don’t say it… I know to assume makes an ass out of you and me.”
Hermione scrambled to her feet when she heard footsteps coming toward the door and she squinted as the bright light hit her when Blaise opened his door the rest of the way.
“Well, well, well,” Draco’s lazy burr assaulted her senses, “The Gryffindor Lioness caught out of her den after curfew.”
“I at least I belong here, Draco Malfoy,” Hermione replied with more conviction than she truly felt. It wasn’t often she was faced with two Slytherins without Harry and Ron to back her up.
“While you both are right, this childish banter is getting quite tiresome,” Blaise broke in, “Hermione, I believe that I know a way to resolve this quandary to everyone’s satisfaction.”
Hermione’s brows knitted as Blaise and Draco shared a look. With a raised eyebrow Draco nodded and gave Hermione a smile that she could only describe as predatory. Hermione took two steps back as she tried to stammer a response.
“What? Malfoy. Zabini. ” Hermione’s voice squeaked as the two snakes backed her into a corner.
Hermione stiffened when they closed in around her but a moment later her eyes fluttered shut and her knees grew weak when Draco’s lips crashed to hers and a moment later Blaise’s tongue dueling with hers.
As they tore at each other’s clothes trying to expose their flesh to one another’s touch. They fumbled their way the scant few feet to Hermione’s room she had only one thought running through her passion fevered mind, ‘Reality was so much more satisfying than fantasy.’
