Out of Time and Memory
Hello, all you people! This is the first collaboration of two writers: Desertrain and Caiaphas. We want to make certain that you know a few things before you jump headfirst into what is sure to be a LARGE series of vignettes.
First of all, lets get the standardclaiclaimer out of the way. All it does is take up space, anyway. We do not own the Harry Potter universe, no matter how hard we wish to. We take them out to play every so often, but that’s about it. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Snape, Sirius, Remus, Dumbledore, James, Lily, and Neville—they all belong to this woman over in Edinburgh named J.K. Rowling. Real talented lady. Perhaps you’ve seen her name someplace before. Say, the front of the HP books?
Second, we want to make sure you understand the content we’re using as inspiration for these stories. The songs are all from a musical called Beethoven’s Last Night, by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It was originally about said composer, but when we were listening to the album after reading Order of the Phoenix, it took on a whole new light. If you are able to get hold of some of this music, either from downloading or buying the album, it would help a great deal in showing you how we thought of these stories. We ARE going to post the lyrics with the stories, but the music helps, too. Plus, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra just rocks. Trust us on this. Also take note, those of you familiar with the music, that it will not be in album order, but in the order that the characters flow best.
We will not be posting this disclaimer again, it interrupts the flow of the story, and in this series, flow will be VERY important.
Oh, yes, the flow. Each chapter of this will be from the POV of a different character. They may not actually end up in chronological order, but that’s okay. Each of these chapters may be read separate from each other, but they are tied by the music. There is no continuous plot line. This, as we said before, is a string of vignettes. Much like several one-shots posted as chapters.
So, with this said, plunge on in. Be sure to review ou gou go, we REALLY want to know what you think.
Thanks muchly!
